Are You Wearing Camo to Church?

Conservative organizations such as Clash Daily are encouraging supporters of Phil Robertson to wear camo to church in solidarity, on Sunday, Dec 22.   Why not do it repeatedly?

Solidarity with Phil
Solidarity with Phil

Getting the jump on the occasion,  Yours truly wore camo to the 4:00PM Saturday Mass, and will remain so highly fashionable this weekend while Christmas shopping in the city.  There’s an extra reason to support Phil Robertson, a matter of giving back.  The Evangelical and the Fundamentalist Christians were quick to offer solidarity and support when your friendly Pharmer was fired at almost the same time of year, 12/19, (exactly 2 years before Clinton was impeached)  for refusing to dispense an abortive drug.

Phil Painted A&E Into a Corner

Duck -Roasted Duck Drudge 12-19-13

A&E execs are the losers, that’s for sure. Pharmer thinks their self destruction has been pre-ordained. If it had not been touched off by the G Q interview of Phil’s it would have been his next, or the one after that. He’s going to let A&E do themselves in.
Pharmer would like to congratulate Phil Robertson for getting it done. He has probably been tired of A&E’s management of the show, and the general encroachment of the show on the rest of his time. By this time, Phil and his family could do the kind of shows that they want, better and more efficiently than A&E. The Robertson family is made up of smarter people than the A&E execs, as exemplified by their painting that network into a totally LOSING situation.
After Duck Dynasty, A&E will shrink to nothing, (look at the rest of their programming to see why), and Duck Commander will forge on, bigger than ever.
Incidentally, not all of the gay people are needing or wanting the kind of “defense” that comes from A&E, or the nuts from GLAAD. Plenty of them realize that killing free speech of those who don’t agree with homosexual acts, can eventually lead to their own loss of personal freedom. Social trends and fashions are always in a state of flux. The First Amendment is a good thing for everybody.

Judge Cites Same-Sex Marriage in Declaring Polygamy Ban Unconstitutional

Judge Cites Same-Sex Marriage in Declaring Polygamy Ban Unconstitutional.

We all knew it would happen.  If the courts invented a right to Homosexual marriage, then the practice of Polygamy would soon be decriminalized, then declared a right.  U.S. District  Judge Clark Waddoups got it done in Utah.  As a condition for statehood in 1896, Utah had to make polygamy illegal.  That law has now been overturned, on the basis that if same sex marriage is protected, then so is any other kind.
The lawsuit in question was designed by Jonathan Turley of George Washington University, which sought to first decriminalize polygamy, then obtain state recognition for this. Turley’s idea of polygamy includes polygyny, polyandry and polyamory, a big group lovefest.
There will be more fireworks as the government forces the churches to recognize these kinds arrangements.  Next there will be marriages to animals and inanimate objects.

Two More Lawsuits Against Sebelius and the HHS Mandate Move Forward

The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago has ruled in favor of the plaintiffs in cases of Korte v. Sebelius, 12-3841, and Grote v. Sebelius, 13-1077.  These two cases, brought by Catholic business owners, argued against the HHS mandate which forces businesses to pay for birth control/sterilization/abortion.  Orders by lower courts have been blocked by the Court of appeals, and the finding written by Judge Diane Sykes, supports both the business owners’ AND the corporations’ option to sue over the HHS mandate.

The cases are returned to trial courts with instructions to block enforcement of the HHS mandate of the 2010 Obamacare act.  The 2-1 decision reversed those of the lower courts against the Catholic families and their businesses.  Edward White, the lawyer representing Cyril B. Korte says that he expects the Supreme Court to eventually take up this case due to its importance as a national issue  “to the people who run these small companies and are dictated by their faith in how they should run the company.”

Pope Francis is a Nurse Type

The Pope has gone viral again for embracing and praying with a guy whose neurofibromatosis condition has given him a pretty gnarly appearance.

Yep, the Pope is a nurse type.  Not a pharmacist.  No touchie phobia at all.  😉

Hopefully that guy obtained good emotional benefit from the extra love he received from the Pope in St. Peter’s square.

Your friendly Pharmer thinks that Pope Francis is reminding us not to kill people because they are sick.  Anyone listening???  Obama???  Zeke Emanuel?  Peter Singer?  Democrats?? Social engineers???? hellooooooooo

Cardinal Raymond Burke: Deny Communion to Pelosi

Cardinal Raymond Burke, as prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura in the Vatican, says that the time has come for Nancy Pelosi to be denied communion.  She has been publicly flouting Catholic teaching, and ignoring all requests to cease and desist promoting and supporting such Obamanations as Abortion and same sex marriage.  Apparently Cardinal Burke, now ensconced in a lofty perch in Rome,  has had enough.

Archbishop Donald Wuerl of Washington DC, still loves him some Nancy P.,  and has said that he will not stop giving Communion to her.   One wonders if he answers at all to the authorities in the Vatican.

NewsMax, which exhibits a greater than usual interest in things Catholic, has more if you click HERE.

Before you read the inanity from Archbishop Wuerl, that the Church does not use Communion as a weapon, consider this:  Excommunication is not revenge or punishment.  It is an urgent call from the Church to cease a severely sinful practice or lifestyle.  It is, metaphorically speaking, for the purpose of preventing humans  from being flushed down the cosmic toilet, into an eternal sewer…… far worse than the dredges of the Potomac.

Atheists are screeching about Ball State’s Profs who believe in Intelligent design.

The hiring of Astronomy Prof Guillermo Gonzalez by Ball State University in Muncie Indiana has induced the misnamed  “Freedom from Religion Foundation” members to ‘urinate  lava’ once more.  The physical consequences of this inspire the Pharmer to call for them a fire truck as well as a

WAAAAAMBULANCE!
WAAAAAMBULANCE!

While unable to understand the inherent contradiction in his organization’s name,  (Atheism is a religion),  attorney Andrew Seidel  has focused his efforts to suppress freedom of thought at educational institutions.

Intelligent design involves a belief that God started the creation of things, but it does not specify a mechanism.  Therefore, those who believe in intelligent design may entertain all sorts of scientific…… T H E O R I E S ….about the mechanisms by which things were brought into existence.  (Dogmatist Atheists, please review the term ‘theory’.)
Creationism is a subset of belief,  under the umbrella of the thought  that God started things, and it  generally purports that He is much more involved in the specific steps of formation and maintenance.
Equating Creationism and Intelligent Design, as Andrew Seidel appears to do, demonstrates a good deal of ignorance of religion, science and philosophy.
Freedom of thought and inquiry at universities has certainly been stifled by intolerant and close minded individuals such as Jeffrey Coyne and Andrew Seidel. There is nothing wrong with suggesting to students that a Creator started things.  The default RELIGIOUS belief of atheists, that things are self initiating and self maintaining, has no physically demonstrable basis, and is as much a BELIEF, as intelligent design or creationism.  Any promulgation of the religious belief, that things created themselves, should be under equal  public scrutiny as the suggestions by Ball State’s other intelligent design proponent, Eric Hedin, who is now under “investigation” for his course content.

Professor Gonzalez should not feel that he has to continue restricting his more expansive thoughts on the origins of things to his blog.

Line in the Sand

Pastor Robert Dekker asked city officials in Rehoboth, Delaware to allow him to hold some religious services on the public beach this summer.  He was denied, with the explanation that allowing him to do so would be mixing Church and state.   It has been noted that an Easter sunrise service has been allowed on the property.

Contact information for the city Board of Commissoners has been provided HERE, as well as a general contact box HERE if you would like to give them a piece of your mind.

Pastor Dekker intends to give a “Line in the Sand” Sermon on the public beach on July 4th, and is promoting the event, to draw attention to state efforts to sequester and limit the free expression of faith.

The Blaze is going to follow the story as it unfolds.

UPDATE:  A big crowd attended Pastor Dekker’s ‘Line in the Sand’ beach service on Independence day.   Law enforcement allowed it to proceed uninterrupted.
