A misattribution on the new Oval Office Rug

Jamie Stiehm – Oval Office rug gets history wrong.

WaPo  states that  a quote on the rug by Theodore Parker, a Boston Abolitionist and reformer, is misattributed to Martin Luther King.

The quote in question:  “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

Apparently  Dr. King liked that statement, however, and had no trouble to give credit where it was due.

Over at the Daily Mail, Don Surber reminds us that the Roosevelt quote on  rug  doesn’t mean what Obama thinks it does.

“The welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally upon the welfare of all of us”. from the Square Deal Speech really was not an invitation for the government to take over all of industry, as the Obamanator has planned.

In the same speech is a historical reference which also  foreshadows  Obamunism, a government under which Wall Street financiers and Corporate CEOs are paid lavishly under the table to accept public flagellation from the government, for the sake of showmanship.

“The outcome was equally fatal, whether the country fell into the hands of a wealthy oligarchy which exploited the poor or whether it fell under the domination of a turbulent mob which plundered the rich. In both cases there resulted violent alternations between tyranny and disorder, and a final complete loss of liberty to all citizens — destruction in the end overtaking the class which had for the moment been victorious as well as that which had momentarily been defeated. The death-knell of the Republic had rung as soon as the active power became lodged in the hands of those who sought, not to do justice to all citizens, rich and poor alike, but to stand for one special class and for its interests as opposed to the interests of others.”

Woman Eaten Alive by Maggots

Here’s a gross media contribution from just across the state line, about a Cincinnati woman’s untimely death. Apparently Jorene White, a sufferer from severe arthritis, was found in bed, with maggots eating the dead flesh of her bedsores, after a call to the police from her husband Darrell White.

Mr. White is in prison, accused of causing her death by neglect. Upon his arrest, he stated that his wife refused medical help, they did not have money for that help, and that he cared for her the best he could.

The woman in some audible reports was said to have been bedridden for 15 years.

There are a number of problems in this story of neglect. Two adults other than Mr. White and his wife are said to have shared that abode. He is the only one charged. While it is certain that Jorene White’s care was inadequate, it is not at all certain that any malice or intention to cause harm was involved. Obviously Mr. White was not well equipped for the exhausting, 24/7  job, and this condition applies to the majority of people.

The news story details no background leading up to this sad state of affairs.

The news story (styled for shock value) fails to acknowledge that many people, of little means, die from neglect due to lack of awareness that medical care is available for them. The media lie that 49 million Americans have no access to care has deeply sunken roots, and has caused many not to seek the existing medical help. We look forward now to the looming, rationed obama-care which that media lie was designed to bring about.

Maggots abound in the summer and are happy to offer free debridement services, removing necrotic tissue from any open sore which is not visible and regularly cleaned by professionals or other caregivers. Jorene White is among multitudes who have been found in this condition, in the U.S..

A note on the correct way to obtain medical maggot therapy, so as to avoid the extra media flagellation suffered by Mr. White:

LifeNews,  a prolife news source raised the possibility that he might have been booted in connection with a protest of the Obama commencement speech, though other possibilities are discussed  in the above linked article.

(Pharmer, an Indiana resident, had previously sent assurances to the Notre Dame administrators, that none of her offspring will be attending that institution.   There’s no use in spending extra bucks for a brand name, once the substance behind the brand  has been lost.)

Yes, if you want to find a decent article  about the Discovery channel building bomber, you need to go to the Mail Online…. that is, the  UK press.

In the UK, they’re a little tired of the enviro-nazis and are much more willing to see  them as they are, so it’s OK for their news media to mention the literature which fueled Mr. Lee’s craziness.

Yep,  ALGORE’s Inconvenient “Truth” was among the wackiness which AWAKENED the eco-bomber.

Hat’s off to the MAIL ONLINE for putting the most scoop in a single place.  Read up there, and give some good attention to Mr Lee’s disjointed manifesto.

Preachers Dare the IRS to Come After Them

Segment from the Glen Beck Show explains the old IRS regulation from the Johnson era which impeded political speech in the churches in exchange for maintaining non profit status. This regulation has no teeth, and hundreds of clergymen are set to prove it again this year. Sept. 26 will mark the third annual PULPIT FREEDOM SUNDAY, says David Barton of Wallbuilders.

It would be pleasing to see the U.S. Catholic Bishops challenge this regulation also.

Becket Fund to provide free defense for religious hospitals against government-ordered abortions.

Apparently the members of the ACLU recognize Catholic health care to be of such high quality that they want their abortions done at Catholic hospitals, rather than those hole-in-the-wall Planned Unparenthood clinics.

Their latest push is to pressure the government to force the religious affliliated hospital personnel  to vacuum the babies out of their women.
