Sex-crime victim faces jail and fines for tweeting her attackers’ names

Savannah Dietrich felt that the group of guys who molested her when she was passed out at a party got off too easy.   Judge  Dee McDonald,who made the decision,  in juvenile court,  placed a broad gag order that barred Dietrich from speaking about  what happened to her at the party. The case involves two males under the age of 18, who assaulted Dietrich while she was passed out, and shared pictures of the event with others.

In her frustration over the light sentence for her attackers, Dietrich revealed their names on Twitter.

From the Louisville Journal Courier:

“They said I can’t talk about it or I’ll be locked up,” Dietrich tweeted. “So I’m waiting for them to read this and lock me up. ____ justice.

“Protect rapist is more important than getting justice for the victim in Louisville.”

Dietrich might now face  fines and up to six months in jail, for contempt of court.   While a decision is being made in her case, the lawyers of the perpetrators, , Chris Klein and David Mejia,  have asked for a continuance of the existing gag order.

Completely gagging the victim from speaking about what had happened to her confers more  psychological  punishment upon her than to the perpetrators, who will  likely be serving time in juvenile detention.

Suggestions by supposed experts were that the victim should spend her own money and resources to fight the decision of the judge, so that she can be  allowed  to speak to  clergy, counselors or others who could render assistance for her probable substance abuse problem, and the accompanying damage from sexual abuse.

Perhaps some feel that a girl who passes out at a party is fair game to all the guys who are incapable of normal sexual relationships. While Dietrich was wrong to place herself in a compromising position,  she does not deserve a jail sentence for speaking about the aftermath.

Perhaps if the sexual offenses had been  taken seriously,  the court would not be considered ‘contemptible’ by the Savannah Dietrich and the general public.

A sixty six year old gay rights pioneer, Larry Brinkin, was arrested on Friday, and his computers and software were seized by cops. It seems that his AOL email account had received, and shown return commentary on kiddie porn. It also showed emails sent from Brinkin’s formerly held city email account.

Kiddie Porn Is Now Legal in New York.

It’s a technicality which makes viewing all the kiddie porn OK in New York State.  A pervert can be at it 24/7, and it’s no problem as long as he/she/it remembers not to willfully download it.

Of course the stuff you see through your browser is cached in temp files, so it really is downloaded on your drive til you flush them out.

With respect to other acts, the courts wish to pass judgment based upon criminal INTENT.  Killing another human is graded this way in the legal system.  There is also the concept of hate crime,  in which the penalty can become more severe based upon external  guesses about how the perpetrator feels about the victim of the crime.

Oddly  Judge Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick reverses the trend of judicial mind reading.  This kiddie porn decision  protects those who accidentally make a wrong click when surfing the net from legal penalties, but it also protects the  perverts who habitually support  the criminal abuse of children.

“Real men don’t hire Hookers.” That’s what Lt. Colonel Ralph Peters is quoted as saying on the O’Reilly Factor, and Mediaite’s Frances Martel thinks that is a controversial statement.

The topic under discussion was the secret service Prostitution scandal in Columbia. Pharmer has not spending much time on that, because it distracts from Obama’s larger projects of destruction.

The left has always been the party of slavery and it continues to this day. The vast majority of the world’s prostitutes are operating under conditions of slavery.

Sometimes lefties like to mask it by railing against suboptimal employment, e.g. “sweat shops”, which for many women of the third world, are the first available alternative to prostitution. Some women don’t want the sex abuse, diseases, and botched abortions. Some parents don’t want that for their daughters. Sometimes the alternatives to starvation are quite limited. But the left doesn’t like choice.

Real men don’t use slaves.

Is This Enough to Cause You to Boycott HBO?

Angry Boys “Comedy” on HBO is  sexualizing children in a particularly disgusting way, and will likely get a pass from the left  because the kids being abused are Asian.   This falls under their category of acceptable stereotyping.

Are Church Confessions Safe? Court To Hear Arguments « CBS Detroit.

A Michigan State court of appeals will hear a case involving the confidentiality of confession from an accused pedophile to the pastor.

The problem here is that the pastor, Rev. John Vaprezan of the Metro Baptist Church was already ordered to  testify about the confession, which was attended by the mother of the accused.    This confession differs from usual circumstances in that the pastor is said to have initiated the exchange, which was attended by the accused, Samuel Bragg,  and his mother.    The latter two deny that the confession took place.

Initially the testimony concerning the confession was thrown out by Circuit Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway, who cited Michigan law concerning confidentiality of confessions to religious clergymen.

At argument in this case is whether this was really a confession because it was not done in confidence, and not initiated by the “penitent” individual.  At the bottom are Michigan laws which pertain to the issue, and are so broadly written that the apparent exchange between Bragg and Vaprezan are covered.

People who do not respect the function of religion will not understand why confessions are held as confidential.  They might benefit from comparing this to what they say to their physician or their psychiatrist.

  • “MCL 600.2156: No minister of the gospel, or priest of any denomination whatsoever, or duly accredited Christian Science practitioner, shall be allowed to disclose any confessions made to him in his professional character, in the course of discipline enjoined by the rules or practice of such denomination.”
  • “MCL 767.5a(2): Any communications between attorneys and their clients, between members of the clergy and the members of their respective churches, and between physicians and their patients are hereby declared to be privileged and confidential when those communications were necessary to enable the attorneys, members of the clergy, or physicians to serve as such attorney, member of the clergy, or physician.”

 

School Teacher Arrested for Bondage Abuse of Grade School Kids

School Teacher Mike Berndt Arrested in Torrance California on 23 Counts of Child Molestation | Video | TheBlaze.com.

Mark Berndt taught for years at Los Angeles, Miramonte Elementary school which served mainly children of immigrants. The 61 year old teacher has grossed out authorities to the extent that his bail is set at 2.3 million dollars.
The Jail-ward turn was initiated after an alert film processor donated Berndts pics to the cops, showing blindfolded grade schoolers with taped mouths and cockroaches on their faces.
Other pictures showed girls with spoonfuls of “clear white” liquid held up to their mouths as though they were going to eat it. Allegations are that the girls were offered this or the same special sauce on a cookie, and that they did not like the taste. Yes, the sauce tested positive for what you’re thinking is in it.
The kids did not understand what was being done to them, so none of them reported it, according to Lt. Carlos Marquez of Sheriffs dept.
The 40 pics turned in by the film processor a year ago were enough to get the perverted teacher fired, but it took a year of investigation before he was finally arrested. Thus far, not all of the dozens of victims shown in the photos have been located.

Update on 2/2:  YOU BETCHA,  Mark Berndt  gets to keep his pension (which is not in contest) but he also retains  his health benefits, because his firing has been held up in legal processes.   The initial move to boot  him has been contested by experienced teachers union legal representatives, Trygstad, Schwab & Trygstad,  privately hired by Berndt.
