A Chinese Embassy official pointed out that the parents of Chinese students killed in New Zealand’s earthquakes lost their only child plus their sole social security policy.
Bummer about that one-child policy, but China’s government should be compensating for its own bad decisions, not asking foreign governments to do so.
New Zealand does not bear responsibility for earthquakes occurring on its territory.
Certainly Japan has a bad mess to clean up, but the U.S. media, bent on killing any U.S. nuclear energy program, is hugely exaggerating the disaster, in addition to spewing bad physics, and false information.

Yep, death threats from the Unions and Time.com for Governor Walker. That’s the leftist civility.
And assisting the Japanese is very good idea. Watch and learn the difference between them and Westerners. Pharmer was expecting that this would be the cause of wonderment and surprise to those who are accustomed to much worse behavior. Do a search of looting and Japan.

This story mentions a shop with its windows and door broken by the quake, and the author is astonished that nothing is being looted.
As a rule, they don’t rip off their neighbor over there.
There’s no fantasy about Japanese being perfect….each culture has its own oddities. The huge cultural pressure that is exerted against stealing, in Japan, is effective and refreshing to see. This stems from from the strong sense that the people have of being part of the community.
It will be so much easier to rebuild without idiots tearing apart what’s left of the infrastructure, stealing and killing each other, and attacking those who come to assist, as was the case in New Orleans, after Katrina.
Keep your eyes on Japan. Send some AID if you have the bucks.

Apparently larger herds have descended to trash the capitol of Wisconsin Saturday, to wreak vengeance for not getting their way.
Ask yourself: why it was OK for Jimmy Carter to restrict collective bargaining for federal employees, and Obama to stick with that status quo, but at the same time call the actions of Republicans an assault on unions?
To understand how collective bargaining works… the majority of people in a union will fight to retain their plush salaries and benefits, and it does not matter to them if those on the lower echelons of the union ladder lose their jobs as a result. This is the position of the protesters in Madison.
Seniority takes precedence over usefulness, merit or competency in union life. Only 8 percent of the population are public union employees. Should they be extorting from you through the kind of terrorism seen in Madison?
The only positive aspect about the mobs gathering in Madison, Wisconsin is that they allow us to see and record public union employees as they really are.

The democrat-union- Obama-thugs, (many bused in from other states) have trashed the capitol grounds in Madison, Wisconsin. Republican legislators there are receiving death threats.
We can see that Obama’s call for civility at the Giffords event in Arizona was only meant to apply to conservatives. None of us really expected the Dems to pay any heed.

Earthquake coverage is streaming from Japan.
A massive earthquake struck close to the surface just east of Sendai-shi, the capital of Miyagi prefecture. It is Japan’s worst since earthquakes have been rated with numbers. It was accompanied by a huge tsunami, which has already hit Hawaii, and is probably hitting the west coast of the U.S. just now.

A bill limiting Collective bargaining for public employee unions has passed the Wisconsin senate without presence of the Democrats. In order to allow this vote to occur, spending portions of the bill were stripped, and the regulatory portion affecting union bargaining was passed while Democrat senators were still AWOL.
The unions and Dems are screaming bloody murder of course.
