School gives H1N1 influenza vaccine to the wrong kid….. without the parents permission. The nurse did not make a good effort to identify the recipient.
Seems that the mom, Naomi Troy, was waiting for advice from the pediatrician on the use of the vaccine, since little Nikayla (6 yo) has epilepsy.
It gets better……. Nikayla elicited stomach pain and itching after receiving the vaccine and the school sent her to the hospital. $$$$$$$$$$$$. The girl is apparently OK.
About half of the parents are said to not have submitted vaccine consents. There was also another vaccine error (with no details) at a Staten Island school.
The child’s mother is NOT pleased about this error. OUTRAGED in fact. ( $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ).
That was one hugely expensive vaccine.
