Belmont Abbey College, represented by the Becket Fund, is suing the Obama Administration over its mandate forcing religious institutions to cover abortifacient forms of birth control. The two most obvious mentioned in the above article are Ella and Plan B One-Step, but the actual list would properly include all hormonal forms of birth control on the market.
The supposed religious exemption written in the Obamacare legislation is regarded as too narrow to include Belmont Abbey College, and it will need to choose between contraceptive coverage or offering any health care coverage at all.
Michele Bachmann’s campaign let out a leaked CBS Memo showing a plan to divert few questions to Bachmann during the Republican presidential candidate’s debate, in order to edge her out.
A Screenshot of the email between John Dickerson and Caroline Horn is at the above link.
Archbishop Charles Chaput is painting a darker view of America as being unfriendly to Christians in the present and coming years.
Pharmer often heaps “un-praise” on the US Conference of Catholic Bishops for cooperating with and supporting the policies of the same corrupt government which intends to bury them, with the recognition that some of the Bishops have always known better. Archbishop Chaput would be one of those.
AP is describing a bit more recognition among the Bishops that the burial of Christianity in the West is well under way, and the beginnings of their efforts towards legal protection of religious freedom.
The legal process is very slow, and Pharmer suggests that adherent Christians might take a page from the book of the Muslims in making western governments kow-tow to their wishes. Christians still wield considerable control over various means of production so that there still remain non-violent options to bend our extremely corrupt government towards respecting religious freedoms.
Such things could be made to happen to the other leftist individuals and organizations who are working to strip away our rights to freely practice our own religions. It should become generally more difficult and expensive for them to get anything accomplished, from new construction to fixing the leak in their toilet.
What is it? A flavor of ice cream which was offered at the Penn State Creamery until a few days ago. TheBigLead.com featured a story about the Sandusky Blitz, which is banana flavored, caramel swirl with chocolate covered peanuts. This flavor has been pulled, though the Peachy Paterno flavor remains.
It appears that Sandusky had become a legend at Penn state, from the ice cream evidence, for more than his coaching role.
Also at the Big Lead is another conceptualization of the ultimate dessert in honor of Jerry Sandusky, an image with which Rush Limbaugh regaled his audience, while unknowingly agreeing with Pharmer that MUCH more is to come out of this Penn State Scandal.
Related: The Citadel Military College in South Carolina has announced a missed opportunity to catch an alleged pedophile, one Louis “Skip” Reville, four years ago. Reville, a principal at Coastal Christian Preparatory School, is currently charged with six felony offenses separate from the offenses reported while he served as a camp counselor at the Citadel (from which he had graduated).
Get a taste of the Occupy Wallstreet Movement, which differs in tone from the public face of the protests of the sixties and seventies. Of course they did have their Weather Underground, and other violent cells, but that did not dominate the fluffy green, pot-smoking, anti-war feeling of those gatherings.
The protests shared a certain lack of sanitation, and lack of focus on how to address the actual problems. Perhaps the milder pot, which was available ~40 years ago, made those protesters too mellow and lazy for the violence we see in today’s Occupy participants.
It’s interesting to see in this song the suggestion that a bloodbath of violence will somehow bring about a utopian world of mutual respect and equality. (It evokes Ahmadinejad’s idea that this is required to bring back the 12th Imam.)
The full lyrics by Joseph Arthur are below, with the blood and guts towards the end. If it is objectionable to repost the song lyrics, we can leave out everything except the violent part per ‘fair use’. Pharmer thought it would be more equitable to the author to post the whole thing.
We occupy wall street
Take back our soul
Take back our country
Take back control
Take back our health care
Take back our mind
Take back our freedom
Give up the grind
We occupy wall street
No more fear
No more acceptance
Of insanity’s sneer
No more division
No more restraint
Our canvas is freedom
Your blood is our paint
we stand as one
You who have robbed us
You who have lied
You who were greedy
While the needy ones died
You who believed
You were better than them
Who sat in the flower
Ignoring the stem
You who denied them
Doctors and care
Humanity’s basics
As if death were their share
You who denied
The struggles of most
Like a pig you consumed
And like a pig you will roast
we stand as one
We occupy wall street
The system has failed
As the innocent ones
Are beat down and jailed
The criminal minds
have stolen this land
By taking our freedom
And binding our hand
To the cuff of misfortune
To the cuff of our need
To the cuff of self pity
To the cuff of a seed
Lost in the desert
No chance to survive
No love to nurture
No water to thrive
we stand as one
A season of murder
The body and soul
Dreams being shattered
The damnation control
Give back our country
We come to defend
Our right to inspire
To love and befriend
Our right to be healthy
Our right to believe
In a country of equals
Of a chance to receive
A chance to develop
A chance to forgive
A chance to dignify
The way that we live
we stand as one
A chance education
A chance to secure
A place for our families
Our right to a cure
The disease is insane
The disease is just greed
The disease is your pain
Ignoring their need
The disease is your reason
Your will is unchecked
But the blood is all over
The lives you have wrecked
But blessed are the meek
For we stand as one
We stand against
The crimes you have done
we stand as one
We stand against
Your desire for more
Hear how we knock
Soon there won’t be a door
And what you won’t share
Will be ripped from your hands
Your body destroyed
The way fire lands
Burning your homes
The privilege you snake
The payback beyond
Anything you could take
Naked you’ll be
And full of regret
And the way they were treated
You’ll long to forget
we stand as one
You’ll wish you could go back
and undo whats been done
You’ll wish you were never
Insanity’s son
You’ll wish you were fair
You’ll wish for compassion
But it will be late
And long out of fashion
Strung up you’ll bleed
Like the pig you became
A symbol of hatred
And one with no name
And our country will come back
Belonging to us
Regain it’s spirit
Regain our trust
we stand as one
Regain it’s standing
Regain the world
The dream of our fathers
A new and bold world
Where people have chance
And can live with respect
And people can dance
Beyond their neglect
Where health is a right
And education within
The grasp of the poor
Who may still one day win
We occupy wall street
So that we may begin
To live in a country
Of freedom again.
You should Click the C.J. Ciaramella above, at least for the pleasure of seeing the photoshopped Kennedy-the-Hutt pic, which is Priceless art. It goes well with the Carrie Fisher (of Star Wars fame) story he relates.
Quoting from Fisher’s book “Shockaholic” about her 1985 date with Chris Dodd, which featured a short visit by Ted Kennedy:
“Suddenly, Senator Kennedy, seated directly across from me, looked at me with his alert, aristocratic eyes and asked me a most surprising question. ‘So,’ he said, clearly amused, ‘do you think you’ll be having sex with Chris at the end of your date?’”
“Chris Dodd looked at me with an unusual grin hanging on his very flushed face.”
Replied Fisher: “Funnily enough, I won’t be having sex with Chris tonight. … No that probably won’t happen. … Thanks for asking, though.”
“’Would you have sex with Chris in a hot tub?’ Senator Kennedy asked me, ‘Perhaps as a way to say good night?”
After many bankrupties and foreclosed farms, 85,000 acres of lost food production, dead fruit and almond trees, a federal judge, Oliver Wanger, has ruled against a Fish and Wildlife Service water restriction to the Central Valley.
This economic disaster was all about supposed population declines of a two inch California Delta smelt, and a guess as to the cause. Water exports to the Central Valley were cut off for four years causing masssive crop and orchard destruction, and 40% unemployment in the immediate area.
Certainly the environmentalists, hell bent on maintaining the destruction, (because there are too many humans), will be proceeding to the 9th circuit court with this case.
It appears that a person can get a lie detector test without making any effort. Herman Cain has just had one, courtesy of private investigator TJ Ward, who applied his software voice analysis to the recent press conference. His software rates Cain’s speech as low risk, which means he’s likely telling the truth.
When Sharon Bialek described sexual impositions in her meeting with Cain, the software rated her as high risk. Ward said that she is likely not lying about having met him, but is lying what what happened.
Law enforcement uses similar voice analysis software with a very high degree of success in detecting lies.
Comments at this story on the Blaze were amusing, with one person suggesting that applying the equipment set the test equipment on fire.
She notes that the allegations against Cain all stem from time with the National Restaurant Association, and no other time of his long business career. The NRA period is Cain’s closest brush with the Chicago cesspool.
With poor Perry showing some really bad performance at the debates (order of magnitude worse than neophyte- Pharmer’s first appearance on national television), Cain is the current top tier conservative. This will inspire further false allegations and attacks from the left. They fear him even more than they fear Palin.
