Pay cuts for public servants, and welfare recipients are the order of the day, as well as downward economic circumstances for those in the private sector.

The U.S. Housing and Urban Development agency harassed a single woman in Grand Rapids, Michigan for putting up a notice in her church, seeking a roommate of similar faith. In their demented minds, they assumed the authority to tell the woman with whom she could share the single bathroom in her home.
The ADF has gotten itself involved in this case, and HUD has dropped its accusation of housing discrimination, but has concluded that a two year window exists in which the complainant can sue this poor lady in civil court.
Chicago Carbon Exchange is converted to FERTILIZER
On Oct 21, 2010, the Chicago Carbon Exchange, powered by Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management, and Goldman Sachs EXPIRED. The bogus commodity of Carbon Credits dropped to near zero value, and in the shadow of the Tea Party Tsunami-style election sweep, the Carbon exchange went belly up. Cap and Trade legislation (which would have made carbon trading mandatory) is off the table, and without this fuel the Exchange could not survive.
The Chicago Carbon exchange was started up with grants from the Joyce Foundation, whose board has included such luminaries as Valery Jarrett and Barack Hussein Obama (’94-’02). Yes, Barack was on the board when the grants were issued.
In a nutshell, a government means to feed all its rich buddies, using money stolen from the little people who consume energy, has curled up and Died. (All costs to corporations are passed on to the consumer. This is the nuts and bolts economics knowledge which should cause any normal person to understand that “sticking it to the big companies” is eventually harmful to themselves).
Perhaps someone can illuminate the current position of Al Gore and Goldman Sachs, who have been primary participants in the Carbon Exchange Scam.
Knowing that the Obama Administration is filled with former Goldman Sachs people, one wonders what will become of that company, which has accepted public flagellation for private rewards.
In May, 2010, a Atlanta based company called Intercontinental Exchange had bought the Chicago Carbon Exchange, (by buying its parent company, Climate Exchange PLc). The latter company has since been chopped up into component parts.

Zhao Lianhai was sentenced to two and a half (more) years in jail for disturbing social order. His crime consists of starting a support group for parents of kids injured by tainted (melamine-containing) baby formula.
“Disturbing social order” consisted of having people hold up signs protesting the court and the formula factory, giving interviews to international news sources, and organizing a gathering of parents at a restaurant.
That’s one scary dude.
Harsher penalties being been meted out to dissidents is associated with the international attention accorded to political reformer Liu Xaiobo. The Chinese government likes to keep a lid on its difficulties.

Great Britain is another place of extreme political correctness, although at this time you might only be imprisoned for “hate speech” if you speak opposition to Islam or to gay practice.

Supposedly due to lack of need, the Planned Parenthood facility in Lawrence KS closed. This street mall site was not licensed nor inspected by the state, and was reported to have dispensed contraceptives and chemical abortives with no physician on site. Dr. Robert Crist was listed as a consultant for the facility.
The Planned Parenthood count in KS drops to three, says Life News.

Finally, the Times relates a story from one of Obama’s boyhood friends that some might say presaged the future.
One time, recalled the elder son, Slamet Januadi, now 52, Mr. Obama asked a group of boys whether they wanted to grow up to be president, a soldier or a businessman. A president would own nothing while a soldier would possess weapons and a businessmen would have money, the young Obama explained.
Mr. Januadi and his younger brother, both of whom later joined the Indonesian military, said they wanted to become soldiers. Another boy, a future banker, said he would become a businessman.
“Then Barry said he would become president and order the soldier to guard him and the businessman to use his money to build him something,” Mr. Januadi said. “We told him, ‘You cheated. You didn’t give us those details.’ “
“But we all became what we said we would,” he said.
