Life Dynamics and Jill Stanek: Groundbreaking Legal Means to Stop Child Predators

As many pro-lifers know, Jill Stanek has joined with Life Dynamics to report news on the life issues. She’s now reporting on a groundbreaking push by Life Dynamics to hold the abortion industry accountable for concealing the sexual abuse of minors.
This blog has repeatedly referred to the first study, done more than 10 years ago by Life Dynamics, which revealed that over 90 percent of abortion clinics, who were called by an actress portraying a 13 year old girl with 22 year old boyfriend, showed a willingness to flout the laws requiring reporting of suspected sexual abuse of minors. Many of these abortion clinics even provided the methodology to conceal the sexual abuse.
Now Life Dynamics has mailed CDs to 53 thousand personal injury attorneys to educate them on the state laws pertinent to this issue, and the possibility of bringing suit against school officials, health care professionals and clinics which provide services to minors who have been sexually abused by adults, and fail in their legal requirement to report such abuse to the state.
Jill Stanek reports that Mark Crutcher’s phone at Life Dynamics has been ringing incessantly ever since launching this campaign.

Your friendly Pharmer suggests that further rich ground for the lawyers exists and that fear of litigation can dissuade retail pharmacies from stocking Plan B and Ella.

The government can force retailers to sell these drugs to the sexual predators, only if they stock the drug.
In the future, lawsuits might be the tool to stop the government from forcing retailers to stock these drugs. None of the businesses could survive a group of civil lawsuits for aiding sexual predators.

Currently good target states for this kind of litigation are Washington, Oregon and of course, New York. The large retail pharmacy chains would run screaming to the State Boards of Pharmacy for relief from the governments requirement to sell these drugs to minor females and their rapists.

Perhaps the Muslims Complained about OTC Morning After Pills

……… the “Justice” Dept. (that entity which is run by Eric Holder) is appealing Judge Edward Korman’s decision to sell Plan B One-Step and the generic 2 pill version over the counter with the condoms and the tubes of lube.

Feds say that the judge overstepped his legal authority in usurping the position of the FDA.

Your friendly Pharmer thinks that only some words from the Muslims could have induced this Obama administration to fight for  any kind of age restrictions on the purchasing of the morning after pill.

Non-news: FDA Approves Morning After Pills for Girls 15 and Up

FDA has approved  Plan B One-Step, the morning after pill, for girls as young as age 15.

U.S. District Court Edward Korman had previously ordered  the drug to be placed over the counter, and sold  with no age restrictions whatsoever.

This present FDA decision is related to the prior application of Teva for FDA approval of over the counter sales to girls aged 15 and older, and not to Korman’s decision.

Expect the Judge to prevail  (and establish  the FDA to be an agency without authority).   The leftists will continue to complain that 15 year olds do not carry proof of their age when they go shopping, and that younger girls should be weened from their mother and be made sexually available shortly thereafter, with birth control fully accessible to them along with chewable children’s vitamins.

Realistically, most of the morning after pills placed out on the shelves, as the judge demanded,  would be stolen, not purchased, so the worry about a need for proof of age is a moot issue.

Federal Judge Places Morning After Pill over the Counter Without Age Restriction

Your friendly Pharmer came home from work this morning to a message from a Reuter’s reporter, asking for comment on this story.   Lacking real information,  there was not much to do but comment on the inappropriateness of medically uneducated people, making decisions on matters  in that field, and give information on the liabilities of the drug, particularly in teens and adolescents. Naturally, the reporter garbled the message.

Naturally, Pharmer thinks that a judge has no business ruling on whether a drug should be considered safe enough for over the counter sales, (unless he would perhaps rule simply on whether the FDA should exist or not  😉 .

It appears that Judge Edward Korman  of the Eastern NY division of the Federal court has made two decisions on this issue.  One of them impinged on dropping the age to 17 to obtain Plan B One-Step without a prescription.  The actual decision is HERE.

The 2nd and current  decision,  which resembles a temper tantrum in style, further loosens the   restrictions, and has  countermanded Kathleen Sebelius’ Dec. 2011 decision to limit over the counter sales to girls under 17 years of age.  Now it appears that  the FDA is ordered to allow general sale of Plan B One-Step over the counter within the next 30 days, “without point of sale or age restrictions”.   Judge Edward Korman has made a pretty good argument for completely eliminating the FDA, since its decisions are moot, and may be overturned at any time by a medically uneducated Federal Judge.

So far,  only Plan B (levonorgestrel) is being addressed in this decision.  Ella is excluded from consideration.  Korman’s  one-man usurpation of FDA regulatory functions cedes only the label requirements and the  ability to regulate the sale of of the older 2-pill version,  Plan B, back to the agency.

The FDA will have to generate mega-reams of paperwork to address these  and other momentous decisions, such as whether to re-categorize  hydrocodone as a  CII controlled substance.   They have minutiae to manage, and certainly will not have time to appropriately address the rampant and unprecedented drug shortages which are causing medical errors and deaths in our hospitals and communities.

Comment on HHS Mandate Before April 8

Get on over to the AUL Website to link up to the HHS rules commentary section of the government regulations site.  You can drop your low opinion of the HHS mandate on the Obama administration.  AUL makes it easy for you by supplying some comments for you to use.

Thinking that a more global DUMP was called for,  Pharmer  wrote some  delicately worded and diplomatic commentary 😉   The most salient portion is in blue, but feel free to use any part if you have a need for speed.

“Since the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is neither protective nor affordable, it is more accurately called Obamacare.

Much of the Obamacare concept is conveyed in Obama’s address to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, July 17, 2007. Despite efforts to modify Obamacare and the HHS mandate to reduce the killing component, it will always revert, because killing is at the heart of this concept of health care. Killing is also at the heart of the complete lives system which defines how Obamacare addresses lifelong healthcare. As government mismanages health care, resources become increasingly rare, necessitating the sacrifice of older people to preserve the lives of younger or “more useful” people.

Obamacare and the HHS mandate remain corrupt and immoral at their core. Both are a violation of human rights, most particularly the Right to Life which justified the founding of this nation, and the First Amendment rights which allow us to believe and behave in a civilized manner.

The HHS mandate most immediately enslaves those who respect human life, and forces them to service those who assert a legal authority to kill humans. Eliminating some modes of killing or excusing some social groups from the practice is not sufficient. The entire HHS mandate must be eliminated.

Individuals and groups should have the right to either deliver health care, or obtain health care in a manner which does not violate their right to refuse to kill any human organism.

As with any corrupt economic system, Obamacare will lead to exponential growth of the unregulated and non-taxable, black market, health industry which currently addresses the needs of our newest immigrants as well as our current drug shortages.
If we are able to eliminate Obamacare and the HHS mandate, perhaps we could more efficiently rectify the rampant drug shortages which are causing medical errors and deaths in our hospitals and communities.”

You have until April 8..    GET ER DONE!!!!!

Deep Down Inside, Naomi Wolf Has Longed for Strong Males

Feminist, HuffPo Blogger Naomi Wolf in Talks to Join Al Jazeera.

Yes it’s true,  Naomi Wolf, as so  many other old Feministas, is inexorably drawn towards those strong men in the Islamic world.

Pharmer has always felt that the Feminazi’s were sorely missing the image of a strong man in their lives, from childhood onward, and this led to their frustration and extremism.   Naomi Wolf has, from time to time, popped up with indications of this frustration.

Her move to Al Jazeera is ZERO surprise to the this blogger, who is expecting more changes in Naomi’s external demeanor and attire.   😉

The grrls will have  to get used to the idea that in Islam, recreational abortion is frowned upon, and those strong men are the ones who dictate when and how the birth control is accomplished.

Mayor Bloomberg is Birth Controlling the New York Girls

Mona Davids, head of the NYC Parents Union has spoken out against Mayor Bloomberg’s birth control program for high schools in New York’s poorer neighborhoods.   Increasingly, the school health centers are handing out the morning after pill to sexually active students.  This year, 12,721 doses of Plan B  have been handed out, as well as numerous other forms of birth control, including intrauterine devices.  Says Ms. Davids, “I’m in shock. What gives the mayor the right to decide, without adequate notice, to give our children drugs that will impact their bodies and their psyches? He has purposely kept the public and parents in the dark with his agenda.”
NYC has spent 2.7 million dollars dispensing pills to the population which is least likely to use them as directed. 2117 Depo-Provera injections have been administered in 2012 alone to girls whose parents had inadequate or no notification. This drug is prominently associated with osteoporosis, particularly in teen users, because it blocks the usual bone deposition that occurs in those years of growth.
School officials refused to discuss this project with the New York Post, whose reporters found out through FOIA requests that Bloomberg’s birth control project is much larger than originally expected, expanding to 40 school based clinics.

Wacky WaPo puts article on Reproductive Coercion under its ON FAITH heading

Doctors warn against ’reproductive coercion’ – The Washington Post.

Of considerable amusement is the placement of an article on reproductive coercion (which does not mention faith or religion)  under the “On Faith” heading.  Perhaps the WaPo editors could explain that.

The article goes on to explain the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists big concern that men might be coercing women to get pregnant by refusing to use condoms, inducing condom failure, or tugging out the IUD.  It goes on to suggest means by which this can be thwarted, including having a stash of the not very effective morning after pills.

Would the ACOG like to include itself under this warning about reproductive coercion?  ACOG and affiliates  have been marketing pills and other birth control modalities to women, thereby eliciting massive changes in behavioral trends.    Of extreme importance is the fact that the birth control methods which women are encouraged to rely on, are not nearly as effective in actual use as they are claimed to be in “perfect use”.  This has lead to  millions of unplanned pregnancies, and millions of abortions.
Reproductive coercion has been the result as the  ACOG seemingly fails to acknowledge   that a natural consequence of the kind of sex which makes babies is …….. BABIES!!!

It would be encouraging to see the ACOG and so-called women’s advocacy groups show a bit more interest in reducing sex slavery, sexual abuse of minors, coercion and incest, even though that might reduce the need for their services.   Those golden handcuffs seem to be an impediment.

New HHS Mandate Amendment Still Violates First Amendment

Proposal to amend ObamaCare contraceptive rule met with skepticism | Fox News.

Kathleen (Cruella) Sebelius, has slightly broadened conscience exceptions in the HHS mandate. The new amendment still shows her desire to remove all of those who religiously object to paying for birth control, abortion and sterilizations, from the world of business. This is much worse than a status of dhimmitude for strict opponents of abortion, and would serve to force them out of the taxable portion of the U.S. economy. With this amendment, the administration shows that it is not serious about addressing the debt problem by allowing the INFLUX of tax dollars.

The HHS mandate remains a significant part of the many pronged effort by the Obama administration to remove the United States from its position as a world economic leader.

Call A Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance: Weld County, CO, Chooses not to Fund Emergency Birth Control

Weld County vote against emergency contraception leaves patients looking elsewhere | The Colorado Independent.

John Tomasic of the Colorado Independent, expresses his sadness (above)  that Weld  County is not providing the morning after pills to its family planning clinics.

The crux of the issue is that the social conservative politicians in Weld County don’t want to spend tax dollars on relatively ineffective birth control drugs, which can often operate through abortive mechanisms.

Tomasic and his ‘expert’  interviewee, Judith Schlay seemed disturbed that the politicians would have learned the multiple mechanisms of morning after pills via the internet.  Tomasic says – go to the New York Times for your medical info, as he does.  Old-timer Schlay says- go to the university library, etc.

Pharmer says that Pubmed is on the internet, and so is the information provided by the drug manufacturers to their regulatory boards.  Schlay needs to update herself on the myriad sources of medical information.  She might increase her depth of knowledge on the pharmacology of levonorgestrel and ulipristal acetate.

One thing we know for certain- It’s a giant, tax payer funded cash cow to be pounding expensive morning after pills into women, mostly during times when they couldn’t get pregnant even without the pill.  More abortions can be sold if women come to rely on these birth control methods which demonstrate  less than 60% reduction in pregnancy rate,  in actual use.   It’s not hard to find ‘reproductive health care experts’ who want to line their pockets with tax money.
