Specsavers' optician spots brain condition after doctor misses signs – Telegraph.

The UK Telegraph story linked above illustrates a couple of points: One is that the physicians are not able to spend enough time with patients to give thorough evaluations, and have lost physical examination skills. The other is that the media reporters and editors use the terms optometrist and optician, (the person who dispenses lenses for vision correction), interchangeably and apparently don’t understand the difference.

Katie Burns diagnosis was missed by her general practitioner, to the extent that she was given the generic “it must be a virus” diagnosis, and did not get a referral to a specialist. She had frequent and worsening headaches. A friend suggested that she visit an opTOMOtrist, (the guy who examines and diagnoses eye problems, and prescribes vision correction). Dr. Faheem Hassan spotted an abnormally bulging head of her optic nerve, and directed her to a hospital, where she received a lumbar puncture to relieve pressure on her brain.
Ms. Burns is said to have been suffering intracranial hypertension, and has since had procedures to install a stent to assist with “brain drainage” to relieve pressure.

Left-Wing Recall Effort Fails in Wisconsin.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz called this Wisconsin race a dry run for the Obama campaign. It’s nice to think of a similar result in November, with Team Obama being flushed into the septic tank of history.

Scott Walker won handily in Wisconsin, as did Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and the three other senators who were affected by the recall. A fourth open Senate seat was also in contest.

It’s a bad day for the public sector unions, and Obamanator, and a great victory for the Tea Party.

The EPA Mission to Kill the Coal Industry

Curt Spaulding,  EPA administrator commented to Yale students on the use of the EPA  to kill the coal industry:

“you got to remember if you go to West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and all those places, you have coal communities who depend on coal. And to say that we just think those communities should just go away, we can’t do that. But she had to do what the law and policy suggested. And it’s painful. It’s painful every step of the way.”
How are people going to charge their electric cars after Obama stops coal production??

The Media Research Center had prepared a report on the Godfather of the left,  George Soros.

Pharmer calls Soros “the World’s Biggest Tick“, since he engineers his profits  from the decline of nations.   In turn,  he feeds a large portion to the LEFTIES, who further the devolution and destruction of civilizations.

Like other Parasites,  George Soros eventually kills his hosts and moves on.

Stand Up for Religious Freedom.

What are you doing on Friday?   Are you off work?   Look up the list of cities at the above link and show up for the nationwide rallies against Obama’s  birthcontrol-abortion-sterilization HHS  mandate.  They occur in each city at noon, local time, June 8, 2012.

Be assured that the media will ignore your efforts, but you might be uplifted in the presence of other like minded individuals who oppose Obama’s attack on religious freedom.

Herman Cain’s new Radio Gig

Radio Host Neal Boortz Retiring, Passing Torch to Herman Cain.

The veteran conservative radio talker, Neal Boortz, is retiring after 40 years and Herman Cain is taking over. Boortz will continue to deliver short radio blasts which he can record during his planned eight month road trip with his wife, Donna.
Herman Cain will pick up 200 radio markets and 6 million listeners with the syndicated talk show from Atlanta News/Talk WSB.

Boortz, “the Talkmaster” will pass the mic to Cain, “the Dean of the University of Common Sense” on January 22, 2013, the day after Obama hopefully leaves office.

Target Selling Pride Shirts to Help Pro-Gay Marriage Group — and Reportedly Blocking Emails From Those Complaining | TheBlaze.com.

Target has chosen to invest in the leftist desires for the three percent. The company is selling gay pride tee shirts, and funding the “Family Equality Council” a pro gay marriage group.

Not all of gay people believe that the government should support gay marriage. Their reasons for opposing it are myriad. Some have figured out that the institution is more for children than it is for the couples. Others, like Natalie Neusch, just think it’s weird.

One wonders how many email protests, coming from gays, are being blocked by Target’s customer service.
