Reason for cancelling the order for that fancy bathtub

Your friendly Pharmer went to Signature Hardware, in Erlanger Kentucky, a couple weeks ago (9/20/17) to purchase a new tub.  The cast iron claw foot tub in our bathroom has seen better days, and the finish is decaying.  No debridement could save this tub.  It’s past time for a replacement.   So the very nice sales representative at Signature spoke with me at length about a new one, and we went to the warehouse to pick one out from a group of them which were in stock, settling on a Donnelly model with a smooth finish, and a work order to drill an overfill hole in tub.   After a good deal of work trying to get the bathtub plus the work order into their system, I went on my merry way, expecting that tub to be delivered fairly quickly, with the hope that we could install it before a party to be held at the house.

Not a chance.  Today, just  I dialed up the lady who sold me the tub.  No answer.  So I dialed customer service  just before noon, and the lady who answered me was able to correctly identify my name from my phone number and pull up my invoice right away.  She seemed to understand the issue with the order, referencing a special note on it concerning the work order.    She told me that she would have the lady who sold the tub to me call me back when she traced what was going on with the order.

Nope……… no call back.  So I dialed both numbers again just before 5pm.  This time, the customer service rep seemed unable to find my number, asked for my name twice, and finally found the order, after I explained that the first rep could find my name and the order from my phone number.  After investigating, she told me that my tub had not been shipped because they were waiting for the claw feet to be shipped to them. 

This is why I initially asked if  any readers have ever been shipped a claw foot tub without the feet. (Some tubs have screw on feet, but one would expect them to be packed with the tub.)   The Donnelly tub that I saw in the warehouse, (which I explained to the rep) came with the feet attached (welded on, in fact). She then put me on hold for consultation with her supervisor. Returning to the phone, she admitted that the warehouse supervisor remembered showing me that tub, among others, and that there were four of them in stock.

Despite the rep saying that the tub might ship by Monday, (which she later admitted was not likely),  I decided to cancel my order.  The missing claw story bothered me.  There were obviously no separate claw feet on the order, since none were required for a tub with welded on feet. Was that a stock explanation for late or missing orders?

Moral of the story, Signature Hardware people………. don’t make up strange lies about why y’all screwed up an order and forgot to send it.  It destroys your credibility with the customer.

Kelloggs Corporate Heads in the Bubble

The Corporate Heads at Kelloggs discovered that their ad buyer affiliates were planting their brands on Breitbart.  Since that right wing website and it’s 45 million viewers are said not to be in line with Kelloggs Corporate Values (whatever those are), the company is working to remove its ads.

This has brought about a petition and a #dumpkelloggs campaign, as well as a boycott from those in middle America who are tired of being urinated upon by the elites.

Speaking of urination, it appears that Kelloggs products have also been urinated upon.  A video of a person doing this (taken at the Memphis facility in 2014, according to Kelloggs) have been making their way around the net.  Perhaps Kelloggs needs to be carefully cleaning its own house before passing judgment upon others. The ‘golden cereal’ video will be HERE until Kelloggs finds it and strong arms the site owners  into taking it down.

That didn’t take long…. China has suspended Apple’s music vid and iBooks. How about that!! Can you guess why? Leftists take heed. China has a strong central government which censors what its people sees. And it doesn’t like the social agenda of the West and what it’s pushing, 24/7. Apple is completely mum about this because we’d all be wondering why they hate the religious freedom states here so much, but put up with China completely suppressing their “rainbow” content. Many of our other multi-national companies are behaving the same way. Western Christians are so much easier to cow than the Chinese, Russians and the Muslims.

The LA Times reported on this event, but naturally had NO CLUE as to what would cause China to shut down most of Apples content service.

One more time, lefties.  This is what’s going to happen when you build that utopia of your dreams, with the government controlling everything.  There will be a decision that your habits bring about extreme financial burdens, and then………. POOF!

Costco Suffers Social Media Backlash for removing D’Sousa’s Book from Stock

WND confirmed that Costco has made a decision to return copies of Dinesh D’Sousa’s book, ‘America: Imagine the World Without Her’ to the publishers.

Jerome Corsi adds that Costco’s cofounder, Jim Sinegal is a big leftie, who is a Democrat donor, spoke at the 2012 DNC convention, and has personally done well within the capitalist system that Obama abhors.

Businesses have a right to sell whatever products they like, and exclude other products.  Shoppers have a right to patronize businesses which exude a culture and sell products which are more in tune with their own views and lifestyle.  Your’s truly is  wondering if some of the family members  will be moving over to Sam’s Club on account of Costco’s repeated expressions of affinity for the leftists.  The decision to cease carrying  D’Sousa’s book might be the last straw.

UPDATE 7-10:  “Nevermind!”   Costco claims to have discontinued the book based upon sales, and claim to have reversed their decision based upon sales (and not vigorous outcry from their member-shoppers).  The company is  reordering D’Sousa’s book. 

Income Inequality Grows Under Obama

The stock market has doubled in dollar value under Obama, with about 80 percent of that going to the top 10% of  income earners.  While Obama drones on about solving income inequality by stoking class envy against business owners, his cronies at the very top 1%  are raking in the dough. Last year they garnered another half trillion dollars, while the median income of American families dropped.  From 2009 to 2012, the top 1%of income earners snagged 95% of the total income gains.

A & E’s Big Stink Concerning Phil Robertson Proves Leftist’s Comprehension Deficit

The inability of leftists to process language is exemplified by the big stink being raised by activist groups, and the decision by A&E Network to suspend Phil Robertson from the Duck Dynasty Show.

GLAAD and other leftist groups are whining a claim that Phil compared their sexual activities to bestiality.   There is no such comparison.   The statement which they could not understand audibly or in writing, was a listing of various  practices (some of them not even pertaining to sex)  which Christians regard as sinful.

The source of controversy comes from Phil’s interview with GQ Magazine from which these quotes were obtained.

First is a list of sexual practices which Christians are instructed to avoid as sin, with homosexual behavior being part of a broader list.  No comparison is made here.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

If any leftists would like a lesson in how to identify or construct comparative sentences in English, Pharmer can help. (This blog is written by Pharmer only, on the fly, with no editorial assistance.)

Next came the much broader list of behaviors which Christians view as morally wrong and sinful. Note that, as above, that it contains both homosexual and heterosexual mis-behaviors as well as various other forms of sin.

 “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

In all of the available interview material, Pharmer noted that Phil was entirely self consistent to address homosexual behavior only, and avoid any rejection or castigation  of individuals simply because of  homosexual orientation.  Throughout the back and forth, the Robertson patriarch clearly demonstrated higher intelligence and facility with the language than did his critics. He  also demonstrated a greater respect for human rights, and an understanding of his own function within Christianity.

Phil’s followup statement  “I myself am a product of the ’60s; I centered my life around sex, drugs and rock and roll until I hit rock bottom and accepted Jesus as my Savior. My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the Bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together. However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.”

The message that we get from the leftist activists and from A&E is that Christians are not to speak their beliefs in public. We directly experience their judgmental and oppressive nature.

A&E has forgotten the reason why millions of people even know they exist, and that reason is Duck Dynasty.  The network execs do not realize that they need the Robertsons more than the Robertsons need them.

Pharmer has no cable television and never viewed anything from A&E before learning of Duck Dynasty.  After that show ceases, there will be no reason to purchase anything else from that network.  It’s likely that several million others feel the same way.  We will be looking forward to future productions from the Duck Commander crew when they have freed themselves from A&E.

There is a need now, more than ever, for Christians to direct  their financial resources towards those entities which tolerate or support their beliefs and  lifestyle choices.

Obama “Recovery” Hurts More than Bush Recession

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the inflation adjusted REAL median annual household income has fallen twice as much during the “recovery” (between 6/2009 and 6/2013) as it did during the preceding recession.

That horrible economic plunge, at the end of the Bush term coused a 1.8% decrease in household income, falling $1002 from $55480 to $54478.  During the period which Obama’s media has labeled a “recovery” the median income fell 4.4%, or $2380, from $54478 to $52098.

The last four years of Obama has seen average  household income drop almost $2400  per year. expressed in 2013 dollars.  A lot of this decrease is due to the conversion of full time jobs to part time jobs.  Has this happened to you, or anyone that you know?

You have been hearing the Obama media call this decrease in Americans’ average income a Recovery.   Do you agree with this term?    Would the media have labeled such a Decrease as a Recovery if it happened during any other president’s watch?

Do you think that Obama’s decision to put off the Keystone pipeline for another year is encouraging an actual economic recovery?  Do you think his decision to stop the construction of coal fired power plants is encouraging economic recovery?  Do you think the spectre of paying for higher priced health insurance has encouraged companies to hire more people, or do you think it might be the reason that more jobs are now part time?

Do you think that any other president would have been held more responsible for the negative economic consequences of his policies?   Does Obama get a pass because the media does not expect as much from him as they have  from other presidents?
