43 Catholic Organizations file 12 lawsuits against the HHS mandate

Forty-three Catholic organizations file lawsuits against HHS mandate :: Catholic News Agency (CNA).

Eleven or more lawsuits had already been filed against the Health and Human Services mandate to pay for birth control/abortion/sterilization, and now 43 more Catholic organizations have piled on.
Kathleen Sebelius, who had no idea that her mandate would be an unconstitutional problem, will be kept busy with depositions. Perhaps this will occupy some of her time and prevent her from doing further damage to health care and the economy.
The University of Steubenville, which has had to drop health coverage for its employees, is among the educational institutions suing the the Obama administration.

Medicare Advantage Will Continue Until After Election

President Obama’s Medicare slush fund—Benjamin E. Sasse & Charles Hurt – NYPOST.com.

There’s 8 billion dollars coming from tax payers which will essentially serve as an election fund for Obama. It will prevent the Medicare Advantage Plan from crashing until just after the election.
The current regime understands that if seniors lose this particular medicare plan, and get funneled back into the standard plan, they’ll get upset and vote Obama out.

‘Create the family you want: Boy or Girl’: Sex selection advertized in Canadian newspapers | LifeSiteNews.com

‘Create the family you want: Boy or Girl’: Sex selection advertized in Canadian newspapers | LifeSiteNews.com.

A Seattle Fertility Clinic has been running ads in Canadian newspapers,  targeting immigrants to British Columbia.    It uses a preimplantation diagnostic procedure to determine if embryos produced by in vitro fertilization are  males or females.   This allows an opportunity to destroy those of the “wrong” sex, and implant only those of the desired sex.

In the National Post, Kelly McParland takes aim at Canadians who might be put off by this sex selection industry.  Canada has next to no abortion restrictions, and the Seattle  fertility clinic is taking advantage of Canada’s very liberal environment.    He notes that sex selection “puts feminists in the odd position of defending the right of women to decide against female babies on the basis that females aren’t as valuable or desirable as males.”

Very Late Term Abortions Have Been Suggested for Bioethicists Minerva and Giubilini

A bit of a media uproar was generated by Alberto Giubilini Francesca Minerva who were published in the Journal of Medical Ethics. These two were former associates of the Journal’s Editor, Julian Savulescu, who seems a bit disturbed by the backlash. It seems that some people have written to these two large masses of unproductive tissue that they might be eligible for very late term abortions.

While your friendly  Pharmer  desires to avoid killing any humans, she is not surprised that the same slippery slope of habitual and gratuitous killing that is now justifying infanticide, would be extended a little further to include bioethicists. After all, that group certainly has less  claim than infants do in the area of productivity and value to society.  While newborns don’t do too much, they  seem to bring a sense of hope and joy  to many casual observers.  The same is not true for these bioethicists.

Obama Owned NBC Will Not Dump its President, Steve Capus

Editgate: Three Strikes and NBC’s Steve Capus Should Be Out.

John Nolte over at Breitbart  outlines three major instances of media malpractice by NBC,  designed to Wag the Race War for the Left.

If we’re distracted by racial polarization, we might pay less attention to the looming spectre of Obamacare,  the destruction of our economy, and the mismanagement of forieign policy which will soon ignite World War III.

Obama ‘owns’ Jeffrey Immelt,  CEO of GE,  which still owns 49% of NBC.    President of CE, Steve Capus, has overseen a good deal of media abuse during his tenure, which began in 2005,  which, in earlier  times could have cost him his job.

NBC’s latest attempt to start a race war involved purposefully editing the Zimmerman 911 tape (click this)  to present  a racist, wanna-be cop, pursuing a  Black kid.   NBC is still claiming that the editing wasn’t with this intent,  but listening to the cut version vs the original version leaves zero room for doubt.

George Zimmerman has to hide, in fear for his life.  NBC has supposedly fired the senior producer, who edited the tape, but will not name him.   He is free to continue his malpractice elsewhere.

Contessa Brewer remains in place after chopping the head off of a gun toting individual photographed at a Tea Party event.   This is because NBC did not want anyone to know that he was a Black Man.  It wouldn’t fit the Brewer’s narrative  that we’re all a bunch of racist, white homophobes,  who could constitute  threat to Obama’s life.

NBC’s Ed Schultz similarly edited a speech by Rick Perry about the Black Cloud of 14-16 trillion dollars debt, hanging over America.  He chopped out the words about debt on either side of the “Black Cloud” words,  and then stated that Perry was talking about Obama.    Race baiter,  (and misogynist)  Ed Schultz,  still retains his job.

Hat’s off to John Nolte for his triple header — check it out if you want to see  additional evidence of editorial malpractice.

What You Lose When You Sign That Organ-Donor Card – WSJ.com

What You Lose When You Sign That Organ-Donor Card – WSJ.com.

According to Dick Teresi,   your family loses rights over the disposition of your body, and the means by which organs are obtained  if you sign that donor card.

The tests for determining brain death mainly evaluate brain stem activity.   The author recommends cerebral blood flow studies to give more certainty that the higher cortical areas are dead.

A trip to the Amazon  page for Teresi’s book on the subject reveals many angry comments, mostly from people offended by the WSJ article, who did not read his entire book.    People who have received transplants, or who have donated the organs of their loved ones, desperately want to believe that all is well.  Their emotional reactions provide  a good impetus to buy that book, which Pharmer has just done.

Pharmer understands that in the health care field, there are bioethicists, who function to assure  their own definitions of ‘quality of life’.   There are diagnostic errors, and there are naturally cover ups .     The Hippocratic Oath is no longer used at most medical schools, because it strictly forbids killing or purposely harming a patient.

The WSJ author’s recommendation that families  oversee the donation process more closely to assure proper treatment is  a sensible precaution.  Those who want the organs might consent to more thorough examination and more respectful, humane treatment of the dying or deceased patient.   It will also give greater assurances to transplant  recipients that no human being was  abused or killed to obtain an organ for them.

Perhaps a return to the ideals of the Hippocratic oath would  increase  public trust in the health care professions and prevent unnecessary transplant delays .

Why Sex Stopped Being FUN, and became a Job and a Human Right

Arizona Birth Control Bill Allows Employers To Fire Women On The Pill Based On Religious Beliefs – International Business Times.

Above is a  touch stone,  a  headline from International Business Times, making  a false claim about Arizona legislation which would make employer coverage of employees’ birth control optional.

This AZ house bill 2625  allows employers to avoid covering recreational use of hormones for birth control based on their religious beliefs.  Women can still get coverage for medical need for indications other than birth control.  This bill does not  give permission to employers to fire employees for use of birth control pills. If the woman is obtaining her own pills, it would be a violation of HIPAA regs for the employer to have the info, and a violation of a bunch of other laws for the employer to fire for that reason. Nice try. The IB Times needs to surrender to the fact that the “war on women” ploy is not working. Birth control pills are just too cheap to merit such a whine-fest. Go back to that other loser “abortion”.
The headline  is an example of how completely unreliable the mainstream press is, as well as the ACLU and Huffington Post.

There are  many heated debates  over whether employers and insurance companies should pay for birth control pills when used to prevent or stop  reproduction.

One of the commenting individuals expressed offense that Pharmer  used the term recreational drug to describe birth control  drugs, and recreational  sex to describe the kind people have when they don’t want to make babies.  Specifically the idea was introduced that sex,  with the desire to avoid reproduction,  is NOT  recreational.   Pharmer thinks that when sex stops being fun, it is time to quit.

Sex becomes a job  or a human right when people want others to pay for it!!!   It rises to the level of a religious freedom issue.   If a person has a belief that their sex is NOT fun, and it is a ritual activity that has become a JOB, then others should  respect it as a human right under the first amendment and pay for it, even if that  practice violates their own religion.    It’s Sandra Fluke all over again, and  despite  this admission from the Left  that sex is not fun anymore,  Rush Limbaugh  got in trouble for saying that it was a Job for Sandra.

Eureka!   The  pattern is elucidated:   Recreation stops being recreation, or becomes an offensive term when people start wanting to be PAID for what should be considered FUN!! They turn it into a job, a  ritual, or a human right!

It’s ‘welfare’ gone WILD!!!

Draft Mental Health Bill 2011 | Sterilizations at Any Age | Natural Society.

Brave New World: Australia has introduced a bill to allow children to consent to sterilization. It also allows children 12 years and older to independently consent to psychosurgery and electroshock. This is a cost containment effort, to mitigate the burden of mental health care on the socialized medicine system.

The Pain of Selective Reduction

An article appears at American Thinker relating the damage caused by a selective reduction abortion.   The author’s  wife had IVF treatment which  resulted in her bearing triplets.   She decided that she could only keep one of them and opted  for the selective reduction procedure.  The author tried to pursuade his wife not to go through with this but she was adamant.

The procedure involved injecting two of the embryos with potassium chloride,  guided by ultrasound.  Anonymous Dad watched the screen as this was done,  and witnessed the aversion responses and deaths of these two triplets.   Contrary to the visible evidence, the fertility doctor insisted that the deaths were painless.

From Anonymous: “I pray to G-d every day to take those two innocents to Him, to welcome them, and I ask them every day for forgiveness.  As I will every day for the rest of my life.  I don’t know what accommodation my wife will make mentally and spiritually.  That is her business, and a burden her conscience must bear.”

These words indicate a marriage on the rocks.  This is a couple that needs to get with Project Rachel or some other post abortion counseling agency if they want their marriage to survive.  One wonders how many divorces result from the  differing beliefs of spouses about the value of human life.

Anonymous Dad contributed his article likely  as an act of repentance, and also in the hope that others could be dissuaded from abortions.  Prayers for his success.

Journal editor defends pro-infanticide piece: Killing newborns is already legal in Holland | LifeSiteNews.com

Learn about the Groningen Protocol, a standard which determines which newborn babies may be killed in the Netherlands.

Pro-life people have known about the infanticide occurring in America and throughout the world for many years, but it seems that the rest of people are still in shock from the pronouncements by two Australian “bioethicists” that this is OK, based on considering it as an extension of abortion.
The authors after getting so many “love letters” about their publication, have explained that they “join disability activists who condemn the routine recommendation of abortion for no other reason than to prevent the death of an affected baby.”
They see waiting until birth as a better alternative, because there is less chance of a false diagnosis of anomalies and a better assessment can be made of a newborn.
Journal of Medical Ethics editor, Julian Savulescu, who has also argued against waiting until patients are dead before organ harvesting, has taken time out to defend the pro-infanticide article, saying essentially that it is nothing new.
What’s new is that the general public is uncomfortable with killing a baby who is visible.
