Time to Get Real About Obamacare (reprised)

MEDIA ADVISORY, March 11 /Christian Newswire/ —

Filling up my email inbox are huge numbers of requests from various pro life organizations to sign petitions which demand removal of abortion from health care.

Very briefly, this is the explanation for an inability to sign on to most of these.

The premise from so many groups is that the problem of the Democrat health care plans will be solved with language removing abortion funding from the bill.

Many people incorrectly assume that removing funding will remove the abortion mandate. This is not so. Mothers will be coerced to abort unborn babies with untoward fetal diagnoses in any government run system, because there will be the threat of no health coverage for such kids. Health care professionals will still be coerced to participate in this and other unethical activity. This is the reality in other socialized medicine systems which lack funding for the care of premature infants, and those with significant congenital disabilities.

Denial of care at other points in development, with respect to early diagnosis using imaging, severe illnesses, and terminal illness, is also a sad reality in other government run health care systems, as well as the one planned for America.

Finally there is the problem of turning over our health care autonomy to an entity which is known to be corrupt. This is not a smart move. The control over our health care will be used by the federal government to control other aspects of our lives, including expression of religious beliefs.

Sorry to the pro-life liberals, this pharmacist (whose insights stem from health care experience), is ethically constrained from signing on to any aspect of the killer-government controlled health care.

Karen L. Brauer MS, RPh is president of Pharmacists for Life International, the most fully pro-life pharmacists’ organization. Find our politically incorrect site at www.pfli.org, and KB’s personal blog at https://themorningafter.us. Pharmacists for Life International truly makes no profit, and all officers and staff are volunteers.

Dems support buying viagra for sex offenders

Tom Coburn opened the trap and the Senate Dems jumped right in.

An amendment to the health care bill was introduced to stop any funding for Viagra and like drugs for sex offenders, rapists, and pedophiles.

The dems, claiming this amendment to be a mockery of the senate and themselves, did exactly as was expected, and voted against it… thus supporting the funding of erectile dysfunction treatments for sex offenders.

The Amendment was defeated 57 – 42.

T shirts, commercials, bumper stickers and ads are forthcoming, to celebrate this pavlovian response.

Our Uninspired U.S. Catholic Bishops

If you ever donated or volunteered at one of the Catholic or other religious affiliated hospitals,  or worked there at lower salary than you might command elsewhere, for the sake of assisting a non profit institution that serves the poor……..  The US Conference of Catholic Bishops doesn’t  think you exist.  You and your service and your generosity are  NOTHING to them, and they collectively appear to  feel that the corrupt, liberal run government, can allocate care so much better.

It’s all right here,  in one of their too little, too late letters which Obama and his lefties are likely  throwing into the dumpster, after using it for personal hygiene,  (recycling being  of paramount importance).

This particular letter states that the issue of providing health care for all  has gone unaddressed in this country.  Unaddressed by all of you who put your time and money toward the effort, or to those who dedicated your careers to this end.  Your efforts go unrecognized as insignificant.   You see,  to our USCCB,  things will only be right when everyone has the same miserably poor care, under government mismanagement, as exists in other socialized countries.   This letter addresses the abortion issue, but utterly ignores the looming death-panel issue of government controlled rationing.    In their left-bent dementia, the bishops  opine that only  the government can manage such an undertaking as health care for all, and until pressure from the Vatican,  and Catholics cutting their funding to the USCCB  set this organization to its impotent letter writing effort,  they were content to support  a complete  economic  takeover by the socialists.

The bishops’  last  half hearted effort to forestall the abortion problem in Obamacare was distributed to parishes, but there was apparently  no mandatory directive for the priests to promote it.   Many churchgoers remain unaware of the effort.

The USCCB has been teaching,  contrary to the Catholic Church, and its authority, that we should allocate our personal, charitable responsibilities to the state.  Allegiance to these misguided bishops  is  a grievous error which will become more apparent as the state proceeds to strip the rest of our freedoms away.

Now is the time to let the U.S. Bishops understand that their leftist, socialist teachings regarding health care and control by the state  are not welcome in our lives.   Reallocate your charitable contributions away from USCCB  interests and  towards the numerous  direct charities, which feed the hungry and provide medical assistance without abortions.  Ask your Pastors and parish leaders to act similarly.    Money talks.   All of us Catholics can increase our efforts  to adhere to Church Teaching.   A transformation of the U.S. Catholic Church is needed.

This can be accomplished  from the grassroots, as  it will be done with respect to  the U.S. government.

Pharmer Cannot Tell a Lie

House leaders plan separate health vote, rejecting ‘deem and pass’ – washingtonpost.com.

Dems chickened out on their unconstitutional plan to pass a bill without passing it.

So today’s plan, which could change at any minute,  is to vote on Sunday, first on the measures of debate, then on the amendments, (backwards), and then on the bill.

As of now, they still don’t have enough votes.

Hey Sisters Take a Look!

This one comes from Life News!

Congressman Bart Stupak also responded to the letter and refuted it.

“When I’m drafting right to life language, I don’t call up the nuns,” he said, adding that he relies on truly pro-life groups like “leading bishops, Focus on the Family, and The National Right to Life Committee.

Did you catch that??

This is where those  59 ‘nuns gone wild’ have gotten you, with their errant behavior and support of Obamacare and the abortion mandates, which will eventually come with it.

Rep Stupak himself is playing a bit of a shell game with the illusion that merely removing abortion funding will remove the threat of abortion coercion, which has always accompanied other socialized medicine programs. But even he feels comfortable dissing the nuns on the issue of pro-life government legislation.

In the same Lifenews  report is refutation of the AP claim  which Pharmer previously discounted, that 59,000 nuns were represented by the 59 leaders.

The Bishops have felt the pressure from the Vatican, and from more adherent Catholic lay people regarding Obama care and are now running newspaper ads against Obamacare.

Pharmer will repeat until blue in the face…… Planned Parenthood Federation personnel  are near the point of  simultaneous climax, thinking about all the new abortion business which will be brought by government health care.   You have heard  NO objections from NARAL, planned unparenthood and the feminazis, concerning Obamacare, the Senate Edition.   This is because it guarantees extensive support for abortion, and their industry looks forward to massive growth, which the Guttmacher Institute estimates as a  30 percent increase in abortions.

Sisters,  it is time for you to put  these nutty nuns, who have signed on to the looming Obamanation, out to pasture.    Ethically  intemperate religious orders will continue to shrink in size, if this leadership problem is not addressed.

Addendum……..  a  statement on health care, ignored by the mainstream media, from the Council of  Majors Superior of Women Religious, who represent about 10,000 sisters, and who still have applicants wanting to join their orders.

Doctors Will Do What Walgreens Did

but they’ll start with Medicare.

The cost savings which the Dems claim to accompany Obamacare will come at the expense of the elderly, that population which is most likely to vote.

Originally medicare reductions in reimbursement were scheduled to start this March, but scared bunny Congress has postponed this to the fall.

The hope is that physicians will not start dumping their medicare patients (as the MAYO CLINIC in Arizona already did) until after election day.

Pharmer would like for people who are covered by medicare to understand at this time, that the Dems have already screwed them to the wall, and respond appropriately in Nov of 2010, as well as in the preceding primary elections.

Pharmer is calling 877-762-8762 or 202-224-3121 or 202-225-3121 today, but the lines are busy. Would you like to help keep the Congressional switchboards occupied?

(Just heard Tom Coburn of the Fed Appropriations Committee tell the democrats that any federal appointments promised to them by Obama (to buy their vote) will be made public, and stopped by the republicans.)
