Journalists Report Threats from the White House for Articles Critical of Obama

Bob Woodward reports that he has angered the Obama administration so significantly that he has been threatened by a “very senior person” at Whitehouse.   They did not appreciate Woodward reminding us that Obama originated the sequestration and signed the bill which contained it, on August 2 of 2011, and then threatened veto of any bill which rescinded any part of it.

Woodward also has objected to Obama’s changes in military maneuvers, and blaming the sequestration for these changes.

From Business Insider:  “Earlier today on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Woodward ripped into Obama in what has become an ongoing feud between the veteran Washington Post journalist and the White House. Woodward said Obama was showing a “kind of madness I haven’t seen in a long time” for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.”

Lanny Davis, who served as advisor to former President Clinton reports that he received similar threats from the Obama administration for columns that he wrote in the Washington Times.   In an interview with WMAL radio, Davis said that his editor, John Solomon got a call from a white house official who said “that if he continued to run my columns, he would lose, or his reporters would lose their White House credentials.”

Bob Woodward: Obama is Lying About the Sequester

Bob Woodward, leftie journalist of the Washington Post, in a “random act of Journalism”, has revealed the detailsabout the origin of the ‘sequester‘, which Obama is currently blaming on the Republicans.

Jack Lew and Obama cooked up the ‘sequester‘.  It’s automatically triggered reduction in projected spending, which was to prevent Obama from having to negotiate the issue during the campaign.

Says Woodward: “The president and Lew had this wrong. My extensive reporting for my book “The Price of Politics” shows that the automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors — probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.Obama personally approved of the plan for Lew and Nabors to propose the sequester to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). They did so at 2:30 p.m. July 27, 2011, according to interviews with two senior White House aides who were directly involved.”

Do click on the paragraph above.    You will find out that  Bob Woodward is still a good leftie reporter, working for the Washington Post.  Hecouldn’t dance to the media tune, because Obama’s lie contradicted what he had already written in his own book.
Woodward still thinks that Obama is right to insist on more taxes and, most particularly taxing the rich, but he’s not going along with the lie that the Republicans invented the ‘sequester’.

By the way, the sequester is puny, not enough reduction in spending, and will not cause the projected disasters because very little money is involved, as a percentage of total spending. Since the sequester is Obama’s idea, it does contain disproportionate reductions in projected military expenditures, when compared to government dependency programs.

Abandoned: the Fort Hood Victims of Major Hasan

Fort Hood Hero Says Obama ‘Betrayed’ Her, Other Victims – ABC News.

The Obama administration has sought to save health care funds by downgrading the shootings of Ft. Hood as “workplace violence”.

Though Obama saw fit to kill Maj. Nidal Hasan’s alleged instigator, Anwar al-Awlaki, and his underage son by a drone attack, calling them terrorists,  he oddly would not treat the veterans who were killed or wounded in the attack as is customary in the military.  Many of them were forced to leave the military as a result of their injuries, but they do not have the usual benefits and medical coverage that would be accorded to wounded veterans.

Some are having to find private physicians to treat their ongoing injuries.  Sgt. Kimberly Munley, who was shot three times  while confronting Hasan,  has been laid off.   Her partner Sgt. Mark Todd  is the one credited with the five shots which stopped Hasan’s rampage.

Munley is the veteran who was used for an Obama photo-0p, sitting next to Michelle Obama, at the 2010 state of the union address.  She now feels betrayed, and let down after Obama’s promise that the victims would be well taken care of.

A lawsuit is in the works against the military, as is a movie about the Ft. Hood shooting.   You can learn more about this group which is among  the  thousands of Obama photo-op “victims” who were promised administrative ‘love’ and  federal aid, and were subsequently abandoned.  CLICK HERE!

“American Sniper” Author Chris Kyle Killed at Shooting Range

Eddie Ray Routh is being held as the prime suspect in the shooting death of famed Navy Seal Sniper, Chris Kyle, and one other veteran, Chad Littlefield,  at a charity event held at Rough Creek Lodge Shooting Range in Texas.  The two victims were killed at point blank at about 3:30, and the suspect, said to have fled in Kyle’s truck, was apprehended hours later in Lancaster, TX.  Routh is said to have been a marine, with the media providing his impetus for the shooting as post traumatic stress disorder.

Chris Kyle served with Navy Seal Team 3, completing  four tours of duty in Iraq, for which he was awarded numerous military honors.  He is regarded as the U.S. Military’s most prolific sniper. Since leaving the military, he headed a private firm, Craft International, which provided private security and  sniper instruction for law enforcement and military.  A co-founder of FITCO Cares Foundation, Kyle was involved in numerous charities and spent much of his spare time assisting disabled veterans.

After surviving two previous shootings, and six IED explosions, Chris Kyle met his untimely death at age 39, at the hands of a fellow service veteran.   He leaves behind his wife and two children.

Readers who want to understand the mind and career of Chris Kyle can check out his recently released best selling book, American Sniper.

Wacky WaPo puts article on Reproductive Coercion under its ON FAITH heading

Doctors warn against ’reproductive coercion’ – The Washington Post.

Of considerable amusement is the placement of an article on reproductive coercion (which does not mention faith or religion)  under the “On Faith” heading.  Perhaps the WaPo editors could explain that.

The article goes on to explain the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists big concern that men might be coercing women to get pregnant by refusing to use condoms, inducing condom failure, or tugging out the IUD.  It goes on to suggest means by which this can be thwarted, including having a stash of the not very effective morning after pills.

Would the ACOG like to include itself under this warning about reproductive coercion?  ACOG and affiliates  have been marketing pills and other birth control modalities to women, thereby eliciting massive changes in behavioral trends.    Of extreme importance is the fact that the birth control methods which women are encouraged to rely on, are not nearly as effective in actual use as they are claimed to be in “perfect use”.  This has lead to  millions of unplanned pregnancies, and millions of abortions.
Reproductive coercion has been the result as the  ACOG seemingly fails to acknowledge   that a natural consequence of the kind of sex which makes babies is …….. BABIES!!!

It would be encouraging to see the ACOG and so-called women’s advocacy groups show a bit more interest in reducing sex slavery, sexual abuse of minors, coercion and incest, even though that might reduce the need for their services.   Those golden handcuffs seem to be an impediment.

New HHS Mandate Amendment Still Violates First Amendment

Proposal to amend ObamaCare contraceptive rule met with skepticism | Fox News.

Kathleen (Cruella) Sebelius, has slightly broadened conscience exceptions in the HHS mandate. The new amendment still shows her desire to remove all of those who religiously object to paying for birth control, abortion and sterilizations, from the world of business. This is much worse than a status of dhimmitude for strict opponents of abortion, and would serve to force them out of the taxable portion of the U.S. economy. With this amendment, the administration shows that it is not serious about addressing the debt problem by allowing the INFLUX of tax dollars.

The HHS mandate remains a significant part of the many pronged effort by the Obama administration to remove the United States from its position as a world economic leader.

Obama Possibly Chose Chuck Hegel for His Incompetence

Hagel’s 7 Worst Moments in Round One | Washington Free Beacon.

Chuck Hagel’s blundering and gaffes, during the first part of his confirmation hearings to head the Defense Dept. left senators shocked by his performance. Click above to watch videos showing some of his blunders above. Most particularly striking is his endorsement of Obama’s Iran nuclear containment position, and shortly later saying that there is no position on containment.

Sooo Classy: Obama Adm. Booted General Via Public Announcement of His Replacement

Report: Washington Didn’t Even Tell Marine Gen. He Was Being Replaced | TheBlaze.com.

Marine Corps General James Mattis was appointed Commander of the U.S. Central Command in 2010.  Apparently his review and questioning of U.S. military  policy rankled the civilian officials sufficiently that he was summarily booted.

The method of dismissal?    General Mattis was indirectly notified subsequent to a public Pentagon announcement of his replacement.   An aide who saw the  announcement, passed the General a note while he was in a meeting.

Sooo classy.  This is how much regard the Commander in Chief has for those who serve him in the military.

Incidentally, Mattis is said to be  well regarded by his military colleagues, and respected for his independence of thought and professionalism.   Perhaps that DOES make him unsuitable for service in the Obama administration.

Call A Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance: Weld County, CO, Chooses not to Fund Emergency Birth Control

Weld County vote against emergency contraception leaves patients looking elsewhere | The Colorado Independent.

John Tomasic of the Colorado Independent, expresses his sadness (above)  that Weld  County is not providing the morning after pills to its family planning clinics.

The crux of the issue is that the social conservative politicians in Weld County don’t want to spend tax dollars on relatively ineffective birth control drugs, which can often operate through abortive mechanisms.

Tomasic and his ‘expert’  interviewee, Judith Schlay seemed disturbed that the politicians would have learned the multiple mechanisms of morning after pills via the internet.  Tomasic says – go to the New York Times for your medical info, as he does.  Old-timer Schlay says- go to the university library, etc.

Pharmer says that Pubmed is on the internet, and so is the information provided by the drug manufacturers to their regulatory boards.  Schlay needs to update herself on the myriad sources of medical information.  She might increase her depth of knowledge on the pharmacology of levonorgestrel and ulipristal acetate.

One thing we know for certain- It’s a giant, tax payer funded cash cow to be pounding expensive morning after pills into women, mostly during times when they couldn’t get pregnant even without the pill.  More abortions can be sold if women come to rely on these birth control methods which demonstrate  less than 60% reduction in pregnancy rate,  in actual use.   It’s not hard to find ‘reproductive health care experts’ who want to line their pockets with tax money.
