The Quran Burning As A Warning

It appears that the “Burn a Koran” day will proceed as planned at the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville Florida. Their pastor, Rev. Terry Jones, who has received death threats galore, and has been burned in effigy during Muslim protests, says his act is meant to be a warning. Perhaps he has a point, when one considers the following.

The posture of the US has been bent over for so long, that the following response is accepted as a matter of course.

“It is the duty of Muslims to react,” said Mohammad Mukhtar, a cleric and candidate for the Afghan parliament in the Sept. 18 election. “When their holy book Quran gets burned in public, then there is nothing left. If this happens, I think the first and most important reaction will be that wherever Americans are seen, they will be killed. No matter where they will be in the world they will be killed.

This Muslim preacher thinks that randomly killing people unrelated to a particular offense is TO BE EXPECTED. It’s OK for him to say it, and for THIS PUBLICATION to quote it, and it raises no eyebrows at all.

One more time…… to our strange and whacked out journalists it’s NORMAL and PROPORTIONATE, for Muslims to threaten to randomly kill people throughout the world, who are unrelated to the offense of the Quran burning in Florida.

The head of the military forces in Afghanistan also accepts it and finds it to be normal behavior over there.

Pastor Terry Richards is being accused of inciting violence, as though Muslims worldwide, have no control over their responses.

Are there any Muslims who think there is something wrong with this picture?

Chris Matthews is Still Tingling! All Over!

Above from MSNBC.

Text at Newsbusters………. Matthews corrects us: it’s a thrill not a tingle.

(Speaking of Obama’s derailment, and Reagan’s ability to inspire with words:)

MATTHEWS: Can a Democrat talk like that?

KESSLER: Yes. I mean, look, you talked about that tingle up your leg. I mean you know…

MATTHEWS: It wasn’t a tingle, up my leg, that’s what right wing fascists say. I got a thrill up my leg. Okay? You’re reading the right wing blogs. Start tuning your station.

KESSLER: My, my apologies.

MATTHEWS: No it’s not enough, because you’re reading the wrong stuff. But go ahead, I was just kidding. I can take it. I’m sorry.

Doctor’s four-state abortion business under investigation | Philadelphia Inquirer | 09/03/2010.

Thinks are crashing down all around Notorious Abortionist Steven Brigham, who runs a chain of abortion clinics in four States.  This guy has had his license to practice medicine  revoked in multiple states, and is under investigation for continuing  incompetence at his clinics.   Pennsylvania has ordered him to stop providing abortions in that state.

It remains quite difficult to stop an abortionist who has lost his license to practice, from killing humans.

Muslims Protest Plans to Burn Quran – WSJ.com.   This could be a two edged sword.  Petraeus is worried that a church protest in Florida will hurt the troops in Afghanistan.

Maybe the real harm to the troops has been the planned exit date and the US constantly assuming a bent over posture.   Read about the military burning Bibles for the Muslims. Lefties will need the CNN version of the same story.

Pharmer suggests using engines  other than Google to search for stories of Muslims being less than respectful of Christianity.

Backlash in the United States for the victory-mosque plans on ground zero was predictable.    Americans realize that Christianity is severely limited or banned in many Muslim areas of the world, yet these people expect unfettered passage and freedom in  the Western world.

It would be nice for the various religious practitioners to stop peeing on each other,  but it isn’t rational to expect the Christians to uniformly accept persecutions and always surrender to the sensibilities of Muslims.  The constant turning-the-other-cheek business is quite difficult.

What David Marsland Really Said

David Marsland is scary, because he wants to let the government forcibly sterilize people, and pick which ones, but his statement is not quite as some reports indicated. A number of pro life and religious publications headlined that UK sociology Professor Marsland wanted to sterilize the unfit, or called for forced sterilization, etc. This isn’t exactly so.
It’s a natural, emotional response to wish that the gamete flow of child abusers could be corked up, as Marsland does. However, no one has the moral authority to force these bodily mutilations on other people. There needs to be recognition of a human autonomy to determine what is done to (just) one’s own body.

Marsland trusts government to decide who’s a child abuser, and forcibly sterilize these people.

Governments have shown themselves to be far too whacko to make any type of medical  decisions for anyone.

Pharmer is finding Marsland to be plenty misguided, with a seriously addled faith in government, but his actual words, recommending sterilization of child abusers, have him sounding more depressed and hopeless, and less a Hitler-ian eugenicist as some have implied.

This is Marsland’s brain “on” UK health care:

A misattribution on the new Oval Office Rug

Jamie Stiehm – Oval Office rug gets history wrong.

WaPo  states that  a quote on the rug by Theodore Parker, a Boston Abolitionist and reformer, is misattributed to Martin Luther King.

The quote in question:  “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

Apparently  Dr. King liked that statement, however, and had no trouble to give credit where it was due.

Over at the Daily Mail, Don Surber reminds us that the Roosevelt quote on  rug  doesn’t mean what Obama thinks it does.

“The welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally upon the welfare of all of us”. from the Square Deal Speech really was not an invitation for the government to take over all of industry, as the Obamanator has planned.

In the same speech is a historical reference which also  foreshadows  Obamunism, a government under which Wall Street financiers and Corporate CEOs are paid lavishly under the table to accept public flagellation from the government, for the sake of showmanship.

“The outcome was equally fatal, whether the country fell into the hands of a wealthy oligarchy which exploited the poor or whether it fell under the domination of a turbulent mob which plundered the rich. In both cases there resulted violent alternations between tyranny and disorder, and a final complete loss of liberty to all citizens — destruction in the end overtaking the class which had for the moment been victorious as well as that which had momentarily been defeated. The death-knell of the Republic had rung as soon as the active power became lodged in the hands of those who sought, not to do justice to all citizens, rich and poor alike, but to stand for one special class and for its interests as opposed to the interests of others.”
