Rob Portman: Plastic Elastic Ethics

Suddenly something which is wrong becomes right if you think it might make your kid happy.

Rob Portman has reversed himself on the issue of gay marriage because his son has come out as gay.  This had been in the background as a possible reason that Mitt Romney did not choose Portman as vice presidential candidate.

More likely, Romney felt that he had no prayer unless he threw a bone to the Tea Partiers by choosing a more conservative person to run with him.

Rob Portman’s reversal has more to do with the politician’s instinct to appease, compromise and get along.   Certainly it will not do his son any good.    Kids don’t really need their parents to shift and change with whatever new lifestyle the kids choose to take on.  The kids would benefit more from knowing that parents have firm and strong moral beliefs that don’t change with the latest behavioral eruption, and that the love from their parents is constant, despite the disagreements.    Love and agreement are not the same thing.

Portman reveals himself to be just another person who doesn’t know that marriage is a social structure for the purpose of protecting  children.  We could perhaps help him by reminding him of how babies are made, in case he forgot.  Or we could  point him to Homovox,  or to David Mainwaring so that he could understand governmental manipulation, and social problems that accompany the push for gay marriage.

Feds Studying Obesity Among Lesbians.

The Federal government promises to make the sequestration as painful as possible, but it has spent $1.5 million, so far,  for a very special study.

It is of burning urgency to discover why there is more obesity among lesbians than among heterosexual women.  It seems that 75% of lesbians are overweight, compared to %50 of heterosexual women.  Brigham and Women’s Hospital will receive about $778,000 per year through 2016 to solve this mystery.

Pharmer suggests that governance of this study might fall within the purview of Michelle Obama’s anti-obesity campaign.

Some Prominent Republicans are Outing Themselves on Gay Marriage

Obama’s death panel has relegated the Republican party to palliative care, and here’s one more reason why we should not attempt to intervene in the decision.

Eighty, so-called prominent republicans have signed an opinion that there is a constitutional right to gay marriage.  They have OUTED their complete ignorance of the Constitution.  Going over the names, few should be seen as a surprise.  If you care to check the list, click HERE.

People need to get over the idea that any marriage at all is a constitutional right.  The U.S. constitution is silent on the issue of marriage and leaves it up to the people to decide how it is to be recognized socially.

Human rights are possessed by an individual, and they end where another begins.  All marriages are done with permission, coming from each partner.

There is also no human right to sex, for the same reason, as it impinges upon another person, and therefore requires permission.

Marriage ought to be handled by the religious organizations.  It originated with these groups as protection for the rearing of progeny.  The social recognition of marriage has served the purpose of stabilizing the environment for children to reach adulthood safely.

So many people have lost sight of the original reasons for local government impingement upon marriage, and are now using it as the vehicle for granting government mandated benefits.   Initially this applied to couples with children, but it has vastly expanded with the bloating of government.     In the military it has recently been decreed that unmarried  same sex partners of military personnel are eligible for certain benefits, but opposite sex partners are not, (even though the military chaplains may officiate same sex marriages).

Pharmer proposes that the government remove itself from the marriage business entirely.  Its various and self contradictory interventions have left a complete mess, which has nothing to do with the protection of children, or with committed relationships between people.

Let the churches handle marriage for those who respect it as a sacrament before God, and a commitment between each other, and to protect  resultant children.     Let the rest of the people who want to play house, draw up their own legal contracts and sign them with their lawyers present.

ColoradoRep. Joe Salazar: Rape Defense for Women

Call boxes, “safe zones”, whistles are the Joe Salazar (Democrat Colorado State Rep) plan for women’s self defense against rape.
You don’t know if you’re about to be raped……
That stalker might not be wanting to harm you. You have no way of knowing. Women should not have guns for self defense.
Women are not to be credited with the ability to identify an imminent attack, says this representative of the women’s rights party.

Under consideration is a Colorado Bill, 13-1226, to further target educational institutions for crazy shooters, by prohibiting concealed carry on Colorado college campuses. Existing Colorado law allows concealed carry for people over 21 years of age, after training classes.

Barack and Michelle, Split Vacations

Michelle will be taking her girls skiing in Colorado, and Obama will be vacationing with the boys in Florida.   Double your tax dollars, at work for this couple, who do not prefer each other’s company when recreating.

Separate Vacations for Barack and Michelle Obama | The Weekly Standard.

Update:

not out of the closet just yet

The white house press is sooooooooooooooooooooo frustrated!  It is not all rainbows and unicorns, and there is no transparency this weekend because Obama does not want to share while he is Down in Florida.

Gay marriage support ‘more likely from straight men who watch porn’

From The Telegraph of the UK, comes a story from the old humping  …errr.. stomping grounds  of A.C. Kinsey, the legendary pervert of the Midwest.   Yes……. a study from Indiana University has concluded that:

Gay marriage support ‘more likely from straight men who watch porn’ – Telegraph.

Heterosexual men who watched the most porn were more “open” to the idea of same sex marriage, according to Assistant Professor Paul Wright.

He opines that porn ‘adopts a’ singular….. whoops….. ‘INDIVIDUALISTIC, non-judgmental view’ on all sorts of sexual behavior.   Exposure to this  is said to be linked to a more positive view of same sex marriage.

Per the Telegraph, people of the UK have seen sufficient porn that they are quite (over) ripe for gay marriage.

It seems to Pharmer, that after viewing a lot of porn, the users could just marry themselves, and save themselves the trouble of maintaining a long term relationship with another person.   😛

Amateur Oddsmakers Shift Bets to the Ravens

Niners CB says openly gay players would not be welcomed on the team – Yahoo! Sports.

Big political incorrectness  from Chris Culliver of the San Francisco 49ers, who suggests that openly gay football players would not have a welcoming reception in the locker room, may have an effect on the Superbowl outcome.

People  are moving their bets to the Ravens, thinking that morale of  the 49ers will be crushed under the weight of bad press.

In an attempt to forestall the flood of media castigation, an apology from Culliver has been issued.   The 49ers assure fans that they proudly support the LGBT community.

More Housework, Less Sex for Men

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions”, whines the AFP  report on a study comparing men who do more “traditionally female”  chores around the house, compared to men who do not.

More housework, less sex for married men: study – FRANCE 24.

Carefully left out of this report are the confounding factors which drive guys to do housework, the most significant of which would be

1) chronic  illness of the wife,

2) longer work hours for the wife,

3) income and privacy impediments which would often attend households with a female primary breadwinner,

4) marriage to a feminazi!  😉

This study is just another one among millions which raise an  association vs causation question.

On the Relationship of Gay Marriage and Human Trafficking

Your friendly Pharmer spotted a link  at Jill Stanek’s blog which needs to be passed on.  Robert Oscar Lopez, himself the son of a lesbian mother, reveals a transformation in the gay community which has aligned it with the industries of human trafficking and creation of designer babies.  Kids have become commodities, and anyone who objects, including the children themselves, will be  publicly scourged for homophobia.

Lopez states that the fight for gay marriage was  to provide legal cover “from criticism for their bioethical stunts”.
