Islamic Preacher Pays Fine, is Released from Jail after Raping, Torturing and Killing Daughter

Fayhan al-Ghamdi, a popular Islamic preacher and television guest,  doubted the virginity of his 5 year old daughter.  This is the claimed excuse for raping, torturing and killing her.

Lamia al-Ghamdi  (or Lama) was admitted to the hospital on Dec 25, 2011, with multiple injuries including a crushed skull, broken back,  and indications that she had been “raped everywhere”.  There was an attempt to burn her rectum shut.  She died on the following Oct 22nd.

The father served a short time in jail, but was released upon paying a fine,200,000 riyals ($50,000 US) of  blood money, to the nearest kin.  Activists in Saudi Arabia are protesting the light sentence.

Lamia’s death is said to serve as punishment, and this justified the light sentence for her father.   Islamic law does not permit execution for a male who murders his children or wife.

The scary thought is if  al Ghamdi has a wife or wives remaining with him.

“The women’s rights activist Manal al-Sharif and others issued a press release on Feb 2, and launched a Twitter campaign using the hashtags #AnaLama (Arabic for “I am Lama”) and #IamLama, demanding legislation criminalizing violence against women and children.”

MEMRITV is a site you can visit for a video log of what’s happening in the Middle East.   Click on that site, look over to the right for video number 3272.   That one tells you of the virtue police in Saudi Arabia which held 15 female students inside a burning school, and refused to allow rescue because they were not wearing the hijab, traditional headcovering.  Death penalty without due process for not adhering to the dress code.

Apparently it  sux to be a female in a Muslim governed society.

New Saudi Fatwa Defends Pedophilia as ‘Marriage’ :: Raymond Ibrahim.

Dr. Salih  bin Fawzin,  held in high esteem in Saudi Arabia as a member of its highest religious council, has issued a fatwa defending child rape within the confines of a muslim marriage.  He states that Sharia has no minimum age for marriage and that it may be consummated as soon as the “husband” thinks the little girl can “bear his weight”.

A result of this torture of girls has spawned the advocacy of sex slavery by a whacko female Kuwaiti activist.    Apparently  she’s grossed out by the men in her social circles.

Meet Salwa al-Mutairi, who would sell out women from other countries just to distract her own guys elsewhere.  Pharmer assumes that her personal  experiences with men have not been good.

One wonders if this news has wrecked the religious season for rational Muslims and if they’d like to give some response to the above mentioned individuals.
