Bob Woodward: Obama is Lying About the Sequester

Bob Woodward, leftie journalist of the Washington Post, in a “random act of Journalism”, has revealed the detailsabout the origin of the ‘sequester‘, which Obama is currently blaming on the Republicans.

Jack Lew and Obama cooked up the ‘sequester‘.  It’s automatically triggered reduction in projected spending, which was to prevent Obama from having to negotiate the issue during the campaign.

Says Woodward: “The president and Lew had this wrong. My extensive reporting for my book “The Price of Politics” shows that the automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors — probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.Obama personally approved of the plan for Lew and Nabors to propose the sequester to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). They did so at 2:30 p.m. July 27, 2011, according to interviews with two senior White House aides who were directly involved.”

Do click on the paragraph above.    You will find out that  Bob Woodward is still a good leftie reporter, working for the Washington Post.  Hecouldn’t dance to the media tune, because Obama’s lie contradicted what he had already written in his own book.
Woodward still thinks that Obama is right to insist on more taxes and, most particularly taxing the rich, but he’s not going along with the lie that the Republicans invented the ‘sequester’.

By the way, the sequester is puny, not enough reduction in spending, and will not cause the projected disasters because very little money is involved, as a percentage of total spending. Since the sequester is Obama’s idea, it does contain disproportionate reductions in projected military expenditures, when compared to government dependency programs.

Washington Post Downsizing

Washington Post is planning to lay off 54 employees, after losing 45.4 million in value, with shares dropping by $6.57 in the 4th quarter of 2012.    That’s for the company as a whole.   The print version of the newspaper is doing worse, losing 12 percent of advertising dollars.  This loss was partly made up by the online paper, and Slate.

Keep up the good work, boycotters.   The lamestream media needs to pay for abdicating its role of policing the activities of government.

Wacky WaPo puts article on Reproductive Coercion under its ON FAITH heading

Doctors warn against ’reproductive coercion’ – The Washington Post.

Of considerable amusement is the placement of an article on reproductive coercion (which does not mention faith or religion)  under the “On Faith” heading.  Perhaps the WaPo editors could explain that.

The article goes on to explain the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists big concern that men might be coercing women to get pregnant by refusing to use condoms, inducing condom failure, or tugging out the IUD.  It goes on to suggest means by which this can be thwarted, including having a stash of the not very effective morning after pills.

Would the ACOG like to include itself under this warning about reproductive coercion?  ACOG and affiliates  have been marketing pills and other birth control modalities to women, thereby eliciting massive changes in behavioral trends.    Of extreme importance is the fact that the birth control methods which women are encouraged to rely on, are not nearly as effective in actual use as they are claimed to be in “perfect use”.  This has lead to  millions of unplanned pregnancies, and millions of abortions.
Reproductive coercion has been the result as the  ACOG seemingly fails to acknowledge   that a natural consequence of the kind of sex which makes babies is …….. BABIES!!!

It would be encouraging to see the ACOG and so-called women’s advocacy groups show a bit more interest in reducing sex slavery, sexual abuse of minors, coercion and incest, even though that might reduce the need for their services.   Those golden handcuffs seem to be an impediment.

MSNBC Has ZIMMERED the Gun Debate- Caught Editing the Video Again

NBC has been the mouthpiece of the left for decades. Your friendly Pharmer was personally caught up in this, long ago, having an hour-long interview turned into a soundbite in a shill for Planned Parenthood. After that interview, all other interview requests from NBC were refused, including their nationally syndicated evening news.

No one should be using NBC or MSNBC as a news source, because their output is fictionalized by heavy and biased editing.

John Nolte of Breitbart has decided to recognize the singular efforts of Eric Wemple at the Washington Post ! for recognizing and reporting on the latest transgression at NBC.
For his efforts to fairly investigate a claim by MSNBC, that the father of a child killed in the Sandy Hook shootings was heckled while giving testimony, Eric Wemple gets links of his coverage:

Was Newtown father really heckled?

MSNBC ‘reviewing’ Newtown ‘heckled’ video

Here’s why Newtown victim’s father was NOT heckled

MSNBC, Huffington Post respond to ‘heckling’ issue

Hannity compares ‘heckling’ case to Zimmerman tape edits

The short of it is that MSNBC edited another tape to portray conservatives and 2nd Amendment supporters as insensitive troglodytes.  They did to all of us collectively, as they did to George Zimmerman, and likely it will have similar  unjust and disastrous consequences.

The proper response to MSNBC  is to stop looking at it, do not click their ads, and try to avoid supporting their known advertisers.  Give MSNBC the corporate “death penalty” for its transgressions.

Here’s a collection of NBC editing efforts on behalf of their leftist agenda.

Terrible Bully Romney Disqualified by Washington Post

…… for forcibly cutting a fellow student’s hair in high school.

Mitt Romney’s prep school classmates recall pranks, but also troubling incidents – The Washington Post.

Mind you, this leftist rag and and many others gave Clinton a pass for forcing sex upon unwilling women, but CUTTING another student’s hair is regarded as an unforgivable imposition.

Click above and marvel at the double standard, but remember not to touch the ads.

Mourdock Nails Lugar with Gas Tax Ad

Did Lugar really support a one dollar per gallon gas tax?? Yes… it was an idea coming from the not-really-conservative Charles Krauthammer, which Lugar endorsed in the Washington Post. This was supposedly a tax on gas which would discourage gas usage, but would be offset by a cut in the payroll tax. Lugar claimed that every working American pays this tax.

Pharmer’s understanding is that every American, who is employed by another, pays this tax. This leaves the self employed to be screwed by the gas tax with no offset. This latter group has been abused too much by the government. Also the payroll tax is the funding vehicle for social security. Is it a good idea to raid the mechanism for paying social security (which is already in the hole) without reducing social security outlays first?

Lugar’s solution was for the government to make a sin tax for gasoline use, to discourage our dependency on oil, and to encourage fuel alternatives. Always a government tax solution for every problem …… he has been in Washington too long.

FDA Approves Ulipristal acetate as Expected

Watson is the generic drug manufacturer which is expected to distribute EllaOne in the US, now that the FDA has approved it for use as a morning after pill.

Headlining at Pharmacists for Life International is a low opinion of the FDA’s decision to spend time on this me-too analog of the abortive drug, mifepristone (RU486), and allow the marketing as a morning after pill.
Below is what Pharmer sent to Rob Stein of the Washington post, at his request. It’s possibly not translatable into language understandable by that newspaper’s readers.

On the sidebar and searchable on this blog is further information on Ulipristal acetate, coming soon to the US, for use in underage girls, (without parental consent) and by women who are ill-informed about the drug and its effects.

Reply to request for statement on the impending approval of Ulipristal:

Ulipristal Acetate, according to its developers, can kill embryos and fetuses, and is marketed in Europe as EllaOne. The low dose 30mg form, has been prioritized for approval by the FDA, which would have served us better by adequately addressing the current, rolling shortages of lifesaving and essential medications.

The embryocidal, ulipristal acetate doses may be accumulated by physicians or patients for medical abortions at home, sidestepping the so-called regulation of mifepristone/misoprostil (the other abortion drug). This will lead to additional life-endangering problems for the targeted adolescent girls and women.

The FDA is expected to continue in its long tradition of relegating females to bottom class health care status.

Reply when asked if pharmacists would refuse to dispense it:

Pharmacists were excused from handling mifepristone/misoprostil, and most were relieved to be sheltered from the ethical and legal liabilities.
The majority would not like providing information and dispensing ulipristal, since it is an analog of mifepristone. Expect attempts to force pharmacists to do so.

If you were to juxtapose the issue of severe drug shortages and the approval of this ‘me-too’, abortifacient in a survey of pharmacists, the majority would express the opinion that the FDA is nearly useless.

Personal note to Rob Stein concerning the FDA’s action:

In my place of employment is a gigantic board listing the shortages and outages of essential medications, such as antibiotics, pain relievers, anaesthetics and drugs for sedation. This problem has been significant for years, and has worsened considerably in the last year, impeding our ability to provide vital care for our patients.

The FDA has placed the approval of this duplicate analog of mifepristone ahead of need to address this severe health care issue. My disrespect for the FDA is profound and beyond the ability to verbalize.
