Biased Sociology Classes and How to Avoid Them.

Anna Chapman reports from the University of South Carolina that her Sociology textbook, by Karen K. Kirst-Ashman, is so extremely biased against political conservatives, “so in your face” that “people need to know about it”. The book is used for the Introduction to Social Work Profession and Social Welfare class, which is first in line in the USC social work program.

Selections from the textbook, trashing Ronald Reagan with false claims, and painting conservatives as anti-woman and anti-charity, reveal the author’s divorce from reality. Ignoring Reagan’s numerous female appointees, including first women ever appointed to the Supreme Court, UN ambassador, and Secretary of Transportation, the book stated that Reagan “ascribed to women primarily domestic functions, and failed to appoint many women to significant positions of power.” By the way, Reagan’s HHS secretary was also female.

University of South Carolina is preparing kids for a low paying career in social work by filling them with information that just isn’t true. This institution and other universities are defrauding their students by 1) telling them lies, and 2) charging outrageous prices, and 3) encouraging huge indebtedness to prepare people for careers with nearly the lowest return on investment for college graduates.

There are ways to protect yourself from high priced brainwashing in Sociology class, if you need to take it to fulfill a general educational requirement.

Some high schools offer early college, and it seems that many community colleges are not as freakishly leftist as larger universities. You can opt to get a sociology requirement out of way using those options, for less tuition cost.
If you are a decent test taker, use this method to fulfill the requirement. Pretend you are a flaming leftist while taking the CLEP test. The evil “Teddy Kennedy” persona got a 98 percentile on the sociology CLEP test that your friendly Pharmer took. CLEP testing is still the cheapest and best option for earning college credit to fulfill general requirements. Don’t forget to review a glossary or summary of sociology terminology and buzzwords before testing, or skim a textbook if you have a strong stomach. You can guess at the bogus study results and do OK.

These avoidance strategies are a form of boycott, and serve to shrink a detrimental academic industry. Never pay full tuition prices to have your mind filled with Crap.

Boycott of Girl Scouts of America Gathers Steam

When the Girl Scouts of America decided to honor Abortion Barbie, Wendy Davis, as an outstanding female role model for their girls, it gave further inspiration to the pro-life efforts to boycott the organization.

The Girl Scouts are said to have lost membership, dropping 20 percent from almost 2.9 to 2.3 million during the time since John Pisciotta started up his first boycott in 2003. In the same period, donations dropped more than 30 percent, from about 140 million to 104 million, annually.

Piscotti’s boycott was a local effort addressing the hookup between a regional council and Planned Parenthood, presenting “Nobody’s Fool” and presenting literature to kids which showed various sex acts. He is still at it, and has been joined by numerous other religious and pro-life groups, as more chapters of girl scouts, including some in Indiana, have jumped into bed with Planned Parenthood.

When the Girl Scouts organization put Abortion Barbie (and Kathleen Sebelius) on their list of Women of the Year, gas was poured on the flames of the GSA boycott. It’s expected that cookie sales will be poor in 2014.

GSA says that the cookie proceeds go to individual chapters of the organization, but the licensing money that cookie producers pay to the Girl Scout organization is used to promote their leftie organizations of choice, and that includes Planned Parenthood and the leftist World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

There’s big debate over at The Blaze about the decoding of an ancient tablet which describes a vessel designed to save species from a great flood.

To the academicians, this tablet does not support the Biblical account of Noah’s ark, but rather is evidence that the story originates in Babylon.

The lefties are crowing, saying that this tablet somehow invalidates the Bible, calling it PROOF that the Noah’s ark did not exist.

This claim presupposes that ideas never occur more than once, which flies in the face of everyday experience.
Finding an older tablet of specifications for a big boat to preserve life from a flood does not “prove” the non-existence of a later prototype.
The suggestion that it does would imply that discovering the drawings of Da Vinci would somehow “prove” that the aircraft built by the Wright brothers never existed, to a person studying the history of air travel a thousand years from now.

Possibly such leftie logic, exemplified above, will be extinguished before the next millenium, due to natural selection 😉

The anti-Bible and anti-Creator religions are based upon unprovable beliefs, and are based upon faith in the unseen, and things which cannot be objectively established. They are quite divorced from the scientific method, though the word “science” is frequently abused as a mantra in these religions.

Breitbart.com has focused on inaccuracies in the bio of Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis, which misrepresents some of the “hard times” of her life, and depicts her as a divorced teen mom. It seems her first divorce was not until age 21. Another interesting milestone is that her second divorce appears to coincide with the final payment on her Harvard Law School student loan. Impeccable timing.

The more salient point is the fact that Ms. Davis left her daughter Amber, by her first marriage, and her second daughter, Dru, in the custody of husband number 2 after her second divorce. Yep……. mom bailed on the kids. What a gal.

Remember the lefties complaining about Palin’s supposedly neglecting her kids as she campaigned with McCain in 2008?? Palin’s family and her marriage remain intact, to this day. Will you hear the same lefties commenting about Wendy Davis (who gained undying love from Girl Scouts of America with her infamous pro-abortion filibuster) leaving her daughters in the custody of her ex husband while she pursued her political ambitions?

Not a chance. It’s as OK for a left-gurl to abandon her daughters as it is to abort them.

Your friendly Blogger has a general policy of diverting discretionary expenses, and even some others, away from suppliers and merchandisers who oppose the conservative American lifestyle. Few people can be 100% successful at this, but it helps to give it a good try.

Six years ago, the Pharmer decided not to send her kid to New York City on a school class trip. Basically the class trip was a “shopper driven” choice, and the money expended was not commensurate with the educational value. In addition, the people of NYC had persistently been supporting very leftist politicians and policies which are not tolerant of a conservative lifestyle. Bloomberg, for example, ordered the medical schools in NYC to train ob-gyn residents to do abortions, took hostile action against crisis pregnancy centers, doled out the ineffective Plan B to school kids and in general, acted as an intolerant busybody leftist. There was sufficient reason to avoid sending hard earned, discretionary funds to New York City.

Since then, New York City has elected an even crazier and less competent mayor, and the governor of New York State, Andrew Cuomo, has plainly stated that pro-lifers are not welcome in his state.

Pharmer had already understood the general situation, and will continue to withhold funds as much as possible from both NYC and the state. It is suggested to the remaining conservatives in New York that they seriously consider emigration. Yours truly will support refugee and sanctuary programs for genuine, conservative emigrants from New York. These programs are viewed as necessary because New York has a reputation for pursuing emigrants for taxes.

Update: Radio host Sean Hannity announces that he will leave New York State, in response to Andrew Cuomo’s anti conservative rant, and of course the astronomical state taxes.

A&E Preaches Tolerance After It Displayed the Opposite.

The monetary cost was just too high for A&E to persist in its leftist intolerance, so with a hypocritical sermon to the rest of us about “unity, tolerance and acceptance”, the network agreed that Phil Robertson would remain on the Duck Dynasty Series.

After A&E tried to boot out a man who practices all three of their supposed values better than they do, they’re now telling us how to live, and what to think. Objection to specific activities is entirely different from the intolerance that the leftists practice, in trying to destroy the lives of everyone who has opposing opinions and practices. Ask the bakers and the photographers who have lost their livelihoods because they opposed the practice of gay marriage on religious grounds, or health care professionals who have lost their jobs for opposing abortion. Less famous people than Phil are routinely being squashed by leftist intolerance.

A&E has no values which they hold as more important than money. They fear losing that more than anything, and this was clearly demonstrated for all to see. The same can be said for Cracker Barrel. The question for the future is whether you want to support organizations which will throw you and your kind overboard at the first possible opportunity. It is possible for you to obtain Duck Dynasty episodes without having cable television. Buy the series alone from Amazon and stream it through a Roku box. You might be paying for cable only to watch a very few shows. Cut the cable and use the internet. As for Cracker Barrel….. that company appears to be past its prime, now that people understand the nature of its management.

Please consider redirecting your funds away from those who seek to silence you, or remove you from society altogether.

The delayed, Dec 1 deadline also can’t be met. This should increase your longing for a totally socialized system, with the current administration of idiots running it.

Pro-lifers Show up at Portland School Meeting to Support Bill Diss

Friday’s Hearing for Math Teacher Bill Diss, who was suspended for his opposition to Planned Parenthood, was well attended by pro-lifers showing support.
Says Brendan O’Morchoe for LifeNews.com: “The principal of Diss’ school (who has a documented history of attacking and reprimanding Diss for his pro-life views) and vice principal testified against Diss citing instances of students “feeling uncomfortable” with some of the assignments Diss required from them in his math classes. Curiously, evaluations of Diss prior to 2007 were all exemplary.
Only after Diss’ public opposition to Planned Parenthood in his community did the scrutiny and harassment begin. Fellow teachers and a teachers’ union representative dismissed the concerns raised by the principal and vice principal, citing evidence supported by Portland school laws that Diss had not committed any legitimate wrongdoings in his classroom over the course of his career.”

The name of the principal not given in the LifeNews article, but there has been a change of staff. The Old list from last year shows Bill Diss, still teaching, and Carol Campbell as Principal The New List, mostly shown below shows Curtis Wilson as the current principal, and the exemplary math teacher, Mr. Diss is unfortunately gone. One wonders why there was a change of principals for this school year. It’s a mystery.

Lifenews says that Mr. Diss has a lot of support among the students, parents and other teachers. Students for life will be providing the updates and outcome of the decision at the Portland Public School district.
