Eugene Robinson: Rick Santorum’s Stillborn Baby Story Is “Very Weird” | RealClearPolitics.

The leftie media is still melting down over the manner in which the Santorum’s dealt with the death of their baby boy.  They held a sort of mini-wake for the child in their own home.  Karen Santorum served  a neonatal nurse for several years, and probably has many stories of life and death which would offend the tender sensibilities of Eugene Robsinson.

Many people need to deny the reality of death, though they might actually be supporting medical killing with their votes, or fostering the starvation, poisoning, or malaria deaths of so many people in other countries by supporting ill-conceived “green” policies.  The decisions to go to war, and war conduct might change drastically if people were not trying so hard to hide from death.

Perhaps the Santorum-haters  would need more than benzodiazepines  to sleep at night if they repeatedly  saw  reality of death as health care workers do, and tried to process the consequences of their voting habits.

Eugene Robinson obtained a Pulitzer prize for his 2008 non-coverage of the most radically pro-abortion and pro-infanticide politician in America.

 

 

School of Hard Knocks

Suit: Boy falls, teacher says crawl back to Skokie school – Chicago Sun-Times.

Devonshire Elementary School provided survivalist training to a six  year old boy who slipped in the snow, hitting his head and breaking his leg.

The following account comes from the parents,  Pritam and Priya, Chandani, and the school officials are not talking.

The teacher apparently told the boy, Rahul Chandani, to walk back, to the building, but he had to crawl as a result of the fractured tibia.

The parents were not notified nor was medical attention was offered to the boy, who was seen crawling by his mother when she picked him up after school.  She took him to the hospital.

As the survivalist training was not an expected or contracted part of the  curriculum, the school is facing a lawsuit filed by the parents.   There is no information as to whether the teacher still has a job.

Could a  teachers’ union member in Illinois be fired for such an infraction?

Oklahoma Teen Mom Shoots Intruder Dead | Calls 911 First for Permission | Sarah McKinley | Oklahoma City | Video | TheBlaze.com.

Sarah McKinley, an 18 year old mom, lost her husband to cancer on Christmas day,  and was forced to defend herself and her baby with deadly force on new years eve.

It’s likely that this mom has hospital, funeral and mortgage bills galore, in addition to the grief in her life.  So Pharmer did a search, and wouldn’t you know..

A fund has been established in Sarah McKinley’s name. “Donations will be accepted at the Chickasha Bank and Trust, located at 1525 N. Council Road in Blanchard. Donations can also be mailed to the same bank at P.O. Box 548 in Blanchard, Okla., 73010.”

It’s notable that even the leftie news could not speak negatively of this mom’s use of a shotgun after being on the phone with 911 for 21 minutes.

 

UPDATE: 1/31/13  Welcome to the Pharm, Blaze Readers.  The above story is about a year old, and your friendly Pharmer regrets that a leftie Senator made use of this woman’s particular plight to push gun control, and try to limit the availability of suitable self protection which most women could handle.  Happily Sarah was able to save herself and her baby, but if she had not been, it would not have mattered much to the far away center of CONTROL in Washington D.C..

Republican Primaries: Santorum Surges and Bachman Suspends.

Michele Bachmann Drops Out of Presidential Race – ABC News.

After finishing last in her home state, Bachmann has left the Republican presidential race.

Bachmann would have been fully capable of functioning in the role of President, but had difficulty in projecting that competency to the public.

A health care type of analogy:   Bachmann is a  “pharmacist”  and Palin is a “nurse”.   It would have been much easier for Palin to be elected.

The real winner in Iowa is Rick Santorum, even though Mitt Romney edged him by 8 votes or so.

Iowa is not a conservative state.  It has enough of a leftist base to allow for gay marriage, and to be the first state to adopt telemed  abortions.  Also in Iowa it is permissible for Democrats to vote in the Republican caucuses.

For Santorum to have done so well in that state is significant.

A Good Reason to Avoid Tourism in New York

New York City has mandatory three year jail sentences for tourists who attempt to turn in their guns upon seeing a “no guns” sign.

Above is a story detailing the jail term faced by a marine from Indiana, with no criminal record, who turned in his gun at the Empire State building.  He did not know his concealed carry permit was not valid in the state.

New York is locking up tourists for not being aware of the strict gun prohibitions in that state.

Make it easy on yourself, Don’t vacation in New York City.

No, This is Not Beneath Alan Colmes

Lowry Calls Out Alan Colmes for Mocking Death of Santorum’s Baby | Video | TheBlaze.com.

Nothing is beneath him.  Alan Colmes is probably suffering from some PSTD due to severe abuse in childhood.

Pharmer imagines him to have been the one given the most swirlies in grade school.

Deriving odd pleasure from death and grief of others is Alan’s thing,  and his treatment of the Santorum family’s grieving ritual, after the death of their baby, is fully within character.

In Pharmer’s radio  interview with Alan, he gleefully brought up California’s legislative effort in favor of euthanasia, just to obtain a bit more heat in the exchange, regarding health professionals who don’t want to take part in abortion.  The pleasure he was obtaining from the prospect of more medicalized killing was palpable.  That he obtained Matthews-style  tingle was not outside the realm of possibility.

There is something seriously wrong with Alan Colmes, and perhaps his place in media is as a sort of circus sideshow,  for shock value.

On the other hand, It’s good to see the Duggar Family up in Iowa, stumping for Santorum. A message to Republican elites…. the conservatives are coming
