Thirteen year old Nathan Duszynski of Holland, Michigan saved up his lawn mowing money and bought a hot dog stand in order to bring in some income for his family. Both of his parents are disabled.
At the City Hall of Holland, Michigan Nathan and his parents were told that it would be fine to open up a hot dog stand, and no licenses were required. But on the first day of business for Nathan, the zoning office came down on him, and shut him down.
The hotdog stand is now up for sale, and one more American, small-business dream is squashed by big government.

ABC Attempted to Pin Batman Massacre on Tea Party
Blame game starts in Colorado shootings | Video | TheBlaze.com.
ABC’s Good Morning America attempted to pin the Batman shootings in Colorado on James Holmes found on the Aurora Colorado Tea Party Site. That individual is twice the age of the massacre suspect.
Pharmer wishes to return the favor. She wonders if the 24 year old James Holmes, who is the actual suspect, obtained his firearm from the Fast and Furious disbursement, or some similar government effort to purposely place arms in the hands of crazy people, for the purpose of obtaining support for gun control.
Pharmer notes that the Aurora Colorado location, is very close to the Columbine massacre, giving it enhanced historical significance.
Pharmer also notes the previous suggestions that Batman was timed to be released for political reasons as it had a similarly named bogeyman as the investment company which Romney led, and onto which Obama has projected myriad social evils. Is there a purposeful effort to cement said association in people’s minds?
Pro-lifers understand that Obama is quite capable of endorsing gratuitous killing, in the form of abortion, infanticide, as well as the death panels of his health care plan. He also is known for bragging about personally choosing who is to be killed next in armed forces or drone operations. Our president has sucked all meaning out of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Obama’s attorney general Eric Holder is known for his connection to the disbursement of firearms to the drug cartels in Mexico, resulting in hundreds of killings. The purpose was to incite crimes in order to obtain the sentiment for gun control. Obama cites executive privilege in his coverup of this Fast and Furious operation.
It is not difficult to believe that guns and explosives could have been supplied to the latest crazy killer, hoping for a new disaster, and to make a gullible voter base blame the killings on inanimate objects. Taking into consideration Obama’s past records, dealings and statements, arming a crazy man to sway public sentiment with a mass killing is not outside of his capabilities.
It’s “Tit for Tat” to the mainstream media: Pharmer thinks they are assisting Obama’s latest reelection effort, and will do it again.
Prayers for the Batman Massacre victims and their families, and hopes that the killer, and others who might be involved, are brought to justice.
The EPA Mission to Kill the Coal Industry
Curt Spaulding, EPA administrator commented to Yale students on the use of the EPA to kill the coal industry:
“you got to remember if you go to West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and all those places, you have coal communities who depend on coal. And to say that we just think those communities should just go away, we can’t do that. But she had to do what the law and policy suggested. And it’s painful. It’s painful every step of the way.”
How are people going to charge their electric cars after Obama stops coal production??
43 Catholic Organizations file 12 lawsuits against the HHS mandate
Forty-three Catholic organizations file lawsuits against HHS mandate :: Catholic News Agency (CNA).
Eleven or more lawsuits had already been filed against the Health and Human Services mandate to pay for birth control/abortion/sterilization, and now 43 more Catholic organizations have piled on.
Kathleen Sebelius, who had no idea that her mandate would be an unconstitutional problem, will be kept busy with depositions. Perhaps this will occupy some of her time and prevent her from doing further damage to health care and the economy.
The University of Steubenville, which has had to drop health coverage for its employees, is among the educational institutions suing the the Obama administration.
Draft Mental Health Bill 2011 | Sterilizations at Any Age | Natural Society
Draft Mental Health Bill 2011 | Sterilizations at Any Age | Natural Society.
Brave New World: Australia has introduced a bill to allow children to consent to sterilization. It also allows children 12 years and older to independently consent to psychosurgery and electroshock. This is a cost containment effort, to mitigate the burden of mental health care on the socialized medicine system.

Mahatma Gandhi on Birth Control
“It is my certain conviction that no man loses his freedom except through his own weakness.”
“Contraceptives are an insult to woman hood. The difference between a prostitute and a woman using contraceptives is only this that the former sells her body to several men, the latter sells it to one man. Man has no right to touch his wife so long as she does not wish to have a child, and the woman should have the will-power to resist even her own husband.” – Mohandas K. Gandhi (H, 5-5-1946, p. 118)
Ms. Fluke, Mahatma Gandhi had a lot to say on birth control. Certainly he would have had the left-gurls’ panties in a wad, and if he had been on talk radio, your side would have been going after his advertisers.
Drug Shortages Are Speeding Cancer Deaths, Survey Says
Drug Shortages Are Speeding Cancer Deaths, Survey Says.
The above claim comes from the results of an Epocrates survey of prescribers. The participants are paid a bit for their time, but the input is stirred up to make the submissions anonymous. What they found is that slightly less than half of the oncologists think that the drug shortages of chemotherapeutic agents have caused recurrences of tumors in their patients. This is due to the inability to properly schedule their treatment regimens due to short supplies. About 40 percent of the respondents think that some patients have died sooner as a result.
This article attributes most of the problem to economics: inadequate reimbursement for generic injectables, which discourages production. Pharmer recognizes the contribution of tax rates and government regulatory burdens from employment, to work place, environment, and production to the problem. The documentation of compliance imposes a dizzying cost, preventing new starts into production of pharmaceuticals.
There’s a Drug Shortage Prevention Act being pushed through to address this problem. It appears to address the manner of FDA oversight of drugs on the market to prevent that agency from causing more shortages, but apparently not the reimbursement issue. This might be best, if the cost of drug production is significantly reduced.
Pharmer likes to watch Medscape, because a lot of useful information is distilled there, though by no means without bias. In order to see most of the articles, you have to join. Check it out.
Dana Goldstein: Transfer Oversight of Your Sex Life From Your Boss to the Government
via Obama Birth Control Compromise Defuses Religion Issue – The Daily Beast.
Above linked is an address in favor of Obama’s new shell game “solution” to the fight with the religious people of the United States.
It’s just as bogus and unsustainable as the rest of Obamacare. Instead of forcing the religious institutions to pay for birth control, abortive drugs and sterilizations, he moves the cost to the insurers, which in turn move the cost back to the employers. The only change is that the employers do not have to speak to their employees about birth control. Obama is still making businesses sell specific products, and making the citizens pay for those products. UNCONSTITUTIONAL!
Pharmer is laughing at Dana Goldstein, of the Daily Beast, who think’s its not rational that a woman’s boss has influence over her sex life. She does think it’s more rational that the influence be transferred to the Government.
There are two to three generations of lefties completely convinced that there is a right for humans to have sex, and that someone else should have to fund the activity and the results: erectile dysfunction meds, birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, infertility, child birth, abortions, etc. I think that human rights end where another human begins. Sex involves two people at least, and can make more.
From the Pharmer comes a more libertarian viewpoint. Why can’t people assume more responsibility for their own behaviors and consequences?? The total cost of health care would go down if people knew that they had to take care of their own sex life and its results.
Third party payment is what has made the cost of health care (and education too) skyrocket, with no return on the extra investment. People are almost never good stewards of other people’s money.
Consider this novel idea… people delay sex until they can foot the bills. Birth control should be paid for in cash, and the same for sex enhancers and drugs for erectile dysfunction. People can enter their choice of insurance pools for to soften the expenses for complications of reproduction. That can be handled in a way similar to dental or life insurance. The cost of reproductive health care would plummet.
Certainly this would not appeal to the lefties who are used to trading in all their other freedoms in order to have sex with people they don’t even like, (or with children).
Maybe those who are interested in freedom and self determination should give the idea of personal responsibility another look.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg Not Recommending US Constitution as Model for Egypt
Anything but the U.S. Constitution………. which Supreme Court Justice Bader-Ginsburg apparently thinks is too old and outdated. It shows in how she has refused to uphold it in many of her decisions. How’s that for job dissatisfaction?
Update: There is significant interest in this particular news item, as evidenced by the numerous visits to this post. Pharmer’s Paternal Unit weighed in offline, wishing Bader-Ginsberg could be impeached, and citing the conflict of interest with her stated job function and obligation.
Right Truth: Obamacare- The Unintended Consequences
Right Truth: The Unintended Consequences Begin.
Read up…….. yes it’s true, the introduction of the new Epic systems for electronic record keeping in hospitals costs a lot, and it is associated with layoffs. Managers are in a tizzy about cost efficiency. There is effort to eliminate duplicate services and personnel.
The article linked above notes the relationship of Epics Judith Faulkner and donations to the Democrat Party, and her job on the Health Information Technology Policy Committee as Obama’s Medical Records Czar. Hmmmmmmmmm
