State Gets $5 Mil Bonus For Food Stamp Sign Up | Judicial Watch.
Oregon is sooooo efficient at recruiting food stamp recipients that they have merited a 5 million dollar bonus for good performance from the USDA. The government has been awarding the state for five years in a row for gettimg more people on it’s welfare rolls. There’s also a two year grant from the Obama administration which rewards Oregon for granting food stamps without interviewing the prospective recipient.

Solyndra is the Green energy company which went bankrupt very shortly after receiving $535 million dollars in federal grants.
The CEO and other top officers plan to utilize 5th amendment rights when called up for the Friday Congressional hearings.
Obviously there is quite a bit to hide….. such as the method for losing a half billion dollars in government funds.
The FBI has raided the homes of company officers, and very surprisingly the mainstream media is carrying the death story of this company which was highlighted by Obama as part of his green energy programs.
Some have concluded that with the media no longer performing stenography for the White House, Obama might decline to run for a second term.
Obama’s Snitch Site
See something, Tell Obama! Click HERE to do it.
The Obama administration is a heavy email spam source, as his media noted after the latest Jobs speech last Thursday. If you don’t want that in your main email box, get a nice, free web address with whatever name you want to attach to it. For fun, you could try Davie Axelwod, or Ram Emmanuel, to lampoon some old friends you once knew.
Then… very politely, send links showing stories and video of Union misbehavior, trashing of the landscape after leftie gatherings, uncivil behavior from the left wingers, TSA gropings, etc.
Let them see themselves as others see them.
New: 9-15-11 The Snitch Site has become a laughingstock all over the web

TSA Creator Says Dismantle, Privatize the Agency – HUMAN EVENTS.
John Mica, Florida Republican is embarrassed by the TSA created in one of his bills. He’s chairman of the House Transportation Committee, and says that TSA should be scrapped and privatized.
The Transportation Security Administration has grown into a 9 billion dollar disaster, with rampant mismanagement of funds and resources, as well as questionable workforce which has become known for thievery and abuse.
Here’s Mica’s short list of the countries which run airport security using similar models as the U.S.: Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, and maybe Libya. That tells you something, doesn’t it?
Feds to Gibson Guitar 2009: Outsource Work To Madagascar
The information in italics comes from an INTERVIEW with Henry Juskiewicz:
In 2009, subsequent to the first Federal raid, Gibson sued to have the wood which was confiscated returned to them.
The feds, in a pleading, stated that if Gibson outsourced the finishing of their fingerboard wood to Madagascar, their troubles would go away.
The Feds have never filed charges, but will not return the confiscated wood, now totalling a million dollars. They have also requested a stay (delay) of the proceedings in the lawsuit filed by Gibson.
Total costs of two raids are approaching three million dollars.
The Feds also said in their pleadings that they don’t recognized Madagascar, but their interpretation of the law states that Gibson should not have the unfinished wood.
Madagascar has sent statements that Gibson is not violating their laws.
The case regarding the wood from India (the second raid) is similar.
Gibson has been compliant with stewardship of rare wood in the past, and considers itself a leader in this area.
There are still no charges against Gibson guitar in connection with these raids, and the Federal government is holding the fingerboard wood (likely not in correct storage). It is affecting the price of your guitars if you buy from that company.
There will be 2000 American jobs lost if the Feds succeed in killing Gibson Guitars
WSJ has more dispassionate coverage HERE, and that article recognizes the difficulty and inflated cost of doing business in other countries, with the U.S. trying to interpret their laws and their own enforcement policies.
Gibson is using the twitter hashtag #thiswillnotstand, and its facebook page to bring news of their troubles to us. Here’s their statement about the raids on their own website.

» Man Faces Life In Jail For Recording Police Alex Jones’ Infowars.
Michael Allison, 42 year old mechanic, recorded a police visit to his mother’s home regarding old vehicles, which police claimed were not properly registered. Those cars were confiscated, and he is suing to have them returned. For the act of recording, he now faces up to 75 years in jail for five counts of eavesdropping on himself and the cops.
Allison has been offered a plea bargain, (probation for a lower class felony with no jail time) but refused in order to go through the trial. His hope is to challenge the state’s interpretation of an old eavesdropping law, and overturn it.

Indiana Vouchers Boost Enrollment in Catholic Schools
Ind. vouchers prompt thousands to change schools.
Maybe it’s good that some kids can use Indiana State Vouchers to attend the private school of their choice.
Maybe it’s good that most of those vouchers are being utilized for Catholic School attendance.
Why does Pharmer say MAYBE??
Because the government always tries to control the institutions for which it supplies funding. So what does Indiana have in store for (additional) control of Catholic schools?? Time will tell.
Kill Devil Hills: Aftermath of Irene
Pharmer sent a link to the Kill Devil Hills weather data, which was posted here yesterday, to the Drudge Report. Coincidentally, the Drudge crew elected to link up an Irene aftermath story from…. yes, Kill Devil Hills, saying that less than expected damage had occurred. Tropical storms are known to be VERY WET. Consistent with that fact, the main damage from Irene is from too much rain.
The media, with red faces, are still trying to tell us that Irene was a hurricane when it made landfall, but as we can see from the rest of the wind graph at Kill Devil Hills……. it really was a Tropical Storm. Even the wind GUSTS did not register at 50 mph, and sustained winds were well below that.
Obama might be kicking himself for ending the vacation early in order to “take command” of the disaster from the non-hurricane. Perhaps he can breathe a ginormous gust of hot air to dry the wetness left by Irene on the portion of the country to which he feels more attachment. (Those of us in flyover country have experienced his conspicuous detachment from our disasters.)
This video shows the desperate attempt at ABC News to make Obama seem relevant and connected to the management of response to Tropical Storm Irene. Note the pre-Irene footage from Kill Devil Hills.
Government Raids on Gibson Guitars
Gibson Guitar company has been raided for the second time over their supposed use of rare (endangered ) wood in making musical instruments.
Gibson is suing the government (Forestry and Wildlife agency) over a half million dollars in materials seized in 2009. This second raid occurred just before the lawsuit trial date.
Indian authorities have certified the exportation of rosewood and ebony finger boards to be sent to Gibson guitars. The U.S. government interprets Indian law differently to state that somehow the fingerboards are not legally obtained by Gibson.
Note…… it’s not just Gibson guitars which utilizes these fingerboards from India. It’s obvious to any guitarist who has shopped for various instruments. Gibson is singled out among the many musical instrument manufacturers for abuse.
Here’s WSJ coverage of Gibson’s woes and the fears that any musicians have over bringing instruments through customs.
