From Australia comes a story of a woman who decided to abort one of her twins due to a untoward fetal diagnosis of a heart defect. (In the pre-Obama care U.S. there are still corrective options for fetal heart defects.)
Due to an error, at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, the healthy twin was killed instead. The mistake was discovered at 32 weeks gestation, at which time the twin with the heart defect (according to the article) was delivered by “emergency” c-section and then killed.
The article’s author commiserates with the mom who has “lost two children”.
These two children were not lost. They were both willfully killed.
The governmental health care administrators might wish to consider the cost of post infanticide mental damage to the mother, and compare it to the cost of fetal or neonatal cardiac repair, or even the cost of keeping a newborn comfortable if he or she has a fatal defect.
Leftist Media Opposes Religious Diversity Among Christians
The media is now in a feeding frenzy regarding a private email from a campaign staffer, Jamie Johnson, of the Santorum campaign, because that person is not ready to have a female president of the United States.
The email, detailed above, was sent through his private account, not the campaign account, was passed to Bachmann’s campaign, and then exposed publicly.
Pharmer, ever vigilant to the gaping inconsistencies of leftist policy draws the gentle reader’s attention to the most favored religion of our media and academic institutions: Islam.
Islam regards women as a natural repository of evil, and source of temptation. The afterlife prospects of Islamic women are not good, and there is persistent segregation and suppression of the females in Islamic cultures. In Sharia law is acceptible to punish a woman for being raped.
Hopefully that will put in to proportion the media consternation that the Santorum campaign contains a staffer who does not think a woman should be president of the United States.
The religion of Rick Santorum himself contains no such restriction.
Suddenly the Left is Objecting to Golden Showers
Media Matters Tries To Stir Controversy Over Loesch, Limbaugh – Fails – Big Journalism.
This is a significant turnaround by our leftist media, which has been wailing and gnashing teeth over a video of U.S. Marines urinating on corpses of their Taliban enemies.
In leftie-land, prior to this time of new puritanism, urinating on someone was considered an acceptable alternative sex practice. It has been called golden showers, and is one of the activities more commonly associated with, but by no means limited to the gay community.
What is the source of the vehement leftie objection to providing golden showers to those Taliban corpses? Perhaps the fact that the deceased could not enjoy the warmth or the “fun” of being peed on, is seen as a problem. Incest and pedophilia have not aroused such ire in the media in recent years, nor has the torture of U.S. soldiers, and abuse of their corpses by various enemies.
Pharmer is expecting this (weird) “water sport” to increase among the military population, with the mixing of the sexes, as well as the end of “don’t ask, don’t tell” policies.

Translation: Minorities need the government assistance and population control methods that Democrats provide, using money that the U.S no longer has.
The success of the Democrat party overall has depended upon their misrepresentation of their activities and agenda. As more people turn off the leftist media, and become more attentive to the misdeeds of the government, Dems will lose their grip on power.
Crony Capitalism at the FDA – Comes Back To Bite
Some of the panalists on the FDA advisory committee which endorsed the Yaz and Yazmin branded birth control pills, had ties to Bayer, the manufacturer of those pills.
The panelists of the Reproductive Drugs Advisory Committee and the Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory committee jointly voted 15 to 11 that the benefits of drosperinone-containing BCPs outweighed the risks.
Some members reported their financial ties to Bayer, and the FDA thought that was just fine, and not a conflict of interest sufficient for their exclusion from the advisory groups.
Sidney Wolfe, MD, of Public Citizen comsumer advocacy group had opposed that class of birth control pills due to risk of thromboembolism. His role on the advisory committee was reduced to non-voting status due to his ‘intellectual conflicts’.
Intellectual conflict = bad. Financial conflict = good.
What goes around, comes around, and Bayer has to feed the lawyers now, after years of untoward post-marketing experience.

Prison Life Might Have Prepared Inmate for This
North Carolina cops are convinced that 22 year old fugitive Michael Leon Ward might have smuggled a 38 caliber revolver into his prison cell. He was thoroughly strip searched, however, at the time of admission to the county jail, leaving them with one theory concerning the transport.
That haunting Eddy Murphy song comes to mind. Yes…… the police think he was packing heat rectally. The 10 inch revolver was found in the toilet of the inmate’s cell.
It was test fired by some lucky official, and found to be operational.
Mr. Ward is said to have been taken to the hospital for injuries to his internal gun holster.
Do We Have Room to Criticize?
This video is said to be of a four month old baby who is claimed to have been tortured to death by Syrian forces suppressing those who protest against Bashir Assad.
At The Blaze there is more coverage of the conflicts, with a good deal of commentary about the barbarity of people who torture babies. The Daily Mail tells of a large dump of films on YouTube and social media, coming from the protesters. Many of the commenters there are skeptical of the films’ content.
Considering the manner in which the unborn and sometimes newborn babies are killed in the U.S., are we in a position to be castigating the Syrians?
Perils of Government Funded Catholic Schools
Because of the government funding of Catholic schools, the Archdiocese of St Boniface had to fire a principal at Christ the King elementary school. David Hood lost his position for encouraging the students to participate in the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil. One wonders if David Bereit and company could suggest legal help for Mr. Hood.
The school in Manitoba, Canada is 50 percent funded by the government, and therefore is a dependent ward of the state. The funding is forfeited for participating in political activity. The pro-aborts of Canada categorize abortion as politics in order to suppress free speech on the matter. At issue is a claim that student service credit was to be offered for students who participated in the prayer vigil. Hood says that no student received such credit.
Naturally the Canadian Catholic Church, as a ward of the government is not free to teach its students that abortion is wrong, or that it is a thing to be opposed.
Catholic schools in the U.S. are accepting government grants, and to the extent that they receive this money, their activities and teachings are similarly curtailed.
Stupid Lawsuit of the Year for 2011
It would take a Windy City appellate judge to make this decision. A dead Chicago teen, Hiroyuki Joho, is being sued for injuries caused by his flying body parts.
He was running across train tracks trying to catch a Metra train, and was hit by an Amtrak train going 70 mph. A good sized flying chunk of his body hit a 58 year old woman, Gayane Zokhrabov, standing on a train platform and she sued for injury damages.
What largess is this woman is expecting from the estate of an 18 year old??? Perhaps she was hoping that the boy’s mother would win her suit against the railroads, but both the first decision and the appeal were lost.
