Eric Holder has been stonewalling the investigation of the ATF Fast and Furious operation in which the ATF apparently bought guns in the United States and gave them to the Mexican Drug Cartels. This was for the purpose of convincing the public that the U.S. is a source of guns to criminals, and that more gun control is necessary.
Congress has reached the conclusion that Eric Holder cannot investigate himself to find out whether he committed perjury in his testimony to the House Judiciary Committee on the Fast and Furious operation. He had claimed no knowledge of the operation.
At this time there is much movement of ATF personnel and attorneys within the Justice department. They are cleaning house, in preparation of the troubles to come.
Pretty much is already known, however, and it it is up to the White House to determine if Eric Holder should be the fall guy, or if they should all go down together.

Yes, there was communication between the ATF and the White House regarding the Fast and Furious distribution of guns to the Mexican Drug Cartels. Bill Newell of the ATF and Kevin O’Reilly, National Security Staffer in the White House, emailed and spoke on the phone regarding the operations.

Samir Khan, of North Carolina and Anwar al Awlaki of New Mexico were killed by the drone method in their newer home of Yemen. Both of these two served as Al-Quaeda outreach to U.S. citizens.
Khan co-edited “Inspire” magazine, which translated Al Quaeda ideology to English. Al-Awlaki was the radical Islam preacher of cyberspace who is blamed for mentoring Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort Hood killer.
The justice department might struggle with the concept of executing U.S. citizens without a trial, while insisting that terrorist prisoners, and prisoners of war from other countries should have been granted trials in New York as U.S. citizens. We might ask Eric Holder to present an argument on that matter in between his efforts to cover up his Fast and Furious troubles – using tax dollars to buy guns for the Mexican drug cartel.

Ken Melson, the interim head of the ATF takes the fall for Obama administration’s (very illegal) Fast and Furious Operation. This guy met privately with Congressman Issa’s investigative committee earlier this summer. Perhaps this places the Obama administration on a tightrope. They moved Melson to the Office of Legal Policy, as a senior adviser on forensic science. Perhaps this is where they can keep him close by, where it’s easiest to watch him.

Meanwhile…. U.S. attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke, who felt so unhealthy when questioned by the Congressional investigators of Fast and Furious, that they had to stop, has resigned from his post.

This announcement does not jibe with the claims that Obama and Holder were unaware of the Fast and Furious plan to sell guns to Mexican criminals.

In the wake of the Fast and Furious scandal, in which the Obama Justice Dept and ATF ordered the sale of firearms and diversion to Mexican criminals, Obama is issuing executive orders to restrict the sale of firearms in border states.
More restrictive executive orders are to follow.

It appears that Cefalu has been in hot water since 2005, when he exposed an illegal wiretapping done by the ATF.

In an effort to obtain prosecutions of criminals higher up in the food chain, the ATF purposely allowed guns to be sold to intermediaries, then pass into Mexico where they were used in various crimes involving bandits and the drug cartel. The majority of the guns involved in this scheme remain at large.
This caught a little more than usual non-attention due to the slaying of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Two of the weapons associated with this crime were traced to the ATF Fast and Furious operation which allowed those guns to pass into Mexico.
Whistle blowers within the ATF are expecting to be jobless due to having provided some of the information linked above. It’s worth a read.
