Waking Up is Hard to Do

Catholic bishops prepare religious liberty fight.

Archbishop Charles Chaput is painting a darker view of America as being unfriendly to Christians in the present and coming years.

Pharmer often heaps “un-praise” on the US Conference of Catholic Bishops for cooperating with and supporting the policies of the same corrupt government which intends to bury them, with the recognition that some of the Bishops have always known better.  Archbishop Chaput would be one of those.

AP is describing a bit more recognition among the Bishops that the burial of Christianity in the West is well under way, and the beginnings of their  efforts towards legal protection of religious freedom.

The legal process is very slow, and Pharmer suggests  that adherent Christians might  take a page from the book of the Muslims in making western  governments kow-tow to their wishes.  Christians still wield considerable control over various means of production so that there still remain non-violent options to bend our extremely corrupt government towards respecting religious freedoms.

Such techniques  have been used by the pro-lifers to delay and stop construction and operation of abortion clinics. In recent years planned parenthood has had  to form  shadow companies to have  clinics built, because so  many contractors opt not to do business with them.  Their difficulties are increasing.

Such things could be made to happen to the other leftist individuals and organizations  who are working to strip away our rights to freely practice our own religions.  It should become generally more difficult and expensive for them to get anything accomplished, from new construction to fixing the leak in their toilet.

Christians Should Stop ‘Downgrading’ Christianity Says British Muslim Minister | TheBlaze.com

Christians Should Stop ‘Downgrading’ Christianity Says British Muslim Minister | TheBlaze.com.

Baroness Sayeeda Warsi  (first female Muslim in the UK Cabinet) calls for Christians to quit being wimps.  Amazing!  She asks them to show more pride in their faith and not leave it at the door.

Warsi  makes reference to the murder of Shahbaz Bhatti, the only Christian in the Pakistani Cabinet, last March, and calls for more dialog among the religions, and more protection of minority religions in Pakistan and the Middle East.

Says the Baroness:

“We need to create a country in which people can be unashamedly proud of their faith – where they don’t feel that they have to leave religion at the door. That means being proud of Christianity, not downgrading it. It means encouraging people to say that their faith inspires what they do. It means supporting religious charities in delivering public services in schools, hospices and rehabilitation.”

NPR Celebrates Secularist Change In Spain

NPR Plays Up Secularist Change In Spain, Misconstrues Papal Visit | NewsBusters.org.

Matthew Balan  over at Newsbusters… reminds us why we abandoned NPR as a news source.

They attempted to cover a visit by Pope Benedict to Spain, and, being uneducated in world religions, gave incorrect background commentary, as well as excessive enthusiasm for the percentage of Spanish who have left the Catholic Church, or who know nothing about it.

Drop over to newsbusters and see what Lauren Frayer got wrong about Church’s address of the abortion issue in particular.

“In a rare move, the Vatican is offering to forgive women who’ve had abortions, if they confess at World Youth Day. They won’t be excommunicated, as is normally the case.”

NPR is wrong more than it’s right……  Excommunication for direct involvement in abortion proceedings is automatic. No one has to announce it.  The Church has made the means for ‘getting back in’ readily available for people who are repentant. The  notable address of  abortion at  World Youth Day was  to mention it as a specific reason for receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation, which was also  made freely available there.

Off on Pharmer’s tangent we go!

What a BLAZING success  the so-called secularization of Spain has been!   We all want to be sophisticated and reach their level of decline as FAST as possible!  (That might be why Obama was elected.)

Spain is  one of Europe’s most Bankrupt nations.  And one reason they can’t sustain themselves is widespread  failure to remember the  procedure for reproduction.  Let’s get their population  figures…

Not helpful is  Spain’s decision to further ease restrictions on the procedure for getting un-pregnant, so that it is no longer necessary for women to claim the ‘health problem’ of “mental distress” to get an abortion.

Spain has a need to import people at a rapid rate to make up for this reproductive shortfall, and has chosen a extremely lenient immigration policy as  a means to sustain itself, thus incurring additional and immediate economic strain.

Just in Time for Ramadan: Abominations from Twisted Sharia

New Saudi Fatwa Defends Pedophilia as ‘Marriage’ :: Raymond Ibrahim.

Dr. Salih  bin Fawzin,  held in high esteem in Saudi Arabia as a member of its highest religious council, has issued a fatwa defending child rape within the confines of a muslim marriage.  He states that Sharia has no minimum age for marriage and that it may be consummated as soon as the “husband” thinks the little girl can “bear his weight”.

A result of this torture of girls has spawned the advocacy of sex slavery by a whacko female Kuwaiti activist.    Apparently  she’s grossed out by the men in her social circles.

Meet Salwa al-Mutairi, who would sell out women from other countries just to distract her own guys elsewhere.  Pharmer assumes that her personal  experiences with men have not been good.

Follow this link for al Mutairi’s priceless quotes.

One wonders if this news has wrecked the religious season for rational Muslims and if they’d like to give some response to the above mentioned individuals.

Pharmer would like to call your attention to the parallel practice  of planned parenthood in aiding and abetting sex slavery.  Could it be from similar motivations?

Politically Motivated Attack in Norway: Moral Relativism Breeds This

Terrorist proclaimed himself ‘Darwinian,’ not ‘Christian’.

Anders Behring Breivik is a moral relativist, European style, but certainly cannot be branded as a madman.   One thing is certain,  Christianity didn’t make him do it.

Breivik has, with his attacks, achieved widespread distribution of his 1500 page book, which explains his underlying ideology, as well as teaching some of his methodology.

He has also demonstrated what a secular education in moral relativism can achieve for a society.

Breivik points out that one  does not have to be a true  Christian believer to prefer that cultural tradition over Islam.  From a European standpoint, Christianity has allowed  a much more permissive social system than Islam allows.

The European politicians, having welcomed the Muslim influence as a contrast to their own religious vacuum, now have many reasons to be fearful.

Breivik’s  attack was a politically motivated effort against the Labor Party, which he blames for admitting the predominating Muslim influence into his country.

Perhaps America’s leftists can ponder whether they would like the peaceful and orderly methodology of the TEA PARTY, or would they prefer what is going on in Europe these days?

Extra Note:  on the efforts to alter Anders Behring Breivik’s  original facebook profile,  so that people can understand his actual lack of religious affiliation, should they not have the energy to read from his book.

Here’s a screenshot of  the Anders Behring Breivik Facebook profile which was up before the various new Hacks with the fake religious attributions.

Former Sacramento priest files suit against his accuser – Sacramento Living – Sacramento Food and Wine, Home, Health | Sacramento Bee

Former Sacramento priest files suit against his accuser – Sacramento Living – Sacramento Food and Wine, Home, Health | Sacramento Bee.

Perhaps this is the main reason that Fr. John Corapi resigned from priestly functions…… so he could bring a lawsuit against his accuser.

With the shortage of vocations,  the Catholic church in the U.S. really can’t afford to remove every priest who is accused, whether the accusations are true or not.

Many priests arrange never to be alone in a room with another person in order to prevent false accusations.

The Church offers not much possibility for an accused priest, or lay ministers and teachers to defend themselves against false charges.

Having a prominent priest fight back might be a very  necessary thing, although filing suit certainly isn’t “turning the other cheek”.

Too much acquiescence to the accusers, many of whom are not truthful,  could eventually remove the ability of the Church to function in its educational and charitable ministries.

Mark Zuckerberg’s new challenge: Eating only what he kills (and yes, we do mean literally…) – Postcards.

The big Facebook developer, Mark Zuckerberg has decided that this year’s challenge is to only eat the meat of creatures he personally kills, and the requirement is causing his meat consumption to decrease.   So far  his kill list is  fish, lobster, chicken, goat and pig.  The idea he conveys is that people should be thankful for what they’re eating instead of ignoring where it came from.

Says Zuckerberg:  “This year, my personal challenge is around being thankful for the food I have to eat. I think many people forget that a living being has to die for you to eat meat, so my goal revolves around not letting myself forget that and being thankful for what I have.”

Looks as though  Zuckerberg is getting  into his right mind.
