Dr Terry Lakin Rejected by Kansas Medical Board

The doctor will/won't see you now – KCTV 5.

It’s a random act of journalism! Click above for a video worth watching. KCTV5 skewers the Kansas Medical Board for denying former Army Lt. Colonel Terrence Lakin a license to practice in that state. Lakin has a very clean medical record after 18 years practice around the world with the military. He’s the conscientious objector who laid down his career, was court martialed and jailed for questioning the validity of Obama as commander in chief. Colorado and Maryland do not find this a problem with respect to Dr. Lakin’s medical licensure, but Kansas does.

The medical board questioned Lakin not on his medical credentials, but this birther issue, and rejected him on that basis.
Lakin will not be able to practice with his brother in Wichita Kansas (where the infamous George Tiller killed late term unborn babies). However a neurologist who did brain surgery on the wrong patient, inflicting permanent damage has been accepted, according to KCTV5.

*153* Bishops (Over 80% of Dioceses) Have Spoken Out Against Obama/HHS Mandate | CatholicVote.org

Updated: *153* Bishops (Over 80% of Dioceses) Have Spoken Out Against Obama/HHS Mandate | CatholicVote.org.

At the above link a list is being compiled of Bishops statements protesting Obama’s health care mandate  for religiously affiliated employers to cover birth control, abortifacients and sterilizations.

The bolded links on the list lead to letters which were to be read at every parish in the diocese.   As of Sunday there are 153 out of  183 diocesan leaders who have made statements.

The Assembly of Orthodox Bishops has also made a statement representing all 53 of their U.S. Bishops, which protests the action of Obama and his HHS.

Expect more statements to be coming out as some of the Bishops get a reminder of their job function from the Vatican.

As a result of prior decisions to go  along with the Government and accept grants from them,  the Bishops now find themselves, and the society in which they live, in dire straits.  Says Francis Cardinal George, Archbishop of Chicago:   “I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison and his successor will die a martyr in the public square.”

2/8/12 UPDATE    169 Dioceses have  submitted letters of protest

Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 2012

bill_senate_healthcare_religious_exemption_013112.pdf (application/pdf Object).

Senator Marco  Rubio  (R) FL  has introduced a bill to  reverse the Obamacare mandate that religious health care and other institutions be forced to cover contraception, abortifacient drugs and sterilizations.    Above is a link to the text.

This bill unfortunately does not address the health care professionals themselves, who will have to leave their jobs in order to avoid participating in similar obamacare mandates.

It’s a good start, though.

Inside story on Komen split from Planned Parenthood – Jill Stanek

Inside story on Komen split from Planned Parenthood – Jill Stanek.

Click above for a bit of inside scoop on the “divorce” of Susan G Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood. Jill Stanek predicts that Komen is totally finished with funding  planned parenthood, and one reason is that the latter organization took their “divorce” to the press, as a means of punishment.

Pharmer would be more enthusiastic about Komen foundation if it were really interested in addressing all the means to prevent and cure breast cancer. It seems to have become one of those bloated “non-profit” behemoths which burn a good portion of the funds which could have gone directly towards productive research and interventions.

Some charitable organizations begin a program of self perpetuation, to bring about job security for the employees.

The decision by Komen foundation to ditch planned parenthood likely had more to do with decreasing controversy,  increasing income, and less to do with ethical reasoning.

The Komen statement that it does not fund  embryonic stem cell research is likely fueled by public awareness  that such efforts have  produced no positive medical results. Geron, the former industry leader is also bailing out, and moving more resources to adult stem cell work. The statement put forth by Komen claims that it never funded embryonic stem cell research, though it has had prior association with institutions which were carrying out such research.

Click for Komen financial statements.

More on planned parenthood punishing Komen for defunding them.  PP is using this event as a fundraiser and as a threat to other corporations which stop giving. Imagine what will happen if the girl scouts bail on them!  Moral of the story, don’t get started with planned parenthood.

Next they’ll be grabbing organs from political dissidents.

Bioethicists pretty much exist to justify killing, and other immoral medical and research practices.

Click above to see new excuses to  grab organs from donors before they have been declared dead.   It’s terribly inconvenient, and might harm organ quality to wait until the donor is actually deceased before snagging the needed body parts.

In some of the written justifications for this killing is the comparison of people who have lost their abilities with weeds in a garden.

Ready for Obamacare?

The only comfort is that there won’t be as much money to pay for organ transplants and the ensuing maintenance costs.

A quote from Walter Sinnett-Armstrong and Franklin Miller:

[I]f killing were wrong just because it is causing death or the loss of life, then the same principle would apply with the same strength to pulling weeds out of a garden. If it is not immoral to weed a garden, then life as such cannot really be sacred, and killing as such cannot be morally wrong.”

Read up…….. yes it’s true, the introduction of the new Epic systems for electronic record keeping in hospitals costs a lot, and it is associated with layoffs. Managers are in a tizzy about cost efficiency. There is effort to eliminate duplicate services and personnel.

The article linked above notes the relationship of Epics Judith Faulkner and donations to the Democrat Party, and her job on the Health Information Technology Policy Committee as Obama’s Medical Records Czar. Hmmmmmmmmm

Ralph Shortey Introduces Oklahoma Bill Outlawing Use of Aborted Fetuses in Food Industry | TheBlaze.com

Ralph Shortey Introduces Oklahoma Bill Outlawing Use of Aborted Fetuses in Food Industry | TheBlaze.com.

Over at the Blaze this Oklahoma legislation  to forbid the use of  fetal tissue seems strange, but Pharmer is glad that they decided to call attention to it.

This Oklahoma bill is addressing an existing problem, and is worthy of attention. Perhaps Oklahoma citizens who are cognizant of the embryonic stem cell and fetal cell  derived technologies can assist with the language of the bill and regulations stemming from it.

http://cogforlife.org/fetalproductsall.pdf Cogforlife.org has been tracking the production of medicinal, vaccine and food products cultured, produced or tested using embryonic stem cell derived technology. The group monitors which cell lines are utilized, and the origins of those cell lines.

http://www.neostem.com/ Neostem is an adult stem cell research corporation which is committed to obtaining the benefits of adult and umbilical cord stem cell usage while avoiding the ethical liability of using tissue from purposely killed humans.

Pharmer fired off  a letter to Senator Shortey, in the hopes that he might re-craft the bill to include human embryos in the language.   It

Bogus Research – comparing abortion and child birth related maternal deaths

Abortion safer than giving birth: study | Reuters.

Reuters is telling us of a study, conducted by two abortion apologists,  that claims that abortion is much safer than giving birth.

The difficulty with the study is that it relies upon the reporting of complications associated with abortions, something which is not usually done, because it is in most cases, entirely voluntary.

It’s not a stigma or a problem to report deaths associated with childbirth, (whether or not the condition of pregnancy caused the death.

It is a huge stigma to report complications associated with abortion, and also a stigma for patients to report that the raging infection that sent them to the ICU has followed  an abortion procedure  rather than a miscarriage.

Hospitals are completing abortion procedures on a regular basis, and the reporting of this is very spotty. Once we realized that even the abortion related deaths listed in the newspapers were not being tallied by the CDC, pro-lifers knew that no studies comparing deaths from pregnancy vs deaths from abortion would be worth the paper they’re written on.

Pharmer has concluded from personal experience in health care, as well as  information on the reporting of abortion complications to the CDC, that there is no good data for comparing the safety of child birth vs abortion for the woman.  We do know that abortion is highly lethal to the unborn baby, though there are a number of well known survivors.

After reading some of the articles below,  most will no longer find CDC abortion mortality data to be reliable or useful.

The Tale of CDC missing a nationally syndicated abortion death discussed at an conference in front of two CDC staffers tells you how crazy the stats can be.

The Under-reporting of abortion complications in Illinois.

How is the data of abortion complications collected?

Abortion records cannot be tallied from death certificates. A single U.S. private investigator tallied 30 percent more abortion related deaths than the entire CDC.

Abortion and mortality rates WIKI… the CDC has stopped counting the ectopic pregnancies missed by abortion providers, a frequent life threatening problem as the women assume, after abortion, that they could not possibly be pregnant.

More on meaningless abortion mortality statistics.

Here are  the ACOG standards for reporting pregnancy associated and pregnancy related deaths:

Pregnancy-associated death. The death of a woman while pregnant or within 1 year of termination of pregnancy, irrespective of cause.
Pregnancy-related death. The death of a woman while pregnant or within 1 year of termination of pregnancy, irrespective of the duration and site of the pregnancy, from any cause related to or aggravated by her pregnancy or its management, but not from accidental or incidental causes.

In your most fevered imaginings, do you think that there is complete reporting of abortion related deaths using these standards?

Indiana State Legislation Aims to Protect Conscientious Heath Care Workers

Introduced Version, House Bill 1228.

Click above to read House Bill 1228 in its entirety. This constitutes an effort to protect the health care workers who wish not to participate in abortion.

All citizens should be interested in this bill because it also protects the CHOICE of a woman to not get an abortion.

Once Obama-care sets in, there will be considerable coercive forces for a woman to abort in the case of untoward fetal diagnosis and various other economic reasons.

Freedom of choice for health care professionals is a line of protection for the freedom of choice by patients.

Even people who wish for abortion to be available, but not COERCED should be supporting the right of health care professionals to opt out.
