Good News: Neighbor Foils Kidnapping of 6 Year Old Girl

Neighbor chases Kidnapper, saves girl | Albuquerque, N.M. | KRQE News 13.

An alert neighbor watched a man, parked beside a South Valley, NM playground,  attempt to coax a little girl into his van.  When she resisted, the kidnapper got out and pushed her in.

The neighbor (not named in the news story) got into his car and followed the kidnapper while dialing 911.

In an attempt to lose the trailing neighbor, the kidnapper attempted to get away into the desert and crashed his van.

All ended well, with the perpetrator attempting to run and the anonymous hero rescuing the girl from the vehicle.

Laura Brashier has set up an internet dating site, which offers an opportunity  for people who aren’t able to have sex, to seek dating and companionship.

This addresses the needs of those  who have, for health and physical reasons, been  ‘ pushed out of the game’ permanently.   Brashier, herself a survivor of cervical cancer, has found a practical way to address a common limitation.

Above linked  is a story about the Utoya youth camp in Norway, written before the slaughter occurred there.  It is  characterized  as an incubator for future labor party leaders.

See also coverage of the rising death toll,  92 so far, at the hands of Anders Behring Breivik, who posed as a cop to gain the advantage over his victims.

The U.S. media is, of course identifying the attacker as a right wing extremist, identifying him with the very peaceful and orderly Tea party.  Political “Right” and “left” do not translate well between mostly capitalistic and mostly socialistic countries, but that does not stop the propaganda efforts of the U.S. media.    For this reason, translations from Norway’s media are referenced here.

No Felony Charges For Longmont Woman In TSA Groping Case « CBS Denver.

Yukari Miyamae  has been released and allowed to go home to Longmont Colorado.  Felony charges will not be pressed, but she might face misdemeanor charges for grabbing a TSA agent.  It seems that the altercation was over her wishing not to go through the scanner.  She’s a frequent flier, and one  can imagine the reasons why she has no love for the “rays”.

Miyamae has supporters (see comment) who wish for her to suffer no felony charges  as she was defending herself from an impending assault on her person. One of them brought news of her motivations to this blog.

Pharmer understands COMPLETELY, and  wishes to delay flying until the TSA learns to behave itself.

The usual economic pressures of boycotting would not induce this government (which is intent on downsizing the economic power of the U.S.) to rein in the TSA.  There is hope that the next administration will want to assist the recovery of the airline industry by putting a stop to the groping.

Update on Yukari Miyamae’s name…. Fox news alternatively transliterates her name as Mihamae,  or Miyamae. Go with Miyamae – sorry, facebook supporters.

IN A CELL NEXT TO HER alleged attacker

After Jail Time for Contempt, Alleged Rape Victim Returns to Testify.

Defense attorney Gabi Silver badgered the victim in court, insinuating that the attack might be her fault.   The victim snapped  back saying “get to the point, b***h”.   For this she got three days in jail, next to one of the men, Curtis King,  who is accused of beating and raping her.  (Another suspect remains at large.)

After Fox aired the story,  the judge, Vanessa Bradley,  found a reason to reduce the sentence for contempt of court, releasing the victim a day early.

Sung-Bong Choi’s Viral Vocal Video

Korea’s Got Talent has their own Susan Boyle style of Viral Video.

Check out 22 year old Sung Bong Choi’s performance.

Some versions of this video perhaps did not give the full interview explaining that Choi did attend high school and had vocal training. This video shows him mentioning having taken “master lessons”. No amount of vocal training will produce a voice like his from nothing. Choi is a natural.

Hopefully this guy’s life is looking up.

Millions of people are unfamiliar with equine herpes EHV-1 (out of 5 types), and will become curious as to the relationship of the disease with the rodeo queens.  Click Click Click!

There is no direct relationship.  Equine herpes is not an STD, not contagious to humans,  but is highly contagious to other horses.

This outbreak of equine herpes is becoming a big concern, as this strain is potentially fatal, and  it can remain latent in a horse which recovers from the clinical phase of the disease.    From an Aggie  standpoint it is serious business.

The Davis County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse Junior Queen Contest had to subsitute their  actual riding event  with stick pony riding to prevent the horses from being exposed to each other and spreading herpes.   A former contestant commented that this would be strange, but would still serve to test the contestants knowledge of the routine.
