Only about 10 percent of meth heads have health insurance, so when they cook themselves while trying to cook their methamphetamine, the burden of care falls upon the hospital. The average cost of care for a meth burn patient is said to be $130,000 dollars. The financial burden of non-recovered hospital expenses has closed down at least 7 burn wards in the U.S.due to insolvency.

The most common means for self immolation among meth heads is the shake and bake method. Opening the 2 liter reaction vessel too soon or having an unplanned leakage can cause an explosion. About 70 injuries related to meth cooking have been reported in Indiana in the last two years, but who knows the real number? The burn victims aren’t too eager to tell the truth about how they were burned.
David Greenhalgh of the University of California, Davis, Burn Center says that 25-35% of the patients there test positive for meth.

The sad thing is that this gaffe will be missed by a fair number of people: the sex selection abortion deniers. The U.S. and Canada both have trouble with sex selection abortions done for the polyglot of egoists and people from other cultures who wish to exert misguided control of their reproductive output.
Adaptation to the West is not immediate for those who come from places with no retirement plans whatsoever, and whose women have little to no earning capacity, or are given over to the inlaws family in marriage. Their unborn baby girls are selected against, as are those of people who simply prefer boys over girls.

On the 39th anniversary of the infamous Roe V Wade decision, Obama delivered a celebratory statement saying that Jan 23 is the chance to recognize the “fundamental constitutional right” to abortion and to “continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”

Obama’s dreams for his daughters, (and the guys who use them,) to enjoy the availability of unfettered recreational abortion, comes at the cost of 50 plus MILLION american lives lost from surgical abortions alone.

Obama’s entire presidency is a gaffe.

Sen. Rand Paul Blocked from Flight for Refusing TSA Groping.

The good senator is already an enemy of the TSA, and perhaps they were trying to show him who is boss by making him miss his flight to Washington DC.    Senator Rand Paul scheduled to speak at the big Right to Life Event in Washington DC, and vote in the Senate today, but his schedule was interrupted by the gropers in Nashville.

A scanner indicated a glitch at his knee, and  Paul lifted his trouser leg to expose the area.   But that was NOT enough.   The  TSA officials wanted to grope the rest of his parts too.   Rand Paul declined and was detained for some time.  After a subsequent scan revealed no problems,  the Senator caught a later flight to his destination.

This earned the Transportation Security Agency more bad commercials from Rand Paul’s father who is running for president.

Rand Paul himself has always opposed the over reach of the TSA, calling them  clueless for targeting six year old kids, the disabled and others who are obviously not terrorists.

NYC Police Throw Navy SEAL Into Psych Ward For Claiming… He’s a SEAL | TheBlaze.com.

This time a Virginia man who is a Navy Seal was arrested and thrown into a psych ward for claiming that he was a Navy Seal.

It’s all about the gun grabbing.  New York is wild against guns, and military personnel are not supposed to pass through New York with their armaments.

Shaun Day was stopped  for running a red light. in Manhattan.   The police found a reason to search his truck and found his 9mm semiauto pistol and three magazines of ammo.

Navy personnel visited and picked up Day from the psych ward of Bellevue Hospital.  Charges against him have been “deferred”, whatever that means.

Obama’s Willie Horton Moment?

Immigration authorities released man who went on to kill 3 in North Miami – Miami-Dade – MiamiHerald.com.

Due to a Moratorium on deportations to Haiti,  burglar Kesler Dufrene was not deported the last time  ICE took custody of him, although an immigration judge had ordered it.     He has since  been linked to Jan 2, 2011 slayings of a 15 year old girl and two other people by DNA and cellphone tracking.    Dufrene committed suicide  just before he was taken by Manatee county deputies after another break in and shooting.  Authorities and relatives of the victims wonder if others were involved in the triple slaying, and most agree that that Ashley Chow, Harlen Peralta, and Israel Rincon would still be alive had Dufrene been deported as scheduled.

If deportations are halted, ICE cannot hold  illegal immigrants in custody longer than six months, due to a pair of Supreme Court rulings on the issue.  Obama had halted deportations to Haiti after the January 2010 earthquake.  The result of that decision could be the topic of  anti-Obama ads, after the style of the Willie Horton ads that plagued  candidate Michael  Dukakis so long ago.

America’s Ongoing Tort Litigation Nightmare – Forbes.

Kathleen Sebelius has more  wrong with her than pro-abortion extremism. (She’s the one who has  protected Planned Parenthood in Kansas  from the legal consequences of failing to report sexual abuse of minors.)

Obama directed  Sebelius, who headed a trial lawyers association for 8 years, to move forward on health care tort reform.  As anyone would expect, her progress is zero, because she can’t stop feeding her own.

Linked above is the tale of a 65 million dollar  court decision against an exercise equipment company.  The award goes to a physical therapist who was paralyzed when a Cybex  leg EXTENSION  machine fell on her.  She had been using the machine incorrectly, standing beside it and pulling it backwards to STRETCH.  So far, the company has been appealing and the last decision cut the award to 44 million.

With court decisions like this….. bookshelf makers should also stop production.  Those things can be pulled down on top of people also.

Forbes contributor, Matt  Kibbe estimates that tort litigation costs each American individual  $838 per year,  and suggests that such legal maneuvering makes up 27% of health care costs.   That might be worth Kathleen Sebelius’s attention.

From the statement above, you think the U.S. Catholic Bishops have a plan for dealing with their most favored President Obama?

There’s a debate over at JillStanek.com to see if people think the Bishops will stand up to Obama, or will they begin covering the pill, or will the religiously affiliated institutions  pay the Dhimmi tax in order to be allowed not to cover the birth control pill.

The Dhimmi tax is the amount of money that religiously run hospitals would have to pay for each employee, in order to stop health care coverage for them.  This tax will start out at two thousand dollars per individual, and increase from there.

In many Muslim governed  countries,  people of other religions have to pay additional taxes in order to be permitted to live in the country and practice their own religion.     This is a perfectly good word to apply to the new relationship of pro-life religions to the dominant statist religion, which is coercing religiously run institutions to contribute to the  state program of reproductive control.

I am wondering what will happen when the Muslim physicians, pharmacists and nurses  decide that they have a problem with the coercive policies of the Obama administration,  as have the Muslim health caregivers in Europe.
The reason that Europe is allowing some religious dissent to the abortion culture, is not because of the Christians.  They already gave in.   It’s mostly the Muslims who rolled the abortion coercion back a bit, by refusing to cooperate.  The governments have sufficient fear of the Muslims that they’re afraid to deny them  the freedom to not abort.
Sorry to say, there is a significant social drawback to turning the other cheek.
So far, it appears that the Bishops will eventually   do what they did in Canada…  let the government have its way, with minimal resistance.  Pharmer would like for this prediction to be wrong.

 

Cost Containment Includes Forced Abortion and Sterilization

The Romney-care system in Massachusetts almost accomplished forced abortion  and sterilization procedures in a mentally ill female, but the initial court order has been thrown out by a higher appeals court .

The Norfolk Family and Probate Court Judge Christina Harms had ordered that these procedures could be forced upon a woman with psychotic disorders, through the use of deception and sedation.

Somehow this woman had access to legal recourse, bringing her case to an appeals court.  One wonders how many forced abortions and sterilizations have been accomplished under the Romneycare system.
