Sister of Charity, Marge Kloos Agrees to Plead Guilty of Vote Fraud

Sister Marge Kloos, 54, of the Sisters of Charity has agreed to plead guilty to a charge of fraudulent voting. She apparently sent in an absentee ballot for Sister Rose Marie Hewitt, who had been celestially discharged’ on October 4th 2012.

Is Sister Marge a democrat? Pharmer bets the Pharm on it. The Chicago native joins the embarrassing list of Catholic left-leaners who signed  this Letter to John Boehner, which exhorts him to stop his cooperation with the “reckless Teaparty”.

Sister Marge  has resigned from her position as the dean of the Division of Arts and Humanities at Mount Saint Joseph College, in Delhi twp., Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sister Joan Cook, president of the Sisters of Charity says that her organization is  cooperating with the investigation of Sister Marge Kloos.

Gabby Giffords’s Husband Buys AR-15

Gabby Giffords's Husband Buys AR-15.

<--- Worth a Click, because Mark E Kelly has been running around with his wife, Gabby Giffords, the latest poster-girl of gun control, giving testimony in favor of democrat weapons bans. On the day after such testimony, Kelly was photographed purchasing a 911-style semi-auto pistol, an AR-15 semi-auto rifle, and high capacity magazines. When the news leaked out, he announced on facebook that he would be turning in his AR-15 to Tucson police, but has not mentioned what he will do with his pistol.

RNC Chair Reince Priebus: Feeling the Loss of the Conservative Base?

RNC Chair Reince Priebus: GOP’s Problem Is the ‘Biologically Stupid Things That People Say’ | TheBlaze.com.

Priebus appears to be trying to win back the social conservatives, after abandoning them in the 2012 election.   Now he says that there is nothing that needs changing in the republican platform, but he still is dumping on the two candidates that his ‘administration’ threw under the bus in 2012.

Is Priebus feeling the loss?    Have a lot of other people left the republican party after Mourdock and Akin were dumped by them in the 2012 election?  Did they finally figure out that millions of conservatives stayed home last November, and that more of us are contemplating it this time?

Mourdock said absolutely nothing wrong in his interview.  There were no biological errors.  Some people believe in a less personal Deity, or would split theological hairs between the term “intend” and “allow”, but that is not an issue of biology.  It should be permissible for a candidate to speak his religious beliefs.

Akin ‘hyperbolized’  the idea that stress could adversely  affect fertility, but it remains essentially correct that pregnancy from rape only accounts for a tiny portion of abortions done in the U.S.

Neither candidate should have been abandoned for their statements, but Priebus and the republican elites threw these two under the bus at the behest of the leftist media.

Your friendly Pharmer would send money, again, to either man if they ran for office. Congratulations to  both Mourdock and Akin  for sticking by the MAJORITY of women who would not have an abortion if they became pregnant from rape, because they believe in the sacredness of life.  Society has basically abandoned them, by expecting women who have been raped to kill their babies.

Republican leadership has been selling true conservatives out for years.  It appears that Priebus wants to throw a tiny bone at those of us who have left them.  After so many betrayals, this is not going to be effective.

CBS Journo-LOSTS Demonstrate Educational failure.

Officials: 80 Percent Of Recent NYC High School Graduates Cannot Read « CBS New York.

The article above  informs us that 80 percent of NYC High School Students need remedial instruction in the basics before going on to college.  In other words,  they have to pay for additional education because they’re not being adequately prepared by the government funded education.

Three hours before Pharmer encountered the article, another reader, “SS”,  had commented on a typo in the word ‘group’, (grouip), the mispelling of the word ‘nervous’, (nervus),  and the use of “emersion” rather than immersion.   Two of the errors were corrected, but the word “nervus” still remained at the time of this reading.

Were this a blogger, such as yours truly,  who posts news on the fly, without the benefit of an editor, one might expect some errors.  Journalists write for a living, and have the “benefit” of editors, who are supposed to review articles before publication.

Fortunately, CBS has a third layer of help from those who append comments to the posts.   Thanks “SS” for your voluntary service to news readers.

Sioux Chief Plumbing Company Wins Victory Against HHS Mandate

Alliance Defending Freedom has succeeded in winning an injunction for  Sioux Chief Plumbing Company against the Obama HHS mandate.  This brings to 12 the number of victories for businesses and institutions which have brought suit on first amendment grounds against the Obama administration violations of the First Amendment.

Kathleen Sebelius administers this mandate, which forces businesses to pay for abortions, birth control and sterilizations, regardless of their religious beliefs.  The Obama administration holds that anyone who operates a secular business is not permitted to exercise their religious beliefs in their daily lives and their work.

Generally a court will grant an injunction against a law or government regulation when there is good likelihood that there will be a final ruling against the law.

Alliance Defending Freedom is handling eight additional lawsuits against Obama’s Abortifacient HHS mandate.

Obama Administration is Committed to Making His Sequester as Painful As Possible

The Sequester is not really a cut in spending at all, but a reduction in the projected increase.  The spending in 2013 will still be larger than 2012.  However Obama promised a lot of pain to be associated with the sequester, and it would appear that federal officials are being ordered to make this happen.

And example comes from an internal email exchange by an Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service official, Charles Brown.  He asked if he could spread whatever cuts might affect his region to make them as painless as possible.  The answer was that he was not to do anything to lessen the impact on fish inspections,  so that the effects  would be as dire as Obama warned Congress they would be.  Cuts in his area are to eliminate aid to prevent wildlife damage  to the aquaculture industry in 24 states.

In other words,  we have direct evidence that Obama is going to make  HIS sequester painful, and blame the whole idea on the Republicans.

Obama also has threatened that he  has an ability to target cuts, eliminating meat inspectors, for example, so as to reduce the available food supply.  He might not remember that his supporters will be punished most of all, as this cut would  affect the inner city “food deserts” more than the most rural areas.   (Pharmer recalls to mind  the increasingly severe cuts in DRUG supply which the nation has been experienced during Obama’s tenure.)

Since this APHIS email  came to light, the  USDA is walking back the implications of the report, saying that they will try to mitigate the effects of the sequester as much as possible.

The Washington Times also noted that the White house was facing questions on the 50 million dollar order for new TSA uniforms that it made just before the sequestration took effect.

Obama is also closing the White house to tours, and blaming this on the sequester.  Perhaps he fears blowback from  his obviously vengeful attitude towards Americans.   Inside the beltway, people are asking why Obama can’t keep the White house open, noting that President Lincoln was able to do so throughout the time of the Civil War.

Barrie Obama is no Abe Lincoln.

Eliminate armed guards for President, Vice-President, and their families, establish Gun Free Zones around them

There is terrific petition at the Whitehouse to eliminate armed guards for the president, vice president and their families, (so they can live just like us). It also proposes to enact gun free zones around them – similar to the ones that “protect” our schools.  As of now there are 35038 signatures.

Check it out at the link below!

Assisted Living Policy Ruled by Emotions and Not Compassion

The Assisted Living Federation of America has decided to consider giving 911 dispatchers authority to rescind your signed DNR orders, or your  request to avoid CPR treatment.

It seems that the usual sounds made by a dying woman  so unnerved those who heard the recent Bakersfield 911 tape, that they are willing to order bone crushing CPR, even when it is not wanted.

Yes,  a 911 dispatcher who has no access to your medical records, does not have as much training as an RN, and does not your current state of health or your personal guiding principles, is going to have final authority to give you treatment that YOU Do Not Want!!!

This is just as stupid as allowing federal  government bureaucrats to run all of the health care systems of the United States!

The inmates are running the asylum.

Did You Know- Europeans Want Guns?

M. E. Synon of Euroseptic reminds us that Europeans want guns too.   According to police and other research, most of the privately held guns in Germany, and  Belgium, are “off the books”.  In other words, they are illegally owned.  The number of legally owned guns in the Czech Republic expanded rapidly in the years after the collapse of communism.

‘Free People want guns’, says Ms. Synon, ‘because guns help keep them free.’

Celestial Discharge: Ms. Lorraine Bayless, Trailed by Media Mayhem.

Prayers for the peaceful repose of Ms. Lorraine Bayless, and prayers for her family, which, by all appearances, is being victimized by a bumbling news media and generally uninformed public.

Prior to her natural death, following a collapse in the dining hall of the Glenwood Gardens Extended Care Facility, the 87 year old Ms. Bayless was residing  in the independent living section of the facility.  Her condition precipitated a call to 911, by an  unnamed nurse.  The 911 dispatcher, in a much publicized call, begged the nurse to administer CPR.  When the nurse refused,  the dispatcher begged her to find someone else who would.

The daughter of Ms. Bayless, also a nurse,  has stated that she is satisfied with the care given to her mother at Glenwood Gardens.

What has precipitated the media storm,  foaming at the mouth, and gnashing of teeth by so many uninformed people, is a statement by KGET television of Bakersfield, California, that the elderly lady had not signed a DNR form.

Interestingly, over in the UK, the Daily Mail says just the opposite, that the women had indeed signed the DNR form.  Most who are commenting  at that  source are wondering what  is causing the big fuss in the U.S..   In their minds, the Glenwood nurse was fulfilling the lady’s wishes.

The two opposing claims are juxtaposed below.

NO DNR:

DNR KGET Lorraine Bayless

YES DNR:

DNR Daily Mail Lorraine Bayless

Your friendly Pharmer would like to add that not all elderly people want to be bagged and thumped when they are in the process of leaving this world.   Many truly do opt out of it, as they have accumulated too many health ailments, or fear doing so.  Some realize that the success rate of CPR is not all that terrific, and the outcome for an elderly person very seldom involves springing back to the prior state of health. CPR is also generally painful after the fact, due to cracked ribs, and many other possible injuries.

None of us know the circumstances of Ms. Bayless, nor do we know her final wishes, since reports are conflicting regarding her paperwork.   She need not have used a form to convey how she wished to go, and might have made her intentions known by other means.

Please avoid the temptation to ascribe this event to Obamacare (which is much worse than being allowed to die a natural death in old age).   Please also withhold judgment on the nurse who stayed with Ms. Bayless as the emergency care was summoned.  It would also be good to avoid  assumptions about the daughter of this lady, about whom we know little, other than that she does not intend to rain down legal punishments upon Glenwood Gardens extended care facility.

Having attended a good number of code blue events,  Pharmer quite understands the choice of people to opt out of CPR, and expects to make this choice for herself long before the age of 80.  Many health care professionals actually  feel guilty when they have to perform it on an elderly person who has not expressed their wishes on the matter.

Update from newsok.com: City fire officials say Bayless did not have a “do not resuscitate” order on file at the home. Her family said, however, “it was our beloved mother and grandmother’s wish to die naturally and without any kind of life-prolonging intervention.””
