Secular Prolife Notices: Drexel Law School Official is Fuzzy on the First Amendment

Pro-Life News of the Day: Drexel needs a civics lesson.

There’s a watchdog group at Drexel Law School waiting for pro-life protesters to violate the First Amendment. Kelsey at Secular Prolife notes that the Bill of Rights puts limits on government, not individuals. It’s not possible for an individual citizen, (who is not in government) to violate the First Amendment.
Kelsey also reveals that Drexel law students can get pro-bono credit for helping minors use the judicial by-pass to get abortions without their parents consent. With this comes the info that their own local Planned Parenthood, down the road, failed a 2010 health inspection, for failing to adequately follow up on their abortion patients. (Remenber when Kermit Gosnell’s infanticidal atrocities and slimy clinic suddenly aroused Pennsylvania interest in monitoring the status at abortion clinics?)

Friday Fax: US Bullies “Contraceptive Mandate” on International Community.

Obama will bend over for other nations on such things as national security, but his birth control-abortion-sterilization mandate is non-negotiable.

Using a thing mechanism called the Chairman’s text, which allows next to no time for other delegates to view the contents or comment on it, the views of the U.S. on “reproductive rights” were formed into a U N Resolution on Maternal Mortality. This year the limited meeting for other nations to comment was also held off site at the U.S. mission. (Does this seem similar to the Obama Care legislative process?)

Developing nations rejected another document, from the U.S. on the Status of Women, over similar language that they felt would expand the push for abortion. This is regarded as backlash against the U.S. due to its method of pushing through the Obama birth control agenda in the Maternal Mortality resolution.

UPDATE 2-Obama to push US agencies on south Keystone line | Reuters.

Obama appears to think that Americans are stupid. He’s photo-opping today, down in Cushing Oklahoma, to announce that he will prioritize authorization of the southern half of the Keystone pipeline.

Exactly what good is half of the pipeline to Trans Canada can be left up to the Democrats. Only they could come up with a reason why the company would bother to invest in half of the pipeline with no guarantee that they would be allowed to complete it.

Note: Trans Canada has not yet applied to build the Southern leg of the Keystone pipeline and the northern section is being blocked by “concerns” about aquifers below the construction site in Nebraska.

Democrats Cheat Randall Terry Out of Delegates

Democratic Party ignores primary vote, denies Randall Terry delegates | LifeSiteNews.com.

Randall Terry took 18% of the Democrat vote in Oklahoma, making him eligible to seat 6 delegates. Trav Robertson, executive director of the state’s democrat party, says that since the candidate is not a bonafide democrat, his delegates will be awarded to Barack Obama.

Oklahoma offered up several primary opponents to Obama this year, and together they took a majority of the popular vote. Unfortunately, as far as the state’s democrats are concerned, it doesn’t matter.

Randall Terry will be running in Alaska, Kansas and Wyoming. He hasn’t decided whether he will contest the decision to deny him delegates.

First Private Lawsuit Filed Against Contraception Mandate.

O’Brien Industrial Holdings LLC, in Missouri, is chaired by Frank O’Brien, and underneath that entity is a group of mining, exploratory and processing companies. The mission statement at the corporate website is summarized: “to make our labor a pleasing offering to the Lord while enriching families and society. O’Brien is an entrepreneur whose faith drives him to do much more than the mere ritual that Obama would permit.
Unlike Obama’s “freedom of worship” idea, the First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, which is belief that governs activities 24/7.
ACLJ’s Frank Manion, who represents O’Brien and his company, said:“The HHS contraception mandate tells people like Frank O’Brien that they have to choose between conducting their business in a manner consistent with their moral values, or conducting their business in a manner consistent with the government’s values. The constitution does not allow the government to impose such a choice.”
