Paul Krugman Acknowledges the Truth of DEATH PANELS

Remember when the lefties screamed about Palin’s use of the word Death panels, to describe the government choosing who and who would not get medical treatment?

Well,  they forgot about that, and here you see the esteemed New York Times operative, Paul Krugman acknowledging Sarah Palin’s pinpoint accuracy.

KRUGMAN:  They should have said, “Okay, look, Medicare is going to have to decide what it’s going to pay for. And at least for starters, it’s going to have to decide which medical procedures are not effective at all and should not be paid for at all.” In other words, it should have endorsed the panel that was part of the health care reform.  If the commission isn’t even brave enough to take on the death panels people, then it’s doing no good at all. ……………..

No. Some years down the pike we’re gonna get the real solution, which is gonna be a combination of death panels and sales taxes.  It’s going to be that we’re actually gonna take Medicare under control and we’re gonna have to get some additional revenue, probably from a VAT.

European Council Reaffirms Conscience Rights of Health Professionals

This ground breaking incident is considered a turnaround from previous trends. The Council of Europe  reversed course,  gutting the intent of a resolution called the McCafferty report,  a resolution which favored  stripping the human  rights of professionals who wished not to participate in abortions, and other unethical medical  practices.

Twenty nine amendments were added to the resolution, which effectively reverse its original intent, so that the writer of the original report, Christian McCafferty,  wound up voting against it.

Gregor Puppinck, of the European Center for Law and Justice, has stated that this vastly changed resolution will have significant impact on European case law in their council on human rights.

As the legal and governmental processes of Europe are too labyrinthine for the mind of this non-specialist,  it is recommended that you read further to see what the total  impact of this resolution will be.   Euro-lefties suggest that it will not affect the general mores of Europe, where the native populations are much more accepting of  “medical” killing practices.

Pharmer is certain  that the rising population of  Muslims has added fuel to this turnaround, as they have been prominently featured in the medical conscience issues of the UK.   Digging a bit deeper  will convince the reader of this blogger’s chronic Rightness.

Alliance with the Muslims will likely  result in LEFTIES  losing their sacrament of abortion.

Obama Recants Another Fantastic Lie – Kids’ Health Insurance

You were promised that kids with pre-existing conditions could be insured for cheap or free by Obamacare, and insurance companies were to be forced to provide this.

Then the reality got in the way. People would wait to buy insurance until the kid was already sick, and insurance companies were told they’d have to cover it at the same rate.

Then the Insurance companies, knowing they’d curl up and DIE under this regulation, stopped offering new insurance plans for sick kids.

NOW OBAMA HAS RESCINDED his policy. Insurance companies will be permitted to raise the rates of these policies for pre-existing conditions on child only policies outside the open enrollment period.

Does all this sound like gibberish? Obamacare has begun to collapse even before it has started.

The Bamster Blinks on Health Care Insurers

McDonald’s, 29 other firms get health care coverage waivers – USATODAY.com.

Thirty firms, including McDonalds, get a waiver of the spending  requirements of Obamacare for the next year.   These firms convinced Obama that he needs to hide until after the election,  the fact that his health care plan will kill private insurers, leaving people completely uninsured until the government plan of rationing comes online.

So……… one more year until the employees of these companies are dumped  (unless the November election results in RESCUE).

Woman Eaten Alive by Maggots

Here’s a gross media contribution from just across the state line, about a Cincinnati woman’s untimely death. Apparently Jorene White, a sufferer from severe arthritis, was found in bed, with maggots eating the dead flesh of her bedsores, after a call to the police from her husband Darrell White.

Mr. White is in prison, accused of causing her death by neglect. Upon his arrest, he stated that his wife refused medical help, they did not have money for that help, and that he cared for her the best he could.

The woman in some audible reports was said to have been bedridden for 15 years.

There are a number of problems in this story of neglect. Two adults other than Mr. White and his wife are said to have shared that abode. He is the only one charged. While it is certain that Jorene White’s care was inadequate, it is not at all certain that any malice or intention to cause harm was involved. Obviously Mr. White was not well equipped for the exhausting, 24/7  job, and this condition applies to the majority of people.

The news story details no background leading up to this sad state of affairs.

The news story (styled for shock value) fails to acknowledge that many people, of little means, die from neglect due to lack of awareness that medical care is available for them. The media lie that 49 million Americans have no access to care has deeply sunken roots, and has caused many not to seek the existing medical help. We look forward now to the looming, rationed obama-care which that media lie was designed to bring about.

Maggots abound in the summer and are happy to offer free debridement services, removing necrotic tissue from any open sore which is not visible and regularly cleaned by professionals or other caregivers. Jorene White is among multitudes who have been found in this condition, in the U.S..

A note on the correct way to obtain medical maggot therapy, so as to avoid the extra media flagellation suffered by Mr. White:

Sweden Care!

Two days after a C section, the third time mom decided it was time to go home.

She was assigned the job of cleaning her room before leaving.  During her stay, her husband was assigned the job of caring for her, and the patient reported having to call reminders for all of her meds.

This is attributed to a labor shortage.  Most amusing are comments appended to the article from the natives who attribute this to a “conservative government” which is cutting back on spending.

Some fun facts from Cuba…. the hospital patients supply their own syringes, bedsheets,  and towels in order to stave off nosocomial   infection.   Sterile equipment and disinfectants are in short supply in Cuba’s hospitals.

Cervical cancer is the fourth leading cause of death among Cuban woman, and it is largely preventable, but Pap smears are no longer routine for fear of the unhygenic exam practices.

Maternal death, blamed on medical neglect post partum is also on the rise under Castrocare.

Least surprise of all,  doctor defections are rampant, with many returning from (training) abroad only to leave health care for jobs which will bring them convertible currency.    The Castro answer is to reduce placements in other countries.

The above linked representation is partial, because the whole mess could not be expressed on a single chart, and this is said to represent about a third of it.

Some of what is featured in the Obamacare chart , (quoted from the presentation on Rep. Brady’s site) :

  • $569 billion in higher taxes;
  • $529 billion in cuts to Medicare;
  • swelling of the ranks of Medicaid by 16 million;
  • 17 major insurance mandates; and
  • the creation of two new bureaucracies with powers to impose future rationing: the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute and the Independent Payments Advisory Board.

Some of the control of the UK health system will be moved to the primary care physicians, who will apparently answer to “independent” regulators outside of the central government.

This is one more in a long line of restructurings designed to fix the problems of government run health care and its inherent inefficiencies.

What really needs to happen is more decentralization of the FUNDING and real privatization.

The UK is desperate for cost controls, and the new plan purports to put thousands of health care adminstrators out of jobs.
