Obama Sez: His ‘Healthcare Doesn’t Fund Abortions’, He Will Force the States to Fund It.

“One more misunderstanding I want to clear up — under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions, and federal conscience laws will remain in place,” the president said in an address to a joint session of Congress to sell health care reforms. -September 10, 2009 FOXNews.com

Obama’s intention, as expressed to the State of Indiana, is that he will force the states to fund abortion with their taxpayer dollars.

The Obama Dept of Health and Human Services  says that the Indiana decision to remove tax funding of abortion providers,  denies needed health care services to  medicaid recipients. Indiana has 28 Planned Parenthood clinics and many hundreds  of other qualified providers  to deliver real  health care to women in the 21 counties affected by the defunding of abortion clinics.  The argument from the HHS  is that defunding planned parenthood restricts choice of providers to  patients dependent on medicaid  funds for their treatment.  (Pharmer notes: this will be the ultimate effect  of Obamacare on everyone).  Here’s the Letter from the Obama HHS  medicaid director  Donald Berwick to Indiana’s  counterpart,  Patricia Casanova.

If Indiana stops funding abortion clinics, as the Federal government is supposed to have done,  the Obama administration intends to cut off  federal funding for all medicaid  patients in the state of Indiana.   His Dept of Health and Human Services, run by the radically pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius is expected to  threaten  all the states similarly.

The message is loud and clear.  We fully  understand that  providing abortion is a prime directive of the Democrat Party, and its importance supercedes that of all other health care.

Perhaps the states will tire of the federal usurpation of their rights, and dictatorial control by the federal government. It appears thus far that Indiana will be putting up a fight.

Let’s hope the state  doesn’t  cave as Texas did to the TSA gropers.

Indiana State House Dems Run Away

Exodus: Dems trigger Statehouse showdown | The Indianapolis Star | indystar.com.

Faced with a similar type of choice as their counterparts in Wisconsin, to serve their Union Bosses or to serve the interests of the people,  the Indiana House Dems have turned tail and run. This has stopped legislative functions in the Indiana House which requires a quorum of two thirds to function.

There is an obvious problem with collective bargaining in public service functions, which has come to include  coercing union membership, and threatening those who oppose their agenda with violence.

Those who claim to serve the public, and take tax payer dollars for doing so, have an obligation to remain on the job.  Public service unions have repeatedly violated our trust, most egregiously in the area of education, and most famously  walking off the job and failing to provide essential services, as in New York, during the ice storm,  and using fraudulent physician signed sick excuses, and co-opting their students for protests as in Wisconsin.

House Votes to Defund Obamacare and Planned Parenthood

House blocks funding for health care law – On Politics: Covering the US Congress, Governors, and the 2012 Election – USATODAY.com.

Congressional Republicans are fairly productive today,   Let’s hope they keep up the pace.  Attached to the bill that will keep the government running are amendments to defund IRS collection of mandatory health care payments, an spending of the Dept of Health and Human Services on Obamacare.    They should also pinch off Kathleen Sebelius’s salary ;-).

Funding for  Abortion and Planned Parenthood, the nations largest abortion provider which has been a prime feature of this blog in the last month,  has been cut off.  This has been a special project of Indiana’s Mike Pence.  Be sure to watch some wonderful videos shot at Planned Parenthoods if you haven’t seen them.  Scroll down.  The New York and New Jersey videos are the best.

Funding for the implemenatation of the mis-named net neutrality has also been blocked.

Happy Friday.

Indiana Right to Life Sets National Precedent with Resolution Denying Democrat Endorsements – Christian Newswire

Hot off the The Christian newswire, Indiana Right to Life has set a policy unlike any other prolife group thus far.  The group will endorse no democrat political candidates.   Prior to this, the group had abandoned hope of finding a suitable prolife democrat for the Indiana house, but their policy now universally abandons the  Dems as a whole.    This results from the Indiana congressional Democrats abandoning their prolife interests entirely, in favor of Obamacare.

Read the Indiana Right to Life proclamation below.

“Whereas the Democratic Party officially endorses the right to unrestricted abortion on demand; andWhereas Democratic leadership continues aggressively to advance federal policies that undermine the right to life of unborn children; andWhereas Congressman Brad Ellsworth, Congressman Baron Hill, and Congressman Joe Donnelly betrayed the trust of pro-life Hoosiers by voting for the pro-abortion federal health care reform bill; andWhereas the Democratic caucus in the Indiana House, under the leadership of Speaker Pat Bauer, continues to block all legislation aimed at limiting, restricting, and reducing abortions in the state of Indiana; andWhereas candidates of the Democratic Party are responsible for the policies and actions of the party and its leadership;Be it resolved that the Indiana Right to Life Political Action Committee will grant no endorsements to any Democratic candidates for any public office.”

This Candidate Accepts no Group Endorsements

That’s what his volunteers tell me, and it agrees with  what  has been gleaned  from the Independence Caucus interactions.

Travis Hankins, running for Indiana 9th district congressional seat, appears to be  Complete and Total Grass Roots Candidate.  Earlier than any other candidate, he has been going door to door in his district, meeting and greeting the public.

He bears watching, to see if his astonishing campaign policy leads to success.

Here’s the campaign site: Travis Hankins for Congress – Conservative Leadership.

There is also an announcement that Hankins is beginning a legal challenge to Obamacare, on the grounds that it violates the constitutional concept of the separation of powers.
