Bidens below average in charitable giving – Washington Times

Bidens below average in charitable giving – Washington Times.

Liberals want to give away YOUR money, not theirs.  Hence, Bidens, as in the past, are still tightwads in the charitable giving department.

Of $333,000 official income in 2009, Bidens gave $4,820 , or 1.4$.

Not impressive.

The Obamas,  who were more attentive to catching  up with the Palins,  gave a higher percentage of their $5.5 million income last year:  329,ooo or 5.9 percent.

Pharmer doesn’t think either of the families can keep up with  Sarah and Todd, however.   For one example,  Sarah   forked over her entire Ohio Right to Life speaker’s fee  (after tax portion) to the pro-life cause which she was supporting at the event on March 5th.

Neil Armstrong is Strongly Critical of Obama’s Crippling of US Space Program

Here’s the text of a letter from three luminaries of space exploration provided at the Politico.

“The United States entered into the challenge of space exploration under President Eisenhower’s first term, however, it was the Soviet Union who excelled in those early years,” the letter begins.”Under the bold vision of Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon, and with the overwhelming approval of the American people, we rapidly closed the gap in the final third of the 20th century, and became the world leader in space exploration. …

“When President Obama recently released his budget for NASA, he proposed a slight increase in total funding, substantial research and technology development, an extension of the International Space Station operation until 2020, long range planning for a new but undefined heavy lift rocket and significant funding for the development of commercial access to low earth orbit.

“Although some of these proposals have merit, the accompanying decision to cancel the Constellation program, its Ares 1 and Ares V rockets, and the Orion spacecraft, is devastating.

“America’s only path to low Earth orbit and the International Space Station will now be subject to an agreement with Russia to purchase space on their Soyuz (at a price of over 50 million dollars per seat with significant increases expected in the near future) until we have the capacity to provide transportation for ourselves. The availability of a commercial transport to orbit as envisioned in the President’s proposal cannot be predicted with any certainty, but is likely to take substantially longer and be more expensive than we would hope.

“It appears that we will have wasted our current ten plus billion dollar investment in Constellation and, equally importantly, we will have lost the many years required to recreate the equivalent of what we will have discarded.

For The United States, the leading space faring nation for nearly half a century, to be without carriage to low Earth orbit and with no human exploration capability to go beyond Earth orbit for an indeterminate time into the future, destines our nation to become one of second or even third rate stature. While the President’s plan envisages humans traveling away from Earth and perhaps toward Mars at some time in the future, the lack of developed rockets and spacecraft will assure that ability will not be available for many years.

Without the skill and experience that actual spacecraft operation provides, the USA is far too likely to be on a long downhill slide to mediocrity. America must decide if it wishes to remain a leader in space. If it does, we should institute a program which will give us the very best chance of achieving that goal.

This Bishop Finally got Mad Enough

to slap the media back..

Archbishop John G. Vlazny asks Catholic ministers to cancel Oregonian subscriptions | OregonLive.com.

He could have written a much stronger  letter to encourage the priests to stop their newspaper subscriptions, however.

Pharmer’s dropping this one on a few news sites.

Vengeance on the Pope for opposing Obamacare, and causing the USCCB to oppose Obamacare is a fresh  media blitz, dredging up old cases, with claims  that the guy who did the most to clean the LIBERAL pedophiles from the clergy, is somehow newly responsible for their offenses.

Par for the course for the ignorant media.

Who needs to pay for that recycled garbage??

Hey Libs, Obama Really Didn’t Mean That STuff About CEO Pay

Here’s Obama when he wanted your vote…. remember this? He was going to erase the evil of astronomical CEO salaries.

When Obama had a chance to regulate the pay of his very OWN Government Motors CEO…… $9 million, has just been approved, plus hiring him a helper, at almost $3 thousand per hour because, as you remember, Ed Whitaker ‘doesn’t know a thing about cars’!

GM CEO Whitacre receives $9M pay package – Yahoo! Finance.

Check out this video of Obama carrying on about the wall street CEO bonuses, telling them to cut their own pay.

Then watch February news  as he changes his mind……. well, those bonuses are suddenly OK again.    There’s also the pretense from the Obama-press that using stock to pay the bonuses is something new.  Those of us who have ever read business news know better.

Lefties, it appears that Obama is not going to solve your  bonus-envy issues  after all.

Why don’t you go buy some stock in the offending companies and show up at the shareholder’s meetings?

A Twist on Issue of Killing the Constellation Program

Maybe the Moon is not a place for Obama’s  kind……. the  state-worshiping  kind.  He’s  no Christian, nor does he practice as a   Muslim.  Neither religion allows for such anti-life   extremism as he  espouses.

Eric Metaxas » Archive » Communion on the Moon: July 20th, 1969.

It appears, according to Eric Metaxas and Buzz Aldrin,  that the first Meal served up on the moon was to remember Jesus Christ and thereby honor the Creator.

Maybe it’s fitting for Obama to avoid the place, and cut off  access given his  current state of mind.   He doesn’t have  the nerve  to reach out that far, and hence is killing  the most beneficial long-range government program ever implemented.

America will go back after Obama’s  term is up.   Maybe private entrepreneurs have sufficient faith to  do it better.

Harry Knox and the Condom Religion

Harry Knox, a notoriously contentious member of  the Obama Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, has gotten his publicity due to incorrect statements about the usefulness of condoms in reducing HIV, and inaccurate plus disrespectful statements regarding the Pope’s understanding of the science.

Like the acolytes of the climate change religion,  Knox will be sticking to his guns regarding  his ignorance of what has been observed with respect to condom use  and increasing incidence of HIV on a population level.

For a review of what the Pope said, and the science backing up his statement about condoms,  visit the memory division of the Pharm and follow the links.   Yes, it’s data enumerated by Harvard’s AIDS prevention research project which backs up the Pope’s  conclusion that condom distribution has failed to reduce HIV infection, and instead is associated with increase.

You know that the lefties target the Catholic church because it’s the biggest. Christian denomination.  If you worship the Creator in some way or other, (and not the government),  they’ll be going after you next.

So people of all faiths are welcome to sign a petition over at the St Michael Society Website, encouraging Obama to boot this Harry Knox nut.

Cheney to Ruin Obama’s Weekend

Shortly after Obama and Biden have taken credit for the Bush policy in Iraq, the surge, and the resultant strengthening of Iraq’s elected government, former VP Dick Cheney will appear on ABC “This Week” to correct the misperceptions.

As we recall, both Obama and Biden spoke repeatedly against Bush’s Iraq war effort, opposed General Petraeus,  opposed the troop surge, and declared the war a loss.

Lately there has been a sudden turnaround, with the Obama administration wishing to take credit for victory in Iraq. Those of us, with any  political memory at all, can recognize this blatant lie.  For those without the memory,  Pharmer is happy to supply a few links and a bit of video.

The coming week will be interesting as Obama’s administration is forced to respond to Cheney’s criticisms once more.   Pharmer appreciates that Cheney has seen fit to sacrifice hope of a peaceful retirement,  remind people of the facts, and goad the current administration regarding its weak foreign policy.
