Charges Against Student Who Wore NRA Shirt Dropped

Judge Eric O’Briant has ordered dismissal of charges against Jared Marcum, the student who was arrested after wearing an NRA T-shirt to school.     The prosecutor agreed with defense attorney, that sticking Jared with a criminal record for failing to stop talking to a cop was excessive.

Jared had been suspended from Logan Middle School, in West Virginia,  for refusing a teachers demand to take off or turn his NRA T-shirt inside out.

Clinton Flip-Flop

Bill Clinton is hailing the Supreme Court decision to overturn portions of the Defense of Marriage Act which HE signed into law in 1996.

Cerebral atherosclerosis and various infectious organisms might have combined to produce this evolution in Clinton’s thinking regarding how we should spend federal dollars, providing benefits to couples who both could have been working all their lives, not supporting children, thereby having more opportunity to accrue their own retirement funds and individual health plans.

By the way, this SCOTUS  decision  affects only the way the Federal government looks at gay marriage, and not how the states view it, with the exception of vacating a court appeal supporting Prop 8 in California.  It’s not as big a deal as some might think.

What do you think should be the next move for churches, which  will need to protect their First Amendment rights to oppose homosexual Activity on a moral basis?  Obama assures us that HE will not force churches to officiate gay marriages.  Like all of his other social agendas…….. someone else will do the forcing for him.

**The Supreme court vacated the 9th Circuit Court decision on California’s Prop 8, so that restriction on homosexual marriage  remains the law of the land in that state.  The federal court takes no position on the states decisions regarding same sex marriage.   Any further attempts to appeal Prop 8 will have to take place in the California state court system.

IRS Head Shulman Record Breaking Number of Visits to White House

IRS Commissioner leads Obama White House Visiters. The Daily Caller.
IRS Commissioner leads Obama White House Visitors. The Daily Caller.

Shulman had more White House visits than any Cabinet member | The Daily Caller.

How can we KNOW that the White house directed IRS persecution of right wing organizations?   Because it’s Commissioner, Douglas Shulman, visited the White house 157 times during the Obama administration, more than any other member.

He visited 118  times during the two years before the 2012 elections, when the IRS was targeting the conservative non-profits.   That’s more than once per week.

Shulman was at the White House far more than any CABINET member.  His predecessor, Mark Everson was at the White house ONCE during George W. Bush’s administration.

More fun facts.

The ACLJ is representing 25  Tea Party groups in a suit  against the IRS.

At least Five Pro Israel groups critical of White House policies were targeted by the IRS.

On the Boy Scouts Specifically Admitting Gay Boys

There’s big news about the Boy Scouts admitting gay C H I L D R E N to their organization. First of all, this is strange because the sex preferences should not even be a big deal during childhood. The organization is temporarily excluding gay scout leaders, but this policy will quickly be overturned by including the government oversight by means of a discrimination lawsuit.

Taking this issue on more globally, this burning question needs to be asked: Why does every single group have to concern itself with the sex lives of its members?

When there is a policy to specifically admit people who advertise where they like to put it, then that issue becomes part of the function of the group, and those preferences must be rubber stamped by every member of the group.

Making an issue of everyone’s sex preferences, adds sex as a primary function of every group. Each time sex invades and is placed at the top of group priorities, a new group will have to form which excludes sex as a part of their mission. This kind if segregation will occur until the government makes it illegal to “think” that there is a proper and improper way to have sex.

People are willing to give up every single other freedom in order to have completely unfettered sex practices, ‘whenever and wherever’. This idea of “freedom” has come to include the sexual abuse of children and animals.
The disorder of America, and a major reason that it is in the death spiral is that the sex preferences have become more important than any other aspect of life.

Sioux Chief Plumbing Company Wins Victory Against HHS Mandate

Alliance Defending Freedom has succeeded in winning an injunction for  Sioux Chief Plumbing Company against the Obama HHS mandate.  This brings to 12 the number of victories for businesses and institutions which have brought suit on first amendment grounds against the Obama administration violations of the First Amendment.

Kathleen Sebelius administers this mandate, which forces businesses to pay for abortions, birth control and sterilizations, regardless of their religious beliefs.  The Obama administration holds that anyone who operates a secular business is not permitted to exercise their religious beliefs in their daily lives and their work.

Generally a court will grant an injunction against a law or government regulation when there is good likelihood that there will be a final ruling against the law.

Alliance Defending Freedom is handling eight additional lawsuits against Obama’s Abortifacient HHS mandate.

A Reason to Reconsider Your Application to DePaul University

De Paul University, Chicago, has mismanaged itself into an untenable situation.

Kristopher Del Campo, chairman of the Young Americans for Freedom was found “guilty” of “Disorderly, Violent, Intimidating or Dangerous Behavior to Self or Others” and “Judicial Process Compliance.”  This conclusion was reached at a De Paul University tribunal which did not allow Del Campo to have counsel.

That charge sounds so horrible!

What he actually  did, was release the names of vandals who admitted to destroying a pro-life display that his group had put up on campus with permission of the University.  His organization posted a copy of the university’s incident report online, just like THIS. <—- Click it!

We have not heard that the vandals will be expelled for their “Disorderly, Violent, Intimidating or Dangerous Behavior to Self or Others”, but that’s what is likely to happen to Mr. Del Campo, 13 weeks before he was to graduate.

So…… for giving out information which would have been public record in any other locality, Del Campo appears to have wasted six figures of tuition dollars to attend this  university, which punishes the victims rather than the criminals.

Pharmer advises you not to similarly waste your yearly $32,000 tuition/fees, and $6,500-$11,000 room and board to attend this institution.  You might wind up being flushed out of the university for doing what  journalists and bloggers do routinely: pasting reports of crimes online.  We’ve all grown up with the first amendment, and have expected freedom of speech.  At the nominally Catholic De Paul University, it’s considered a  crime to report a criminal act.

Frequently, private or ivy league colleges find themselves to be serving as the babysitters of spoiled, or sometimes mentally ill, children of wealthy individuals, or diplomats.  These institutions  attempt to keep the misdeeds of their wards hushed up as a service to the parents, who might return the favor with contributions to the institution well in excess of the tuition dollars.

This might have been the intention of De Paul University to protect the reputations of their benefactors and  their income stream.

With the internet, and cameras everywhere, it is much more difficult to keep a lid on such things.  The administrators of De Paul as well as their benefactors, need to understand that criminal activities cannot be expected to be shrouded in secret anymore, and that they cannot guarantee such complete protection to some of these “children” they are babysitting.

The situation of De Paul University, which finds itself punishing the victims instead of the criminals, results from a failure to connect with today’s reality, and it is likely to hurt their income stream more than the loss of the  13 spoiled brats involved in the vandalism.

More on the Censorship Habit at the Whitehouse

Two years ago, the Obama administration was outed in San Francisco for threatening to exclude reporter Carla Marinucci and other Hearst journalists from future appearances, after she included a video of a protest outside an Obama April 2011 appearance in that city.  The editor at the San Francisco Chronicle, Phil Bronstein, reported on the threat the following day, which the White house officials then denied.

This prompted Chronicle editor Ward Bushee to call the officials out on their lie.  He revealed a day of correspondence between the editors and the White house, which finally resulted in the rescission of the ban.

A portion of the behavior of the media is based on a fear of losing access if they do not faithfully serve the interests of the administration.  The net effect is that Americans have news which is not news, but is merely government feed.

Journalists Report Threats from the White House for Articles Critical of Obama

Bob Woodward reports that he has angered the Obama administration so significantly that he has been threatened by a “very senior person” at Whitehouse.   They did not appreciate Woodward reminding us that Obama originated the sequestration and signed the bill which contained it, on August 2 of 2011, and then threatened veto of any bill which rescinded any part of it.

Woodward also has objected to Obama’s changes in military maneuvers, and blaming the sequestration for these changes.

From Business Insider:  “Earlier today on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Woodward ripped into Obama in what has become an ongoing feud between the veteran Washington Post journalist and the White House. Woodward said Obama was showing a “kind of madness I haven’t seen in a long time” for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.”

Lanny Davis, who served as advisor to former President Clinton reports that he received similar threats from the Obama administration for columns that he wrote in the Washington Times.   In an interview with WMAL radio, Davis said that his editor, John Solomon got a call from a white house official who said “that if he continued to run my columns, he would lose, or his reporters would lose their White House credentials.”

Oregon Baker Threatened by State for Refusing to Make Same Sex Wedding Cake

Aaron Klein, of Sweet Cakes Bakery in Gresham, Oregon is facing threats from the State for refusing the business of two lesbians, requesting a wedding cake.

Klein, who prominently displays symbols of his religion within the bakery, believes that his right to refuse to acknowledge same sex marriage  is a first amendment right.  He is willing to close up shop, rather than be forced to violate his religious beliefs.

Pastors challenge IRS rule with partisan talk – BakersfieldCalifornian.com

Pastors challenge IRS rule with partisan talk – BakersfieldCalifornian.com.

What makes most non profit 501 (C)(3) tax exempt groups so quiet about their causes? Why are they afraid to name names, and speak loudly against the politicians who oppose them? On this past Pulpit Freedom Sunday, more than 1500 Pastors openly defied the 1954 IRS regulation which sought to squash political speech by non profit groups, by scaring them with the IRS boogieman.
In all these 58 years, the IRS has done next to nothing against politically activist churches and non-profits. The IRS has only succeeded in stripping one church of its tax exempt status, in 1992. That particular church in Binghamton, NY ran newspaper ads against Bill Clinton and his positions on abortion and homosexuality.
Since then the IRS has sent only warning letters to a relatively few churches, and since then has had a policy of not enforcing this law.
The Pulpit Freedom Sunday supporters believe that the IRS fears losing ground on this First Amendment issue.

So…….. Why are so many churches and pro-life 501(c)(3) groups so quiet and polite about the political issues which impinge on their cause?
Why don’t they take a chance with their own careers, and income, as so many pro-life health care professionals have been doing? If they led by example, more people would be standing up and taking personal risks to stand up for life.

Don’t forget, the supposedly non-profit, tax funded, and tax exempt planned unparenthood has been openly funding and endorsing candidates for years.
