New Hampshire Man Arrested For Firing Gun Into Ground While Catching Suspected Burglar | Fox News.
Why would there be open season for burglars in Farmingham, New Hampshire? Because it’s legally very risky for citizens to do anything about it.
Dennis Fleming caught a burglar who had invaded his house, as the man climbed out of a neighbor’s window. Fleming directed a warning shot from his gun into the ground to persuade suspect Joseph Hebert to wait for police to arrive.
The police arrived and arrested both men. Fleming could serve a similar sentence as the burglar, for “reckless conduct”.
