British court rules Catholic midwives can be forced to participate in abortions | LifeSiteNews.com.

Yes, it can be a lot harder to exercise rights of conscience once you rise into the supervisory and administrative ranks of health care institutions that must offer abortions.

Under socialized medicine, there might be some allowance for health care professionals to conscientiously avoid killing their patients. The problem with rising to the supervisory roles is that one would be forced to oversee the health care professionals who participate in this killing.

This is the crux of the case of two midwife supervisors, Miss Mary Doogan and Mrs Connie Wood, in the UK health system who did not want to involve themselves in that aspect of health care.

The judge in the Edinburgh Court of Session ruled against the midwives, saying that their job was not covered by conscience protections in the Abortion Act.

Judge Lady Smith excluded the senior midwives of the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow from conscience protection because they were not actually performing abortions themselves.

“Infanticidal Lefties!” We Told You So

After-birth abortion: why should the baby live? — Giubilini and Minerva — Journal of Medical Ethics.

After about 40 years of hearing that the pro-lifers’ slippery slope arguments against abortion and euthanasia were not valid, or a departure from reality, Pharmer takes this opportunity to say We TOLD you so!.

As if this is news, the internet has taken up the above example, authored by “bioethicists” (qualified to be on Obama’s health advisory team) that infanticide of any newborn is OK, if the baby is considered inconvenient to the lifestyle of the parents.

Wesley Smith is giving the same article one more go around at Second Hand Smoke. Even he seems tired of writing about them.

What seems to be a shock in the media is just old news to pro-lifers, who knew our leftist, ideological opponents, and realized their nature from the beginning. Killing and slavery is still their thing. They have not evolved to anything higher throughout the centuries.

The question is whether those of us without this appetite for destruction are going to continue to fund the plans of these people to kill and enslave us.

Are you attending to your boycotting? Are you paying attention to the “service” projects that your kids are doing in school? Are you directing your charitable efforts towards groups aligned with your ethical beliefs?

Georgia Supreme Court Knocks Down Law Restricting Assisted Suicides | Fox News

Georgia Supreme Court Knocks Down Law Restricting Assisted Suicides | Fox News.

It appears that Georgia has no law against assisted suicides. There has been a law which restricts the advertising of assisted suicide. The Final Exit Network has been advertising this, and the fact that they helped a 58 year old cancer patient kill himself. This lead to a conviction of four of their members, which was overturned by the state’s Supreme Court last Monday.

The Supreme Court said that to ban the advertising, when there is no law against assisted suicide, amounts to a restriction on freedom of speech. The opinion, by Justice Hugh Thompson, suggested making a law against assisted suicide itself, rather than selectively going after those who publicly proclaimed their activities.

Dr Terry Lakin Rejected by Kansas Medical Board

The doctor will/won't see you now – KCTV 5.

It’s a random act of journalism! Click above for a video worth watching. KCTV5 skewers the Kansas Medical Board for denying former Army Lt. Colonel Terrence Lakin a license to practice in that state. Lakin has a very clean medical record after 18 years practice around the world with the military. He’s the conscientious objector who laid down his career, was court martialed and jailed for questioning the validity of Obama as commander in chief. Colorado and Maryland do not find this a problem with respect to Dr. Lakin’s medical licensure, but Kansas does.

The medical board questioned Lakin not on his medical credentials, but this birther issue, and rejected him on that basis.
Lakin will not be able to practice with his brother in Wichita Kansas (where the infamous George Tiller killed late term unborn babies). However a neurologist who did brain surgery on the wrong patient, inflicting permanent damage has been accepted, according to KCTV5.

Ralph Shortey Introduces Oklahoma Bill Outlawing Use of Aborted Fetuses in Food Industry | TheBlaze.com

Ralph Shortey Introduces Oklahoma Bill Outlawing Use of Aborted Fetuses in Food Industry | TheBlaze.com.

Over at the Blaze this Oklahoma legislation  to forbid the use of  fetal tissue seems strange, but Pharmer is glad that they decided to call attention to it.

This Oklahoma bill is addressing an existing problem, and is worthy of attention. Perhaps Oklahoma citizens who are cognizant of the embryonic stem cell and fetal cell  derived technologies can assist with the language of the bill and regulations stemming from it.

http://cogforlife.org/fetalproductsall.pdf Cogforlife.org has been tracking the production of medicinal, vaccine and food products cultured, produced or tested using embryonic stem cell derived technology. The group monitors which cell lines are utilized, and the origins of those cell lines.

http://www.neostem.com/ Neostem is an adult stem cell research corporation which is committed to obtaining the benefits of adult and umbilical cord stem cell usage while avoiding the ethical liability of using tissue from purposely killed humans.

Pharmer fired off  a letter to Senator Shortey, in the hopes that he might re-craft the bill to include human embryos in the language.   It

Europe’s Answer to Prenatal HIV Exposure

KILL THE BABY!!

They’ve lost energy and funding for medical research in Europe, and have been pushing abortion for all sorts of untoward prenatal diagnoses, so this new abomination is just one in a series.

This resolution was passed by Members of the European Parliament on the first of December. Along with the push for aborting the babies of HIV infected moms, comes promotion of the risky behavior which spreads HIV, and use of the inadequate means of “protection”.

A number of factors have pushed the advancement of medical science in Europe into a state of suspended animation. One is the inherently bankrupt nature of government run medicine. Another is the practice of killing the victims which eliminates the pressure to find medical means to alleviate their suffering.

There have been regimens of HIV meds given to  infected mothers,  and regimens of zidovudine or nevirapine used in newborns, to prevent the appearance of HIV in the infant, which have met with very high rates of success.

Apparently an extreme impoverishment of the health care systems in Europe  motivates them to promote abortion as a solution to this problem, instead of using antiretroviral drugs.

CDC Participates in Plan to Reduce Number of Organ Transplants

CDC’s proposed guidelines for transplants say two sex partners is too many for top-notch organ donors – NY Daily News.

Shazaam!  Just in time for Obamacare, all kinds of new standards for preventative exams  (reducing them),  and a means to reduce the desire for transplants, as well as the available pool have been generated.

SUDDENLY there are proposed new guidelines for the rating of organs in risk categories.

Those who participate in the sexual lifestyle touted as normal, by the progressives, are to be classed as high risk donors of organs.

People with two or more  sex partners in the last year will be considered at risk for transmission of hepatitis B or C, and HIV, etc.

The organ will be rated as risky and the potential recipient could be made aware of this, and be less likely to accept the transplant.

Organ transplants are expensive to carry out, and very expensive to maintain.   Obamacare requires that these be much fewer in number in order to avoid immediate failure through insolvency.

A way to achieve this goal has been provided by the CDC, with the excuse that 12 unexpected deaths from infections have occurred between 2007 and 2010  in transplant patients.

Wis. Doctors Reprimanded Over Protest Sick Notes « CBS Minnesota

Wis. Doctors Reprimanded Over Protest Sick Notes « CBS Minnesota.

The Wisconsin Medical Examining Board has reprimanded the physicians, for giving  out unjustified sick excuses for work absence , at the union protests in Madison Wisconsin.

An attorney representing some of the docs  says that this reprimand will remain on their records for the rest of their careers.  They are also being required to take continuing education in medical records keeping, and pay the costs of the board proceedings against them.

The Board found that the physicians did not keep proper records of having examined and found their patients ( fellow protesters)  too ill to go to their jobs. This failure therefore violated the public trust placed in physicians, the board determined.

Nearly all of the physicians investigated for this infraction are affiliated with the University of Wisconsin.  Seven of the doctors received their reprimands this past Wednesday.  Six of those are part of a group of 22 docs who were investigated by the University of Wisconsin medical school for the fake sick notes.  Some of those were found not to have handed out notes, and some were reprimanded or demoted.

Mississippi voters reject anti-abortion initiative – CNN.com

Mississippi voters reject anti-abortion initiative – CNN.com.

The Personhood Amendment (26) in Mississippi was voted down on Tuesday.

This amendment defined the beginning of life according to what is understood in biology for over 150 years.   Opponents feared that it could have led to laws and regulations to ban hormonal birth control and fertility treatments, since these things often operate with a mechanism to stop embryonic human life. The amendment itself contained no specific language involving bans or restrictions. The CNN article referenced above is incorrect in this regard, as it re-used scare tactics used by abortion supporters to oppose the amendment.

The admission of the ethical problems associated with birth control and certain fertility treatments comes late from promoters, many of whom formerly denied, concealed or obfuscated  the possible effects of embryonic or fetal demise.

University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Sued for Coercing Nurses to Assist Abortions

The Alliance Defense Fund has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in New Jersey against the University of Medicine and Dentistry on behalf of 12 nurses.  The University has been threatening nurses with loss of their jobs if they refuse to train for and assist in abortions.  This is a due to a recent change in policy and supervision of the nurses.

The suit asks for removal of federal funding for the hospital until it ceases religious discrimination against the nurses whose beliefs forbid participation in killing the unborn.  It asks also for the hospital to return 60 million in federal funding which it received in 2011,  attorney fees  and relief for the nurses as the Court sees fit.

A Copy of the Complaint filed with the United States District Court in NJ can be found HERE.

Pharmer congratulates the 12 Nurses who have distinguished themselves  by courageously taking action against the hospital, and offers prayers for their success.  (Be encouraged.  There is life, and even a job after this kind of  lawsuit.  Been there, done that.)
