Mitt Romney Makes Nice with TeaParty by Picking Paul Ryan as as VP
Watch Congressman Paul Ryan rip up the Obamacare Budget and point out that millions of seniors LOSE MEDICARE as a result of Obamacare funding, as well as the double accounting that causes this problem. It’s why Obama can’t stand him, and a reason why the Tea Party thinks he’s OK. Romney likely has chosen Ryan for the purpose of attracting Tea Party support in the general election.
Dems Dump Their Senate Primary Winner in Tennessee
Mark Clayton, who won the Democrat primary to run against Republican Senator Bob Corker, has been dumped by his party for being too conservative.
Clayton is vice president of a group called Public Advocate of the United States. Below are ideas which this group upholds, (quoted from their own website) which are ANATHEMA to the Democrat party,
A federal traditional marriage (man-woman) amendment to the Constitution to defend tradional marriage from assaults from those who claim to promote “same sex marriage”;
School prayer and the freedom of religious expression in public places;
Faith-based and community initiatives;
Pro-life legislation;
The promotion and protection of the Boy Scouts, organized sports and other activities that reinforce morality, accountability and leadership in our youth;
Tax cuts and the exposure of wasteful “pork barrel” spending for the benefit of liberal special interests;
Equality under the law, regardless of one’s sexual orientation.
The Tennessee Dems so strongly oppose these values that they threw out the winner of their primary, and have essentially conceded the Senate race to the Republicans.
Tea Party Spanks Republican Establishment in Texas
Ted Cruz, a Tea Party candidate who has never held political office, beat Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, in a primary runoff election for the senate seat in Texas. This is quite an costly upset for the OLD Republicans, and another sign of surging Tea Party strength. This second runoff resulted because David Dewhurst was unable to garner 50 percent of the vote in the regular primary.

New Alan West Ad
A potential future president who is a real American :
If Alan West were running for Congress in Indiana, his signs would be all over the Pharm.
Give Hoosiers Some Credit, Ken Blackwell
American Sovereignty: LOST at Sea?.
Above linked is some useful commentary from Ken Blackwell illustrating the need to clear the old RINOs out of the Senate. It mentions the aptly named LOST treaty, which pretty much signifies in one acronym, the effect on the United States. We really do not need the UN choosing a tribunal to govern the sea, given its track record in support of corruption and human rights abuse.
Pharmer had cause for worry when Sen John Kyl of Arizona decided to retire shortly after warning us about the START treaty and its negative effects on U.S. self defense.
On the other hand, Lugar was known to have favored this give away, unilateral disarmament, which surely made Vladimir Putin’s whole year. While Hoosier Tea Partiers likely remain less aware of LOST, (possibly due to being a land locked state), knowledge of START has been fairly common.
Richard Lugar was being praised by Obama as a foreign policy Rock Star. That was a signal even to the soccer moms who don’t keep up with international affairs. 😉
Lugar retired in 61 to 39 LANDSLIDE……… send some money for Mourdock’s November election campaign.
Indiana Landslide: Mourdock sends Lugar into Retirement
Senate veteran Richard Lugar loses primary to tea party-backed GOP State Treasurer after six terms .
Yes, a 60/40 split is a true landslide. Your friendly Pharmer has been waiting for Lugar to retire.
Signs that Lugar had been in place for two long were his approval of Obama’s Supreme court appointees and his HHS secretary. He had lost the support of pro-lifers and the NRA.
Despite Lugar’s 10 to 1 ad expenditures, he could not defeat the strong Teaparty support behind Mourdock. Towards the end, the incumbent was begging democrats to cross over and and support him in the primary. He even ran a democrat-style television ad featuring an elderly lady expressing fear that Mourdock would take away her social security. (Note that the Ryan plan, which Mourdock supports, does not remove funding from those already on social security.)
A series of Mourdock signs have adorned the Pharm this past month. The one below survived regular inspections by cattle, as well as three significant storms, to remain in place through election day.
Mourdock recycles, so Pharmer will be out collecting signs this evening. 🙂
Do you think that Lugar will spend his retirement in Indiana??
Does Obama Wagyu the Dog?
Obama’s campaign has taken multiple pot shots at Mitt Romney for crating the family dog on the roof of the car to travel on vacation, back in the 80’s
The politically alert realize that Romney campaign groups are just plain MEAN, and could not be expected to miss the opportunity found in Obama’s first book, “Dreams from my Father”. Obama even read this info aloud in audio book form. Lolo Soetoro fed him dog meat when he was young.
Yep, the president was fed dog meat, snake, grashoppers and other delectable items by his stepfather while he lived in Indonesia. Pharmer wonders if in his new rarified existence, Obama has had access to a Wagyu form of tenderized dog meat. Mmmmmm mmmmmm goood! More fun and pics can be found at Gateway Pundit.
PETA is probably going to blow a gasket.
*Update: An Indonesian diplomatic source says that eating dog is NOT common practice in Indonesia, and is generally illegal in Jakarta and other areas.
Rick Santorum bows out of Presidential race — Tea Party for Indiana?
Rick Santorum bows out of Presidential race | Washington Times Communities.
Some love comes from the Communities of the Washington Times for Santorum as he bows out of the presidential race.
This leaves only Romney to have any serious chance of winning the nomination.
Once more, Indiana has no real voice in choosing the Republican candidate for the Presidency. In light of this trend, do you think it would make sense for the Tea Party to become Indiana’s opposition party to the Democrats?
Speaking of Tea Party, We the Hoosiers will hear up to four Congressional candidates (Don Bates, Jr.,Bill Frazier, Travis Hankins and Joe VanWyke) who are vying for the 6th district seat.
