The Latest Story of Planned Parenthood Decline

is at STOPP International.   They have analysed planned parenthood’s 2010 annual report and it tells a tale of reduced services, increased proportion of abortion, lower sales, lower profit, lower adoptions, and lower total number of clinics in operation.

Planned Parenthood has suffered huge losses in private donations, which the Obama administration has had to cover with your tax dollars.  More than half of the abortion provider’s income is now  coming from YOU and your fellow Americans.

Addressing John Gehring’s Attack on Conservative Catholics

Pharmer spotted the  pretentious  John Gehring  telling us that it is a violation of  Catholic  teaching to support Rick Santorum.

Our CINO (Catholic in name only) lefties continually abuse the seamless garment type of philosophy in order to justify their own political views.
Basically they have supported a pro-abortion, pro-infanticide president and regime, in order to obtain some benefits from his promises to redistribute the wealth. One could compare such people to prostitutes, but that would be an unwarranted insult to the sex workers. CINOs instead forfeit the lives of their fellow humans in order to obtain largess from the government for their own personal interests and gain.

CINOs have pushed for a program of forced redistribution of wealth, which discourages personal charity and relegates the responsibility to a government which has become corrupt.

The greenie CINOs ignore the government’s forcing us to bring toxic levels of mercury into our homes (easily broken compact fluorescent bulbs) in the name of energy efficiency. They also ignore the extreme toxicity of lithium battery production for their greenie cars. They ignore the deaths of millions (from malaria and starvation) caused by irrational risk assessments by environmentalists, who ban pesticides. Those are their late term, human sacrifices to Mother Earth.

The CINOs look to unions to facilitate income redistribution while at the same time supporting tax and regulatory policies which have driven job creating corporations overseas. The Union workers and public sector workers are making much greater salaries on average than those from whom CINOs wish to extract taxes for bailing out the union pension plans. Meanwhile the dearth of U.S. jobs has sent immigrants with legitimate work permits back to Mexico, and American Blacks are suffering  increasingly worse unemployment than Whites.

So far CINOs have not seen much return on their personal investment in wealth redistribution. Pharmer is comforted by the fact that very few of these people will obtain even scraps from the tables of the corrupt politicians to whom they cling.

Lastly, if the Catholic Church really were actually teaching the garbage that John Gehring is expelling, This lifelong Catholic would have already found another religion.

The Main Reason That Raising Taxes Does Not Raise Revenue

As the above ground businesses are taxed / regulated out of existence or forced to migrate elsewhere,  the Black Market Grows.

The article linked at the top assures us that the underground economy is the second largest economy,  with a GDP well in excess of 10 trillion dollars yearly.

A map at the site displays the portion of economies around the world which are underground.  A new euphemism for black markets,  System D, for debrouillard, has been coined by Robert Neuworth, to convey his impression of  the self reliant sorts of people who make their living in the black  markets.  Excluding gun running, drugs, and slavery,  Neuwirth does not see an inherent moral problem with the underground economy.

Face It: Social Issues Impinge Upon Economic Issues.

Reading the opinions of people who can’t see the big picture is sometimes inspirational.   Salvatore of Breitbart is complaining that precious Republican debate time was wasted on the social issues, for example contraception.  Pharmer unloads in response:

Most people wish not to see the connection between the social issues and the economic issues. Those politicians who address the social issues are castigated, as they address the fact that something is a bit wrong in the lives of most of their fellow humans, and often their own lives as well.  Yes, P.J. the social issues impinge directly upon the economic issues.

Pharmer is here  to remind you what abortion did to social security, for example.  It lowered the payer to payee ratio. That is a serious problem which will kill the program soon.

Contraception? The “easy” forms of birth control feed the abortion industry, because of their effect on behavior, and because of the fact that they are not nearly as effective in actual use as the purveyors claim. Many forms are also related to the social security insolvency, by the way, due to the multiple means by which they reduce overall fertility.

Back to abortion: if you can kill those with medical difficulties, there is no need to develop the means to overcome these difficulties. Medical innovation ceases and there is stagnation.
Physician assisted suicide is also an easier short term solution which suppresses medical and technological innovation.
Such stagnation leads to further depression of the economy.

Divorce is a serious social issue which reduces the economic status of the family, and wastes resources through duplication of the household. There is a need for two dwellings, double furnishings, double heating and air conditioning. Divorce is NOT GREEN. It makes Mother Earth cry.
This is just scratching the surface.

It really is time for all people to get over the trauma of their personal circumstances, and admit that addressing social issues in an intelligent way would help the economy and the environment, as well as raise people’s standard of living.
This does not mean that the government should necessarily  have its  nose in very personal  affairs, but that it should stop rewarding detrimental behavior, and stop punishing those who make the effort to live up to commitments and hold their families together.

Detailed in this bit of “news” is the confirmation process ushering Biden to his new position as Secretary of State……. as if that mattered.

We have found that the Obaminator can make recess appointments EVEN WHEN CONGRESS IS NOT IN RECESS!!!!!!!    Apparently the Senators  are  so afraid of being dumped off of a bridge with cement shoes, that they dare not object to this abrogation of the Constitution.

Senate confirmation processes have very recently become superfluous.  However the fantasy appearance of Joe Biden before  Senator Kerry and  the Foreign Relations Committee is hilarious fun.  If you need a laugh, click HERE.

AP Whines that Rick Santorum Had Financial Success After Leaving Congress

Call a Waaaambulance!

Andrew Miga’s name appears at the top of an article which castigates Santorum for serving as a consultant and board member for various private industries and organizations,  and making hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.  Certainly these industries were interested in using him for regulatory advice because he came out of Washingthon.   Mind you, the article needed to produce a figure over a million dollars so it lumped together a year and seven plus months to come up with a 1.3 million dollar bonanza earned at multiple jobs.

Miga apparently found this success  to be inconsistent with his blue collar Pennsylvania origins.  A grandson of an Italian immigrant coal miner is not supposed to do this well.   There is no upward mobility for Americans in the future plans of leftists.   Such aspirations and grasping for success is unseemly.  Building a financial nest egg to fund the next election attempt is unacceptable behavior for a conservative  (but not for a leftist).

After 16 years in Congress Santorum is labeled as an insider, by the same media which said that Sarah Palin was no good because she was not an insider.

Paul Campos: A Failure To Appreciate Diversity

BODY Diversity that is.   Diversity is exalted in all its forms, except for what the liberals think is bad.   Paul Campos expressed this in an Opinion Worth Reading, addressing the Strong4Life  anti-fat, ad campaign.  He cleverly  ties this effort and  the attitude behind  Michelle Obama’s failing anti-obesity campaign together.

Leftists have their favorite religions which should be protected, and their un-favorites (Christianity).  They exalt the behavioral diversity of homosexual activity, and sometimes even incest (Professor  David Epstein), and pedophilia (ACLU/NAMBLA), if the mood is right.  Diverse responses to the very young  (ranging from killing them to lavish prenatal and perinatal care) are celebrated and funded with your tax dollars.  Poverty is celebrated, and sustained with government subsistence income.  If the leftists  can squeeze votes by celebrating diversity, it will be done.  They have wrung every vote possible from their sham “support” of racial minorities.

One  can plainly see which groups don’t bring votes to the Democrats.  They have given up on White Working People, and Pharmer thinks they have perhaps  bailed on Fat People too.

Perhaps we can be glad if the Obama administration is managing  to alienate some more voters with Michelles  ineffective anti-obesity  campaign,  meant to make Fat People more aware of something that is already brought to their attention multiple times daily. What they won’t be offering is an effective means to curb the unhealthy eating habits of Americans.  Leftists  will continue to be inconsistent in their supposed aims to foster health and longevity:  smoking = bad,  fast food=bad, sedentary lifestyle=bad, multiple sex partners=good, using the ‘rear exit’ for sex=good.

Families will have to keep both parents working at multiple jobs to pay the taxes and the bills, (and alimony and lawyers if they’re divorced).  They’ll be pressured to run their kids to various athletic events, or keep them inside, because they’re too scared of criminals and perverts to let the kids roam the outdoors.  They’ll continue to catch fast food on the fly, rather than cook  real food at home.  We see just one more example of the government wasting your tax dollars on a problem that is largely generated by their policies.

Incidentally,  Strong for Life is a program of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  The media and this organization are NOT trumpeting the (federal)  sources of funding.

Obama Care Driving Physicians Out of Practice

Small Business: Doctors going broke – Jan. 5, 2012.

Reimbursement for chemotherapeutic agents has decreased to the point that oncologists in private practice are losing money and taking out loans to stay in practice.   The burden of government compliance as well as the technical expertise and business expertise needed to run a private practice makes it an almost impossible task.

This is the second of the pressures coming from Obamacare which will drive half of physicians out of private practice.

Populations in rural areas will be most adversely affected by the loss of these practices.   We already understand that this population is not a priority concern of the Obama administration,  because it is too white, too evangelical, too rural.

The Obama campaign has given up on the support from white working people in the 2012 election.  Do not expect this particular problem to be addressed.  Obama will kill private medical practices in  a similar way that he is killing small farm businesses.

Report on Grass Roots Prolife Stalwarts in the Philippines

Philippines Pro-Life Advocates Close 2011 With Victories | LifeNews.com.

Pro-life people  of the Philippines (which constitute a clear majority) have expended considerable personal resources and effort to battle increasingly abortophilic politicians, and the money and resources flowing in from outside of the country.

Filipinos have been working to turn back efforts of the population controllers to pass a so called reproductive health bill since 1998.  It would be nice if they could use this time to serve their own economic needs, rather than fight meddlesome outside groups such as UNFPA, USAID, UNICEF, World Bank, JICA, European Union, IPPF etc. ,  who believe in curing poverty by killing the victims.

The article linked at the top  is Worth Your Attention, as it details the efforts of a caravan trip through the Philippines,  starting in Mindanao, and heading northward to Manila, which raised additional awareness about the  “RH” bill and its mandates.   The legislative session ended in December without passing the RH bill.   Consideration of the same sex marriage bill has been postponed indefinitely.
