Blue State Blues: From ‘Porn Goggles’ to ‘Back-Alley’ Abortions.

Joel Pollak of Breitbart comments on the big sex regulators who accuse the conservatives of intrusion into people’s private lives.   He notes that the left wing in California passed legislation which imposes condom inspections on the porn industry.   Even now they’re suggesting that safety goggles be worn by porn actors to prevent transmission of diseases through fluids getting into the eyes.

The left has laid itself open for all sorts of backlash against the intrusive nature of its governance, from safety seats for 12 year olds, to the myriad smoking regulations and prohibitions.

The latest in the leftie  war on women is a law  allowing non physicians to perform abortions on women.  Californians are now working on a referendum to overturn AB-154, which effectively had legalized back alley style abortion in that state.

 

McBean Elementary School Bans U.S. Veteran Mom From School Ground

Why????  Because the mom, Ms. Tanya Mount posted a  picture of her concealed carry license in her hands on Facebook.

When Mount, whose daughter attends Bean Elementary, asked what she had done wrong, she was told that the principal was scared of her and did not want her on the school grounds.

News media reports that the principal, Janina Dallas confirmed that the facebook photo was the source of her problems.  Tanya Mount says that this was her first conflict with the principal, and she has since gotten permission to transfer her daughter to another school.  The Army Veteran is demanding an apology from McBean Elementary.

Government Shutdown: The Left is Trolling for Sad Stories.

The lefties at Generation Progress sent your friendly Pharmer an email, asking for a story of woe and dispair related to the government shut down. They want you to pray to Obama for relief from those dastardly Republicans, who function as blame bodies for all government failure.  It was only necessary to click on the email link, and be directed to a form which asked for personal information and for a story of whatever deprivation has been suffered as a result of the 17 percent government slow down.

Republican FAILure to Defund Obamacare

Dear Sen Coats,
Senator Dan Coats (R.) of Indiana replied to requests that he vote against cloture on the bill which allows Obamacare to be defunded. He, as expected, supported cloture.

The Republican response is to delay the individual mandate of Obamacare, so that people cannot feel so much damage until after 2014, thereby ensuring that the leftists keep control of the Senate after the 2014 election. (DUH!)

The Pharmer wrote back to him as follows:

Re: Obamacare vs government shut down.

Those of us who have memory, recall that the government has “shut down” numerous times in the past, and the U.S. has survived.
We know that a “shut down” has never caused the total stoppage of all services.
We are not made afraid by the term “government shut down”.
Delaying the Individual Mandate will do only one thing…… prevent people from blaming the Dems for Obamacare damages, and keep that party in power after 2014. Delaying the individual mandate will ensure that Dems keep the Senate. (Repubs should fire their political consultants.)
We wonder why the Republicans have become so fearful. Have their cushie jobs become more important than the U.S.A. itself? Are their lives being threatened by the Chicago mob in Washington? What has caused the loss of testosterone in the Republican party?
Is it time for the Republicans to be replaced by a party which puts the people (who oppose Obamacare by a large margin) first?
My first presidential vote was for Ronald Reagan, but the party has thrown me, and other conservatives aside as it tries to recast itself as leftist-lite.
What the Republicans do next determines whether I continue on as an independent conservative, or assist a third party to supplant the GOP.

Cursing the Children – The Party that Brought You Obamacare

When the Lefties  tell you about how much they care for the children, remind yourself that this love and compassion often comes  to a screeching halt when they lose their tempers.

Professor David Guth is suspended at the University of Kansas for his response to the (Obama supporting) gunman who killed a douzen peole at the Navy Yard in Washington DC.

He tweeted:  “#Navyyartshooting  The Blood is on the hands of the #NRA. Next time, let it be YOUR sons and daughters. Shame on you. May God Damn you.” 

What a delightful guy.  He was even able to embarrass a University with his vitriol.  David Guth, who stands by his tweet,  is the poster boy of academic tenure.

Next up is Allan Brauer, the current communications chairman of the Sacramento, CA Democrat party.  Check out what he had to say Amanda Carpenter, in response to her tweet exhorting Republicans to stop Obamacare.  Allan’s first luminous COMMUNICATION:  “@amandacarpenter May your children all die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases.” Amanda Carpenter  retweeted his curse, saying that he “deserves some unfollows” from Twitter-ites.   You’ll have to click the above link to see Allan’s further replies, which describe infestations by cestodes  and pthiris species.   This Dem Communicator has perhaps been cruising the underbelly of the internet too long, and has REALLY forgotten how to behave in public.

Later, feeling a loss of popularity, Allan Brauer apologized for the death curse on Amanda Carpenter’s kids, but, as of this afternoon, no  such statement was forthcoming from the Sacramento Dems, nor California Democratic Party spokesman.

Washington Post Sold at Bargain Basement Price

…..lower than pawnshop markdowns.  WaPo, selling at a 87% percent loss (from its value 10 years ago, not counting inflation) was priced somewhere between flea market and free-cycle rates, and Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com  snapped it up as a cute news accessory.

Possibly the headlines touting his name and his company’s name constitute advertising which is worth the cost of this purchase.

This change of ownership is the buzz of media everywhere, eclipsing even the news of the New York Times selling off the Boston Globe for pennies on the dollar.

Pharmer had personally experienced the bias of the Washington Post, and  asked the interviewer about its effect on their readership and ad sales.   This might have been a reason for a stoppage of the regular, early summer calls from Rob Stein. 😉   It appears that he has jumped ship and moved to the NPR science desk.

Certainly internet news has put a huge dent in the print media industry, but almost all large newspapers maintain an online presence.   The leftie press has so tarnished its reputation, and chased away readers, that they can no longer maintain advertising  sales.  The occasional publishing of an actual news story has been aptly termed a “random act of journalism”.

Above are the headlines which were automatically generated when the WordPress “Press This” button was pushed on William Saletan’s  article on ABC’s treatment of  Juror B29, ‘Maddy’.

Going to the article itself, there is an apparent change, and the milder look is shown below.  The discrepancy is probably due to a need to keep the original link URLS and tags, after editors tone down the appearance of the article itself.

Aside from that apparent change, William Saletan has provided a good analysis of media bias coming from ABC. Their video cutting and editing provides an impression that juror B-29 thought Zimmerman was guilty of murder, but had to acquit due to the letter of the law.

When a less edited video is heard or viewed, it is apparent that the juror understood that Zimmerman was guilty of killing Trayvon, (an undisputed fact of the case) but that this was not manslaughter or second degree murder because no Intention to kill was apparent.  Saletan tells us that ABC interviewer put the phrase “got away with murder” in Maddie’s mouth.   She was repeating it  (vid link) as she analyzed the question being put to her.

Saletan gets a thumbs up for analyzing the media treatment of this case in a dispassionate way.  Click his link and read for yourself. 

You’ll meet a juror who wanted to find Zimmerman guilty of the killing, out of sympathy for the victim and his family, but knew that the charges did not fit the situation.  She put aside her feelings and  and conscientiously interpreted the law.  You will also see the ill effects she is suffering, now that she is aware of the government-fomented race war which has been generated from this case.

William Binney, who worked for the National Security Agency for 40 years, quit after 911 had moved his employer to what he felt was excessive snooping on American citizens. He believes that all phone companies, and not just Verizon are involved in turning over records of calls to the NSA.

The surprise to many of those reporting on this issue of monitoring phone data is that it has continued and has drastically increased since Bush left office.

An internet surveillance program called PRISM, started in 2007 under Bush, and has also massively increased during the reign of  Obama. A report by another whistle blower reveals that internet giants Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, Pal Talk, AOL, Skype, YouTube, and Apple are submitting to government snooping into the private data of their users. Apple is said not to have joined this effort until 2012,  after Steve Jobs had died. Perhaps this was part of the reason for the government attacks on the company.  Microsoft was purportedly the first company to jump  on board with the program.
The threat of lawsuits and “regulation” from the government has been enough to secure compliance from the companies.
Spokesmen from these companies continue to deny knowledge of government access to their databases.

It is interesting to watch some of the leftie media outlets responding to the idea that the government has been monitoring their private communications and internet activities, and that the Obama administration appears to have vastly increased the scope of the snooping.  This appears to have really gotten their attention.

Per Tweet News, Kermit Gosnell Found Guilty

None of the media outlets can agree on how many charges Gosnell faced, with the numbers ranging from the 230’s to above 260, but the huge burden is the likely reason that the jury took so long in deliberating the many verdicts.

This hugely significant trial is most notable for having been ignored by the media, most of which only began covering the issue when forced to by its repetition in the social media.

The practices by Gosnell are not so notable, as many abortion clinics exhibit deplorable standards of practice and unsanitary conditions.  Also, the practice of infanticide is widespread at late term abortion clinics, in which babies who are born alive are killed by neglect, suffocation or other methods.

 

U of Wyoming Students Protest Leftist’s Alleged Threat to Rape Herself

Students at University of Wyoming have been rallying against violence in response to a threatening Facebook post directed at activist student, Meg Lanker-Simons.   This missive appeared on a Facebook page called UW crushes, in which students could post who likes Whom, and in what manner.

Last week, a post, ostensibly from someone of opposing ideology was directed at Ms. Lanker-Simons: “I want to hatef— Meg Lanker- so hard,” the Facebook post said. “That chick that runs her liberal mouth all the time and doesn’t care who knows it. I think its hot and it makes me angry. One night with me and shes gonna be a good Republican b—-.”

Lanker-Simons was catapulted into the public position of victimhood, where leftists often like to be. Problems with remaining there erupted when a police investigation revealed that the offending post originated in Lanker’s own computer while it was in her possession. It’s worthwhhile for readers to check out the image showing the victim allegedly replying to her alleged self. 😉
